The breakfasts on both mornings were outstanding- very tasty and well-prepared and well-presented. The food was great. We enjoyed seeing the wildlife - deer, all kinds of birds and lots of squirrels. And I liked the fact that the movie ‘Arsenic & Old Lace’ was there in our room so we could watch it. That has always been one of my favorite movies - I’m a huge Cary Grant fan. Plus- there was a bookshelf full of other great movies we could watch.
I’m not sure anything could’ve been better. It was a marvelous place to stay.

Bev and Doug are the sweetest people. They are the kind of people you want in your life; kindred spirits. The Inn is beautiful, incredibly clean, and so cozy. We stayed in the Library Room and enjoyed privacy and comfort. Breakfasts were fantastic!! Fresh fruit, granola/breakfast crumble, apple caramel French toast, egg and bacon bakes. So delicious! The Inn is located just off the main roads, so you’re not too close to all the raucous, but not far either. We absolutely loved our stay and will absolutely be back.

We stayed over the July 4th holiday and loved watching the Fireworks, at night from our Tree Top Room. The Staff were pleasant and accommodating. The visiting, morning deer during breakfast were a really nice treat. Breakfast is amazing, very sweet though. If you are looking for something on the savory side there are several spots available downtown. We were on vacation so we indulged and did both!
I was surprised for the price we paid to find mold in the shower. It was slight but there. The linens and drapes seemed a tad dated to me, yet it was still a very charming and extremely private room. I will echo what others have said here about the massage service the A&OL hosts will recommend at Healing Benefits. They were very disorganized, had us wait more than 45 minutes despite the fact I had confirmed twice, We ended up leaving and went to the gorgeous Spa at the Crescent Hotel, which was much cleaner, professional, and the ambiance was magical. If interested in a massage or like services while there, I would recommend setting the appointment prior to your visit as most places were already booked. We paid extra for a Champagne and flutes. The flutes were sweet and sitting on our fireplace mantle of our room. But the Champagne was stored in a mini frig downstairs in a common area. So the presentation was very lack-luster. Parking was also somewhat awkward.

We stayed in the treehouse suite… surrounded by windows looking on the trees. The bed was super comfy. The shower was huge with multi jets. We had a relaxing, pleasant stay.
So many stairs!

The location was excellent. Deer came to eat and the squirrels were a lot of fun to watch.
There were a lot of stairs but it was built on a hill.
4.8
Breakfast was excellent. Easily exceeded our expectations. We stayed two days and had totally different meals each day.
More lighting at steps outside.

The inn was picturesque setting and the cozy room. Doug and Bev were friendly, kind and volunteered info regarding restaurants etc. Breakfasts were delicious...Loved our stay
The only complaint would be that we could hear the foot steps from the guests in the room above us. I think it's probably the wooden floors and don't know what could be done about it.
