Everything with this hotel was excellent

This was a great location, in walking distance to all of the monuments and the White House.

It was a staycation and the Washington Plaza Hotel didn’t disappoint.

I love that it is in the heart of Washington DC, close to many tourists spots, but the hotel is able to keep a sense of privacy.

The only thing that I would like to see change is better hotel parking fees especially for the guest.

This was my second stay, 12 years apart. It consistently met my expectations for business & personal

Location was close and accessible for sightseeing. The metro stop was walkable and felt safe during the day. Staff was family friendly and the pool was a great bonus!

The rooms are slightly dated and small. We were out most of the time so it didn’t really matter. We did have to walk back one evening from McPherson Square and it didn’t feel as safe at night.

We did like the hotel despite that experience . Location was a little further from attractions but walkable

Generally very welcoming and clean . A very nice lady from the domestic staff who went above and beyond , door staff were also lovely .

One unpleasant manager from breakfast who returned my payment slip and pressured me to leave a tip . When I explained as we were guests who were eating at the hotel all week , I would tip at the end , he wasn’t happy and generally spoilt my experience. I thought he was very unprofessional which was a shame . We also had tipped individuals who were exceptional, hence I was offended by that attitude .

Kann Hotel weiter empfehlen. Lage ist in der Nähe der Metro und man kann zu Fuß viele Sehenswürdigkeiten erreichen.

Exellent, except for the lack of transparency over the deposit charge.

Large, comfortable room, excellent central location.

There is no reference to any damage deposit anywhere on the property page or during the booking process. And yet, not for the first time using Booking.com, such a deposit was demanded ($250 in this case). This happens with bookings via Booking.com far too often, but it is also a big minus for the property.

Decent value, friendly staff, excellent location, rooms could use a bit of upating

Location is excellent. Staff were generally nice/friendly. Price per night was a decent value compared to other hotels in the area.

The room felt a bit outdated. Newer light fixtures and vanity in the bathroom + more modern/updated curtains in the room is all it would really take to make it feel like more of a 4 star hotel. And maybe a new coat of paint with a different color (any yellows give off road-side motel vibes).

Happy about everything except the early knock at the door

The cleaning personel knocket at the door from 8.20 the day we should leave the hotel. And then two more times. We think it’s not okey to be disturbed this early at a hotel, and why so many times before check out time?

This trip I took with my Fiancé was one of the best trips of our lives, Thank You D.C.!

The balcony was perfect sized for a couple. The location is fantastic with plenty of restaurants and entertainment to behold within walking distance! The WiFi works great as well!

I suppose if you had more than 2 or 3 people with you the balcony would get crammed. Also not having a Microwave was a little bit of a bummer, not able to reheat any leftovers.

Overall a great stay but there were a few issues as mentioned that could be improved

Location, pool area was lovely, smiling and friendly staff, comfortable and a good value

Need to bring back room service, breakfast service in the restaurant left much to be desired with very long wait times (15+ minutes to be greeted by our server and longer for coffee/water) and not great service (no checking back to see how things were, no condiments brought out so after got coffee had to wait for cream/sugar, 30+ minutes for breakfast to arrive and when it did it looked like some of the toast and sausage had fallen off the plate - 3 toast half’s instead of 4 for example - and wasn’t the warmest. Also for some reason our tv didn’t work properly, we couldn’t get the espn channel my daughter wanted to watch. Someone came to try to fix it but couldn’t so left a note for the next days staff to replace the tv … I don’t think they ever did?

Disappointing rooms and overcharging for uncovered, unprotected parking for larger vehicles will keep us from returning

Pool, restaurant and the staff were nice.

The rooms were very old feeling and not as clean as expected. My wife opened the complimentary toiletry packet and it had already been opened and mostly used.
