Just overall feel of the place and the cleanliness
There was a cat that stayed on the property but it was no problem I just have allergies to cats

really cool, historic building in a great location; walking distance to everything
Breakfast could have been better

Clean. Staff are courteous, welcoming and accommodating. Breakfast is great. Walking distance to downtown.

Spacious room, very clean. The hotel is in an historic mill, and that's interesting.
The hotel has a boiler heating and cooling system. When we arrived, the room temperature was 65 degrees. The only way to warm it a bit was to turn off the fan. Eventually, the room temperature rose to around 69 or 70 degrees, but it was still uncomfortably chilly.
Breakfast decent but not up to what one might expect for a $250 room.
4.5
The historic facilities provide spacious rooms, a full breakfast, complementary wine/cheese and an outdoor garden seating area. It is steps from a good restaurant and a quick drive to the Atrium Wake Forest Medical Center.

The staff were amazing. The location is brilliant. Large rooms and good breakfasts
It could do with a little updating/maintenance here and there

Quaint inn with great proximity to wonder around Winston-Salem. The courtyard was beautiful and had we stayed longer would have spent time there. Love the history of the inn.

no complaints

Breakfast was excellent. Freshly made biscuits, fruit, eggs. The room was huge, the beds were comfortable, staff was very accommodating and friends. We loved the extras - free wine and cheese and cookies. As it’s in the center of town, we culd walk to restaurants.
I can’t think of anything to improve upon. It was a great stay.

it was not cookie cutter. the room was very large. good parking. convenient location. nice breakfast and very polite staff.
bathroom was outdated but not a big deal.

Charming historic property. Nice staff.
A bit dated. Loud group next door but staff responded quickly.

everything! charming, rich and fascinating history. loved the wine and cheese reception in the cozy, cool lounge, and the milk and cookies for my son in a separate room. everything is well appointed and top attention to details. coziest beds ever! excellent recommendation for delicious Italian food at De Lisio’s. the ONLY negative is the same one all across this state—you’re all way behind the times: ditch the styrofoam and plastic carry out stuff! and no need to wrap your apples in plastic. who wants their apples handled that much? and it’s just plain backward to still be using plastic and styrofoam, plus it’s not classy.
just the styrofoam and plastic use.

loves the hotel in general! my boyfriend and I were just doing a weekend staycation randomly around new years chose to make reservations for here at very last minute upon arrival found out they are a Wyndham hotel so I used my rewards then you are offered complementary wine and cheese then later milk and cookies. the suite was excellent but having a whole living room bedroom and bathroom you’d think they would install more of a kitchenette section but it was beautiful so we will be returning!
very high ceilings 🥰
no enough kitchenette and the suite was very warm due to no fans available

beautiful hotel. The staff was friendly. wine and cheese at 5 pm, cookies and milk at 7 pm. wonderful breakfast in the morning.
everything was wonderful!
4.0
quant and you could feel the history when you walked in
the entrance doors were separate from the exit doors on the rear of the building so you couldn’t walk in the side. also a constant alarm coming from the room across and a dog barking woke us up on occasion.

Amazing!

very clean and quiet
smelled like mildew and the bed wasn’t comfortable
5.0
Staff was wonderful. Location is excellent, with short walk to downtown, and a very short walk to Old Salem. Facility is very clean. The evening wine and cheese, as well as the night-time cookies, are welcome hospitality services.
Rooms could use some updating. Some furniture and carpeting are worn. The old windows, outside the newer panes, show a lot of peeling paint. Again, updating is recommended, otherwise it was a very nice stay.
