The lobby is beautiful and the conference rooms look nice. When you get into the hotel it looks like something from a horror movie…
The property looks abandoned with trash piling up, dirty brick outside needs a pressure wash, the pool area has broken ladders and furniture needing cleaning. The hallways smell like body odor and have stained carpet and fading wallpaper. It’s muggy and warm in the building until you get into the rooms. The rooms are outdated and the air conditioning went out. They claimed it was back on 2 days later but the maintenance man responded and told us the system is so old that the chiller would take a week to get back to cooling at full capacity. During the AC being down and struggling in the 100 degree weather, we were told we would get a full refund. Unfortunately, they didn’t follow through on this. They supposedly gave us a night back but we never received the refund on our Apple Pay card. The room had dirty stained sheets, no microwave, and the furniture holding the fridge had a broken door. The property looks like it hasn’t had the love it truly deserves which is sad. We were looking forward to a historical experience not a dilapidated one.

Our room was clean and comfortable. The staff was very courteous and kind.
It is an older property and renovations needed. Though our room was fine, the hallways were rather dingy and musty and had a slight odor. The breakfast buffet was mediocre.

Has a lot of amenities to be an old hotel. Price wasn't bad.
Needs to be a lot cleaner and sanitized. There's garbage everywhere, even by the poolside. Must be a raccoon or animals because the trash looks chewed up. The lobby bathroom was very dirty, that's the worst when new guests are checking in. Maybe hire more maintenance and people to take care of the building more.

Hotel needs SERIOUS upgrade! Mattresses are old & dirty, carpets were unsanitary sooooo DIRTY with Stains! Makes no sense how the Lobby & Breakfast area modern & clean but the rooms are BAD!!! Bad look for Wyndham!

All staff are wonderful. Very close to everything and Busch Gardens. Would love to see some updates and carpet removed out of rooms- just makes rooms feel cleaner.

I love MaGruder its my favorite place. I love the location, the buildings the historical site. It's my favorite place. Ive been staying there for years.
The place is getting really really delapidated. The walls are peeling, the carpet is getting worse. The showers are moldy and broken. The hot tub was green and smelled bad. She needs some love and attention. Im still going to keep coming there but she's gettin rough.

Location was great. Enjoyed the hot breakfast daily.
Lights missing in the halls periodically so at night it didn’t feel as safe as I would have liked. Wish the staff would have told us at check in that maid service was only every 4th day.

Was what we expected for what we paid.
The guy that checked us in was on the rude side. Had verified previous to arrival we could pay with cash and he kept insisting that we could not because he didn't have a bank. We had cash only which os why I called amd asked months before our stay! He finally allowed cash because we had the exact amount.

Breakfast was good. Location was great.
Bed was not comfortable and the AC barely worked. It was set at 60 and the room never got below 75.

The hotel was a convenient location.
Decent breakfast. Good pool
Property is in dire need of upgrade. Prices are great but rooms are very outdated. Carpets are very dirty. All room furniture needs to be replaced. Beds were comfortable. Bathroom tub was in need of replacing.
Could be a good place if it was updated.
For the price and convenience of location it wasn’t bad.

Staff was pleasant.
The rooms didn’t match the pictures. They are updating the site but our room and hall were very old, had ancient carpeting. Did not match pictures. Bathroom light didn’t work and truck idled in parking lot all night. Staff was pleasant.

Staff was nice, and location was okay.
Hotel was extremely old, the air conditioning didn't work well (our room was so hot), the carpet was disgusting, the hotel smelled, broken tiles outside, water fountain was broken- and had garbage inside and green standing water. Overall awful experience. We checked out a day and a half earlier. We will never go back. We are sorry to give such a bad review, but it was really uncomfortable to be there.

Employees where very friendly and location was great!
Rooms & room furniture looked old, pools are not maintained properly (in the outside pool;the walls of pool where dirty, mood like spots in grout lines.. lots of little trash in the pool too) …breakfast was extremely disappointing , menu did not change even tho we where there for 4 days !

Nothing
Everything room smelled like pee. A/C doesn’t work

I like the location and the staff was friendly. One more thing, at least the sheet were clean when we got there.
Place is dated. There was a hole on the curtain. Toilet was not working but someone fixed it. The room has a funny old smell. I am glad we were there only to sleep. Bathroom is too small that if your are a fat person there is an issue to close the door. Towels are not changed, only if you requested. However, front desk never told us about it. When you travel with family that is a big issue. Evething is old in the room. The continental breakfast should be called the " Cold Breakfast ", the waffle was the only think hot there.

The history that was about it.
Everything the rooms were super small and nothing like that is advertised. The indoor pool was falling apart paint chips everywhere and paint floating in the pool. I made a reservation through booking which it was booking's fault they reserved two rooms and I only needed one I showed up to the hotel spoke to a manager and booking about what happened and they charged me a cancellation fee for a no-show. I stayed one of two nights not only because of the horrible facilities and because they would not work with me because of a era through booking. I will not be returning to that hotel nor will I be using booking anymore. I strongly recommend not staying at this hotel.
