Simple but very comfortable place, ideal for a stopover

Though it does not look that promising from the outside, it was actually a very comfortable place to stay. Fortunately I had a room facing away from the main road, so there was zero noise. The room was likely recently renovated, it was in very good condition and was really comfortable. It came with all the amenities common in the US (e.g. microwave, coffee machine, fridge). The guy at reception made the stay even better, his friendliness and helpfulness was exceptional. At little more than 100 bucks a night, it was great value for money.

No problems whatsoever: got what I paid for, probably even more.

Firm/better pillows needed.

Everything else is great, facility is great staff is nice.

At the end of a long day it’s nice to come and lay down and rest your head. But these pillows give absolutely no support or comfort to the head or neck. The pillows are sink even with two stacked. An important detail to really let a person get a good nights rest.

Staff unfriendly while checking in, stains on sheets, dust behind bed, terrible amenities, tiny bath towels very inappropriately sized, ridiculous fan that must be used with light-not separate controls, clock on bedside table very old and didn’t function, chairs at table ripped up.

Would not stay there again.

Newly refurbished room. Large. Clean.

Second floor- no elevator. V limited parking. Had to park on the street. No ice machine. No breakfast.

Definitely our place to stay in Ventura!

The room was very clean. The beds were super comfortable. The bathroom was also very cute and up to date. From the outside of the Motel, it does not seem like much, but the room really exceeded our expectations.

first of all the man at the front desk, Neal was very efficient and accommodating. We love staying at the Crystal lodge when in Ventura. it actually very clean and as been remodeled. definitely will be back.

Clean spacious kitchen units with free parking

Clean modern bathroom, kitchen though no cups or cutlery but stove, full size fridge and freezer, microwave, sink, some cooking pans and plates. Our room was large with 3 queen size beds, a small table for 2, TV that we didn't watch and I doubt it can connect to your Netflix, a small shelf to hang your clothes. It worked for us and price was affordable.

I wished there were cups in the room though there were paper mugs but you can't heat them up in microwave. There were 2 big towels, 2 small towels and 2 wash cloths and the quality of them was poor..you could see the threads on your hands or face. If you are staying here, and you should as the room is big and clean and kitchen is big enough, take your towels and kitchen items you need, then you are golden.

I would stay here again!

The Crystal Lodge Motel was an older property but remodeled. The owner made check-in so easy and he offered suggestions for things to do and places to eat. He was so friendly and that’s a huge plus in the hospitality business. We had a room on the back side away from the street and it was so quiet. The remodeled room was remarkable. The location was in close proximity to almost everything in town including being just a few blocks away from the beach.

There was no breakfast but there was a refrigerator and a Keurig for coffee.

I would stay here again

The room was nicely decorated and comfortable, it was a bit snug but understandable so the beds could be big and comfy. It was very clean and the bathroom was spacious and appeared to be newly remodeled. The person that checked us in was nice and helped direct us to area restaurants. Great place for breakfast just a block away.

The parking is limited so if you have a lot to carry, get there early, but there is still street parking and the neighbor seemed safe..

I love this property it’s a completely hidden gem. always clean and up to my standards. so spacious and comfortable. very cute and reliable. the staff is very professional and quick. love coming here, I will be back soon.

The kitchen area and bathroom were both remodeled and very nice. The beds were ok but seemed already slept in maybe (there was spots and fuzz in the sheets). The front desk guy was really nice too and gave us a free upgrade.

I felt like I was in a dorm building. I could hear literally every little thing people said all over (from rooms to being outside). No elevator. Parking can be a pain. Quiet area but not quiet customers around us (not really the staffs fault).

The bed and pillows are very comfortable, shower had good pressure and lots of hot water. The staff was friendly. This suite has a kitchen but practically no equipment for using it. Great place to sleep and shower but don’t rent it thinking you can use the kitchen.

I had a very late check in due to the Southwest Airlines Holiday travel *uck ups and the night clerk was very accommodating. As per the reviews, the rooms were clean, comfortable and remodeled. The shower pressure was amazing and hot water at every use. A nice touch was the plug in air freshener! As requested, we had a ground floor in the back and did not hear any traffic noise. Neal was very pleasant and we had zero issues.

The exterior was dated but the rooms were not. The room may have been a tiny bit small but, the bathroom was huge and that is a plus for me!

A great experience!

We've been here before, and some improvements are being made. It's a nice hidden gem with wonderful staff. Another couple had canceled, and we were asked if we would like to upgrade for free! What a sweet extra for our anniversary!

We were totally happy. You don't complain about incidentals even if you could find any. Besides, we weren't expecting a full kitchen, why be unhappy because there was no steak knives? It was great.
