We were very pleased with the location. The Bow River with its pale turquoise hue swiftly ran along behind the property. The space had every amenity needed for a positive stay: pool table, tv area, gazebo, garden swing overlooking the river, kitchen with food for breakfasts, chairs looking out at the river, and private bathrooms.
I totally understand the need for the Barn door on rollers for the bathroom because the room is small and opening a door would bump into furniture and the bed. However, it’s just not thoroughly private from the other person in the room with big spaces above the door.

The location was great. Nice property.
It was so hot in our room maybe provide larger fans or turn up the air in a heat wave

Just the cutest little place! Had a wonderful stay! Jacuzzi tub was an amazing way to end the day, bed was super comfy.
Wish there was a stove for the upper suites.

The room was beautiful and the bed was comfortable, the shower and tub were amazing, the room was clean (the tv remote volume button didnt work so that was a bit annoying but) the view from the backyard right onto the bow river was peaceful and lovely.
the parking for anyone in a regular size truck was not very good. the drive way is very narrow and the parking pad that should fit 3 vehicles will if you dont drive a truck.. very tight to get into and out of so if youre okay with parking on a very narrow street then sure. Also there was massive house construction going on next door which we were not notified of so the noise both from in our room and outside in the back was quite loud. Had I have known this information I may have chosen another time to stay at this location.

Wonderful location with a very comfortable sitting area on the bank overlooking the river

bed was too soft, could hear others through the walls, people walking around upstairs

The location along the river.
We couldn't open any window's and the walls were thin. You could here everything going on within the home.

Poor. Vacant lot next door. Gardens poor. Sitting areas not maintained.
No return call or text from owner regarding situation on arrival. No customer service. Amenities inaccurate. Certainly not luxury at all. Waste of time and money. Extremely disappointing

Amazing place to stay :) I highly recommend to anyone, especially couples needing a get away together. We stayed in the Royal King room and it did not disappoint. Very comfortable King size bed, shower and steam room combo was excellent. The jacuzzi tub was perfection, comfortably sitting 2 adults. The river views at the back of the property were beautiful day and night, so much fun enjoying all the nuances of this place inside and out. I would 100% go back for another stay.
Nothing I did not like :)

Quiet location. Spacious room. Good location as stop from airport before travelling on to Banff.
Pillows ready for replacing (though bed comfortable)

The room was all I expected and more
Not the owners fault but a family arrived after we got to sleep and kids were yelling and screaming. Banging around. Not once did the parents say we need to be quit because there are other people staying in this facility.
People with young kids need to prepare the kids on behavier before arriving .

The shower head was broken, and sprayed water in several directions. Resulting in low water pressure. The bathroom was down the hallway, not connected to our room and we had to pass 2 other guests bedrooms to get there. There was no AC in our room. The room was very small.

the bath and steam shower were excellent
headboard was thick with dust, tables had dust ..fitted sheet kept coming off, really disrupted sleep …windows open all night and fan and a/c on all night…still too warm
no creamer for coffee
advertised as bed and breakfast but no breakfast offered
excessive signage, rules and instructions plastered everywhere

Mouse droppings! Dirty. Hair found in egg sandwich. Hairy bunch of something!?! in the strawberry dipped chocolates we ordered and paid $25. for. Ordered non alcoholic apple bubbly bottle, got Peach?!? Hot Tub water freezing when arrived after a long flight. Fireplace in Royal room didn’t work, once apparently fixed smelled like “gas!” had to turn it off. Noisy dog nails sounds and screeching chairs dragged on floor from tendants upstairs! Nothing like the picture box breakfast! No fresh orange juice as shown in picture, a tiny juice box instead!?! No coffee nor juice 1st day. Granola bar instead of yogurt cup?!? A tangerine every day! 2 out of 7 were rotten! Cancelled breakfast 24 hrs ahead last day but no refund and no replies!!?! Parking issues. etc…No answer when calling the contact #. very frustrating. Trying to have a nice vacation, This place caused nothing but frustrations. Lower level is the Basement! We would never recommend and definitely wont be back.

Amazing location just by the river with nice facilities.
I really enjoy staying in bed and breakfast accomodations for the hospitality and the spirit around it but I didn't feel very welcomed nor found the communication great with the hosts.

Comfortable bed. Room had a pleasant view of the Bow River.
Communication was not seamless. The owners did not used the booking.com portal to send the keycode and other info and required that we called them to give them our email address. The private bathroom for the room was not attached and down the hall. The recommended wifi network was very weak.

The suite was beautiful and the jaccuzi was a dream.
The breakfast was 30$ for a rewrapped tim Hortons breakfast sandwich and some random pantry items and the customer service was unfriendly, unhelpful, and unresponsive. It really impacted our enjoyment of the experience. Also, it's worth noting that the walls are so thin you can hear everything in the common area from your room.

The location was fantastic with a beautiful view of the river!

Very cute and homey location with a great view of the river. We also loved the welcoming common area that made it feel much more like staying in a comfortable home. We slept well. Check in and out was contactless and smooth. It was nice to have a small in-room fridge.
The sliding door to the bathroom kept falling off the rail and trapping me in the bathroom if I didn't move it veeerrry slowly. If I had been alone it might have been hard to figure out how to get out. Also some drainage issues with the sink and tub.

The Along River B&B is located in Bowness - the outskirt of Calgary, on the bank of the Bow River. We liked the area, and we suppose it must be very scenic in summer. The area is quiet, with lots of services and convenient access to the highways. It is in the city but gives you a sensation that you are out in the nature.
The property is well maintained, clean and comfortable.
We were mostly interested in snowshoeing in the surrounding nature (Turner Valley, Canmore) and it was great!
This place was simply not what we expected or wanted. We came for a romantic getaway but were placed in a shared accommodation with only the tiny bedroom and the bathroom on the opposite side of the floor that was private. All the rest of the basement was shared between three rooms. Granted, we did not see anyone during our stay; but we certainly did not feel relaxed or cosy when we weren't sure that a neighbour will not come and ruin our seclusion. This was not clearly explained on the website.
The shower was broken but upon our complaint, it was repaired immediately. The new range was not working but there was a small portable electric stove, so this was not much of a problem. The parking was very limited and we had to park on the street 2 blocks away. Not the end of the world but not hospitable either.
We never saw the owners. Our e-mail communication with them was American style; they mostly focused on the house rules and everything that was forbidden there. Nothing wrong, but we certainly didn't feel very welcome.
