Location to downtown, an easy stroll through the neighborhood. The staff/management. Nice large room. They refunded a night without us even asking due to a family emergency, very thoughtful and understanding.
Busy street out front, but room was quiet.

Cyndy in the office went above and beyond to accommodate us. She is an indispensable love!
Room was exceptionally clean.
Could be a diamond if they fine tuned the look of the place. Decor is a bit flat and outside could use some cleaning up, ie: visible laundry piled up by garden sitting area.
4.1
Nice hotel. Room was somewhat basic, but we had a very comfortable stay here.
Only suggestion we would make would be to maybe invest in some warmer lighting - the lights felt really bright, which felt a little too much in the evening when watching TV.
4.1
Convenient and clean
Reception staff and deposit being taken but not returned

Loved the coffee every morning, easy parking, friendly staff, clean rooms, housekeeping, and location.
Our room faced the road and was very loud although they did provide ear plugs.
4.1
The room was clean, the bed was comfy, and the location was great. It was about a 5 minute drive to the shops.
4.1
Nice, quiet location, close to center. The ambiance was splendid, with the buildings surrounded by luscious vegetation and cosy courtyard. Very clean room and premises.
The room was very small.
4.1
Nice location; room was spacious with an extra small sofa.
The room was freezing when we arrived due to open windows throughout. It took a long time to warm up with the small heater/fan.

Nice rooms, good location. Quiet and comfortable!

Great front-desk service!

Everything was great, cleanliness, comfortable quiet.
The room a little on the small side, and some strange unusable shelving units taking up space.
4.1
The bed was comfortable and the shower water was hot.
The room was nothing like the pictures on the hotels own website. We booked a King Suite which according to the hotels site description had air conditioning and sofa plus other features like a fireplace, mini bar and alarm clock. Our room (it could not be called a suite) had none of those, in fact we were told the whole facility did not have air conditioning. When questioning the staff if we did indeed have the suite booked we were told that yes we did and they could offer nothing else. An email to the management has so far gone unanswered. Rather than a boutique hotel it was more like a motel room.

The room did not have a refrigerator. Since we were traveling for several days we needed one for our food/water. We were told most rooms did have a refrigerator but ours was being remodeled so it did not yet have one. When we asked for a $20 room discount to cover the cost of the cooler and ice, we were told the manager was unavailable.

There was no AC and it was very hot, the blinds didn’t work and we’re very cheap, the layout of the room was confusing and misleading as a king suite. It was not comfortable. The garden was much smaller than made out to be, and all pictures of the inn online were misleading.

We booked the standard room 2 months in advance. When we arrived we saw that the room is facing the main street (about 20 feet away). It was very noisy even during night, even though we closed the windows (we did that although there is no air conditioning, because the noise was too much). We asked to change rooms, but the person at reception told us that all the standard rooms are facing the street (which isn't mentioned anywhere on the hotel site). During checkout we explained the problem once again, and were told that the manager will contact us. We sent the hotel an email that we are waiting for them to contact us, but no one responded. When we called they told us once again that the manager will call us back, but nobody called.
It's important to mention that a hotel that takes 250$ for room per night in a relatively quiet place as Carmel needs to explain that the room you book is very noisy. Furthermore, the location is quite far from the center (which we knew when we booked, but at least we hoped it would be quite).
In addition to that, when we entered the room we found plastic bags on the floor that they hadn't cleaned up.
To cut story short, a very bad hotel.

There is no A/C. Parking is horrible. We couldn't connect to their WiFi for a while. Cheap body soap, shampoo, and conditioner. The carpet looked dirty.

Staff were super helpful and friendly.
Walls were thin between rooms but wasn't a problem because all the guests were quiet and respectful

No privacy between the patios.

The grounds were lovely. The staff was very pleasant. The hotel is convenient - about a mile from downtown Carmel. Very clean.
They advertised mini fridges in the rooms. My room did not have one. When I asked, the gal said that some of the rooms do not have them. (There was an empty space for one). They did offer to keep my left over dinner in their refrigerator. I have a personal grudge against plastic/paper cups when I am paying $300/night for a room.

The location is beautiful lots of flowers, also they have a couple outside hang out areas that are cute. Clean room
Parking is very akward and small. No air conditioner so room was very humid, Shower has 0 water pressure, also TV stopped working like 5 min after we tured it on. We called the front the she just told us to turn it off and wait then turn it on again. Didn't work so we went down to ask as we were heading out. But the front desk person was reluctant to go look and told us if it was still not working when we came back she would try. When we came back that night it was making on and off static noise. We just unplug but kinda sucked.

Aside from hearing footsteps of guests above my room, all guests were quiet and well behaved (not loud or rowdy) and that was important to me as this trip was meant to be a "quiet vacation". I enjoyed having a refrigerator in my room! I enjoyed the cool air, so I was glad to have windows that I could keep open (I came from home where it has been 95+ degrees!). I believe there were several guests with dogs and I appreciated their owners keeping them quiet!
My needs were very simple this trip, so I cannot think of anything to make it better (I only wish I could have stayed longer!).

Warm good heater. Nice room was waiting for us with snacks and water and coffee for am.
Only one choice of wine Fri pm. Red and some can't drink it. Was noisy at night, I will bring a white noise machine when we come back.
Thx!
