nothing at all
very bad staff not cooperative didn’t even know to to look for a room which is booked they didn’t knew how to check and wasted my 1 hour checking the room if it’s booked or not
1.5 / 5.0
Only positive is that the staff were quite friendly.
I wasn’t offered breakfast, or told it was available. The whole place and the rooms wreaked of cigarettes, and the bed was far from comfortable. The location also was rather poor. I filled my gas across the street and the staff had to lock the door to keep certain people out.

The room was quite large, and very professionally arranged. It had all amenities I need (other than a mini-oven to heat up food); it even had two glasses, and a mini-refrigerator. The bed was comfortable. The room was quite clean -- other than the bathroom. When I moved into my apartment, the previous tenant never cleaned his bathtub, and I had to clean it after 6 months of him not cleaning it -- well, this hotel's bathtub was even dirtier. It took me more than half a pack of disinfectant wipes before I finally was able to get it satisfactorily clean.
The next day, when I needed to get to a drugstore and get driving directions to my next destination, the daytime receptionist took the time to give me directions.
I got held up at the US border for a full search, so was coming around 1AM instead of the midnight that I booked for. When I arrived, I was asked to bring a photo ID. The check-in person came out and told me I would have to bring a passport instead. So I went to my car and got my passport. Then he told me it had no printed address; I told him no passport would, and that if he needed a printed address I could bring my driver's license. I went to get my driver's license, and found the door locked. I knocked, the check-in person came to the door, and I showed the BC driver's license through the door. He answered that my photo ID was from Canada, but the passport was from US, and on there it said Ukraine; and since it's three different countries, then he's not going even to look at my driver's license now, he's gonna cancel my booking. I told him that Ukraine was listed in the "Place of Birth" country, and that shouldn't have anything to do with it, but he didn't budge. Eventually I got the owner (I think) involved, and around 2AM he finally let me in. The check-in person's excuse to the owner: Well, he didn't present *that* ID to me (referring to the driver's license).
A plus: the owner (or that's who I assumed it was) was willing to help me get in at 2AM. Probably not very pleasant being woken up at that time of the night to deal with a hotel client.

It’s location. Sobeys grocery store next door. Tom Hortons, Dairy Queen and McDonalds a couple minutes walk away, just across the street.
Everything. No elevator so you have to walk up 3 staircases. Key wouldn’t open room door so always had to get someone to help open the door. Curtains dirty, plug for bathroom sink moldy, lamp broken. Everything very aged.

Excellent location. Several food stores nearby. Bus stop across the street. McDonald's and Sobey's next door. Quiet neighbourhood with friendly people.
The room was a little smaller than others I have stayed in but that was no big deal.
