Nothing!
Dirty, old, room has musty smell, carpet dirty, broken furniture, scalding hazard from broken shower control valve, shady characters hanging around entrance. Place needs to be condemned. It supposedly being remodeled. Booking.com did not mention remodeling but was notified by the property staff that property was being remodeled, and there would be no refunds.

The staff was very friendly and helpful (we worked with Tom). The room size and cleanliness were surprising considering the age of the hotel and the fact that it was under construction. The bed and pillows were comfortable. The bathroom was very clean and spacious, as well. AC worked great! The location was ideal for easy access for Ubering into downtown Portsmouth.
Drug addicts (at least 2-4; and we knew they were drug addicts by the track marks on their arms and legs) were outside near the side and back entrances and in the parking areas hanging around. We were not sure if they were living in the parking area near the construction section or what, but they were there in the evening and in the morning (when we arrived around 3 PM, they were not around). They didn't bother any of us but made everyone feel a bit uneasy. The parking area seemed sketchy too. My husband didn't feel comfortable with me going back to the car alone to get anything I may have forgotten to bring in; he went back and forth instead. Another thing that was questionable in the parking area, was whether or not we might have gotten a flat tire from a nail or screw or other debris from the construction going on (we didn't, but the thought was there the second we pulled around to the back of the hotel). Elevator had seen better days and sounded like it might stop between floors permanently every time we go into it.

Location and value
It was under construction so pool and breakfast areas were closed. Looks like will be nice once completed

Beds and showers were good, . So was the microwave. The staff were pleasant.. they did try to accommodate due to the circumstances. Breakfast was fine due to the circumstances.I liked the fact that the hotel was close to downtown, an right near the 95.
Unfortunately there were some malfunctioning lights. The front doors were lock at night so you couldn’t use it until 7:00 A.M.. the side door going into the rooms from the parking lot was left unlocked, so was a safety issue. Shouldn’t there be a card to get in that way.

Motel was under construction and a mess. Should have been unformed of this when booking. No pool. Location OK, but not really close to downtown or the water,

Easy on and off highway

The property outside was a mess with construction materials flying around. The entrance I was told to use was rotten wood framed. At the door to the lobby had a cease & desist sign from the building inspector. It didn’t look opened.

The staff were friendly, helpful, and responsive.
The breakfast was skimpy and not very good. Granted, it was explained that it would be picked up rather than served, but the contents were unappealing and cheap. Also, a large section of the grounds were a mess because of reconstrution of the hotel. An exterior installation involved material that rained particles on the cars parked at the hotel. Lastly, it was impossible to excercise--a makeshift work out room could have been set up.

A convenient location off of the highway. Large, comfortable room and bathroom. We appreciated having our breakfast delivered the night before an early departure.
It wasn’t really a problem, but note that there are major renovations going on.

The never told Me about all construction. There was a foul smell thru out the hotel. The so called breakfast, well unless u like stale cereal, and old pastries...The last day I had no tv as well. The phone didn't work in the room. The shower was not cleaned as well. I got not even the manager to call me or even a some kind of credit. If in a Bind then this will do.. very disappointed.

Checkout time was 11 AM. I had constant knocking at the door at 11:02 AM, and it was a snowstorm I was waiting for a ride. I was left out in the cold. I asked to if i could check out at 11:30. They said no. And a man with no teeth kept knocking on the door. It was really rude and sad during these times. I was scared. I am a young single female. It was not safe.
They said they had "guests coming" a lie. The place was empty. I stayed two nights and kept to myself, quiet and clean.
I deserve an apology.
