The location is the highlight! You're steps from the beach, restaurants and most of the landmarks in Ventura.
We were first assigned a room right next to the storage closet and unfortunately there was a ton of slamming which made it hard to rest. The staff did try to help us so we moved to a new room which was better but in moving we inadvertently left behind some of our wine bottles and when we tried to get them from "lost and found" we were informed that alcohol isn't stored for guests which was a bummer. All in all, location is great but the hospitality left more to be desired.

The cleaning staff was exceptional. The front desk staff was kind and attentive. The beach room view was perfect and inviting, the room cozy and comfortable. The free coffee downstairs was great.
Carpet off elevator needs to be shampooed. Vending machine on floor 11 not working.
Complimentary water in fridge would be a plus!

It was the perfect location. Everything was within walking distance. The staff were wonderful. We had breakfast every morning in the hotel restaurant. The food was delicious.
My only complaint was the bed was lumpy.

It’s clean and beautiful and right on the ocean. Very convention get to and around town.
Parking cost wasn’t mentioned before arrival. The train was annoying at first.

The room was very comfortable. It was close to downtown and restaurants and still on the beach. The hotel was very dog friendly.
No free parking. While I had an "ocean view," (partial) it was also a view of the roof with its duct work (very ugly) and the dumpsters. My room was right by the freeway, so traffic noise was very loud. Also my room was by the housekeeping closet and that was loud as well.

The room and bed were very comfortable. The lounge was nice, Daniel at the bar was great at his job. The location was close to everything we wanted to do.

Despite the rain, we thoroughly enjoyed the location and this hotel service, including the complimentary breakfast. However, we could not walk along the beach promenade due to the unfavorable weather. We still considered this stay reasonably comfortable. I will come back again, unquestionably.
Oh, we needed the sunshine, not the storming beyond our control. It would be great to have the water machine in the lobby where we could always fill the water bottle. The marketplace next to the reception had a relatively higher cost.

Clean, close to the beach and downtown
I booked my room a year in advance and was happy to read every room has balcony with ocean view. But that was very deceptive. Sure we had a balcony, with a view of the rooftop air conditioning units. If we looked right, it was the freeway and if we look left and stood on our toes we could see a glimpse of the ocean. The lower floors should not be the same price as the upper rooms. We didn’t even have balcony furniture because they know no one would want to sit out there.

Great location near water. Great view of ocean. Comfortable king size bed. Aloha steakhouse next door.
The curtain broke trying to open. The kuerig coffee maker was nice but not quite as simple to operate as the one at home. Would get a room facing more towards ocean next time.

The staff and room were wonderful!! The view of the ocean was amazing!
Great breakfast at the restaurant in the hotel.
We had to pay $18 a day to park at the hotel. The freeway is really close, and you could hear traffic all night.

The location was the best part. The pool and fire pit was a nice area to hang out.
The air conditioning was right next to the bed and blew on me the entire two nights we stayed. It was too hot to have it off but when it was on it was unbearable. Also the parking situation isn’t really that great. It was better when the parking lot was self parking and not only valet. Plus the EV chargers in the garage were all broken. Overall I think it was the worst trip there I’ve had.

The hotel sits along the beachfront boardwalk so it's just a few steps to the beach. There is a very good steak and seafood restaurant just next door in addition to the lovely restaurant in the hotel. The food in both was very good. There is also a very nice pool and large lounging area overlooking the beach. Our room with 2 queen beds was a good size and had a balcony with seating overlooking the beach, boardwalk, and the Ventura pier. We could see well down the coast. In addition to the big screen TV, the room came with a refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker. The sound proofing in the room was good enough to let us ignore the sounds from the nearby freeway and the Amtrk Coast Starlight train at night. The hotel staff was always available, very friendly, and very helpful. We had a lovely time there and will likely come back to stay again.
The property is somewhat noisy because of the proximity of the nearby freeway, the Amtrk Coast Starlight train, and the parking structure for general beach access parking. However the sound proofing in the room was good enough to let us ignore the sounds from these areas at night.

Second stay here and both were wonderful. Front desk staff Dylan, Sean and Chris were great. Casual yet classy place and just an overall fabulous place to stay on the beach. Really good breakfast choices as well. Crowne Plaza in Ventura gets a solid 10!
I really was totally satisfied in every way.

Staff was great, good food, and nice beach location.
Mattresses were hard as a rock. Even the chair was hard! Didn't sleep well so probably wouldn't return.

Location.
The Hotel needs upkeeping it needs repainting etc. The carpet on every floor was dirty and stained. The mattress was the worst. It was so old that it felt like it had a hole o crevasses. It was obvious the mattress was old. I requested a different room to get a better bed. However, it was not any better. I was paying at least $425 a day. Overpriced. Will not do it again.
