Lovely spacious room, walking distance to pier

What a beautiful spot! It was lovely to see the ocean from our room and wake up to the beach volley ball tournament on the sand. The room was lovely and beds very comfy. The best part was Ellen at the front desk who made us feel so welcome and celebrated my daughter whose birthday weekend we were there for. She also extended us many little kind gestures and she made our stay just perfect. Thank you, Ellen!
Nothing. Everything was great.

The view
Staff should be a little more friendly and informative. We just got the room number and I had to ask where the room was. I was not informed of the things in the hotel we could use, as curtesy🫤

Great location.
Condition and setup of the room. The room needs fresh paint , holes in walls and damaged door frames need repaired. Doors are dirty around handles and edges from people’s hands. One of the bedrooms had no window to open for fresh air. Heat source available in only one room (we stayed in a two bedroom family suite). Front desk staff are mostly rude.

Location was perfect! Close walking distance to the warf and Boardwalk food entertainment. I loved the views from our room.
There isn't anything we didn't like. Only suggestion is to maybe have the front desk carry bottles waters and sodas for sale? Other than that, everything was perfect!!

Great location near the pier in Santa Cruz. Stepped layout allows for multiples levels of the building to have good views of the ocean.
First room I had smelled really strongly of bleach. The team was great about finding me a new room. Breakfast “pastries and fruit” are biscotti and bananas/tangerines; don’t get excited.

I like it was close to the beach and boardwalk , we didn’t have to walk far
but I paid a lot for an ocean view and I got a construction site instead so very bad experience and the room was not clean

The location is great. The room was nice, large frig, balcony with “partial” ocean view but it was a good view of the ocean. We ate our lunch on their outside deck overlooking the volleyball courts with views of the ocean.
Went to check in and there was a “closed until 3:30” sign 😩. We drove a long distance and needed to use the restroom but you needed a code and there wasn’t anyone there to give it to us.🥴 When they “opened up” there were 6 guests in front of me waiting to check in so it took a long time. Limited Parking spaces in the main hotel area and I had to sign that I acknowledged that cars get broken into😵💫
Major construction project across the street with a lot of noise.
The room description that I booked said “ocean view” but we were given a “partial ocean view”, it was still good though.😎

I loved the staff who are super helpful (only got to talk to the emergency staff after hours) and the modern room! Modern, classy room and lovely bed. The balcony was great to have and they have super nice showers too! I basked in the water for quite some time and relaxed so well 🥰
The lack of in person 24hr staffing in the office. What if the keys left in the Dropbox don’t work or the Dropbox is not functioning when I arrive after staffed hours? Having to bother someone with a phone call and make them come help late at night would really suck to do and it can be scary sometimes to just sit in a parking lot at night waiting if you’re a woman traveling alone. To be clear, my stay was perfect, the Dropbox and keys worked, and the staff on the after hours line was so helpful when I was confused about checkout before the office opens in the morning!

the view
cleanliness, flooring bubbled, smelt stale, furniture in bad shape bed frame wasn’t even mounted on bed. vanity in bathroom in poor condition.Towels had stains on them and shampoo and conditioner weren’t new. coffee mugs were also dirty. Charging ports didn’t work. Dogs were barking in another room all night. No staff on site from 9pm on.

Great location. Easy walk to boardwalk and beach. Beautiful views and accepting to dogs.
Loud! Could hear every conversation of our neighbors above and to the sides. Plus, they're inappropriate "shenanigans". Had to drown out the noises with the ac unit, so my children wouldn't be scarred .Got No Sleep here. NOT handicap accessible especially the bathroom. Husband's wheelchair couldnt fit into the bathroom. On a very steep hill, so there's no way back up to the hotel in a wheelchair without help from a car ride. Sink was falling apart, along with shower wouldn't drain. Room smelt a bit musky as well. Like wet wood.

so close to the beach! beds were comfy.
wish the patio would have been power washed.

The room and view was spectacular
Our car was broken into and robbed of our belongings in the “secure parking lot”
There was zero help from office or staff in helping us and the police were just as useless. We are missing alot of equipment and not even an apology was given. Yes the view was nice, but having to pay thousands of dollars to replace belongings after being told the area is “very safe” was a massive let down.

Location is excellent, steps from the beach and the wharf. the staff was very helpful and accommodated our request to see a number of rooms before we selected the one we stayed in. On-site self parking was plentiful, easy and free. The shared deck with fire pit overlooking the beach was a nice treat.
We ended up in a bigger room but the one we were originally assigned to, as well as a few we looked at before we decided, we’re very small, with windows to the parking lot. The price we paid ($250/night after taxes) was very high given the season and the fact the hotel seems to be mostly vacant.

The location was great, we were close to the dog run
Our room wasn't the nicest, no blankets, had a keurig, no cups or coffee, a big hole in the wall , didn't feel like it was clean
