Best hotel in Ashland

We were there for our Dad's funeral and they went over the top for us. They made sure we had all our rooms together. Gary was just wonderful with everything we needed. We are coming back next weekend and it will definitely we our hotel we will always choose when we come to Ashland.

Room was nice. Breakfast was great and staff member in breakfast area are super hard working.

Pool area smelled so heavy of chlorine. People were coming out of area with coughing fits and asthma. Pool door was unlocked and wrist bands not being used to it was super crowded with people who weren’t guests.

We booked this hotel for our kids. Splash land is always a great thing to help keep kids preoccupied on trips in between plans.

I first didn’t care for the young girl at the counter when we arrived. She acted like us checking in was an inconvenience to her. She didn’t tell us what the cost being billed to my card. We found out later about the deposit fees. In the end, this is always expected, it just wasn’t disclosed. Our room was gross. From the moment we opened the door, it stunk of old beer. It’s as if the people before us had a party, and spilled beer all over the carpets. The beds when we got in, had sand which was also odd. We asked the girl at the front about changing rooms, she said the hotel was fully booked ….but it wasn’t. There was no way it was, as we checked online and we’re still able to book multiple rooms. Overall, disappointing. We will not be staying here again, despite the attraction of the pool for our kids.

Booked to stay here so my family could enjoy splashland and it wasnt even open. It should be clearly stated on their website it is only open on Friday and Saturdays.

I would recommend this place to anyone visiting Ashland area.

The view of the lake was especially nice. Amenities were decent, our room was clean. It was, all and all, a very pleasant stay.

We were pretty happy with all of it.

Was ignored by two desk workers when I first approache desk to check in. They both continued their frustrated conversat

It had a pool and a pool and location was good

mirror in room had drawings smudged all over it so you knew it had not been cleaned-like a kid had drew on it. Bath tub was dirty

Expensive -

Located on Lake Superior - Private Beach in the Cheq. Bay of Lake Superior - The Apostle Islands. The property is always clean and comfortable. Allows my 2 large service dogs. Located near the home of my children.

The property is always beautiful- I enjoy staying here however I cannot afford to stay in the summer of regular room rate of $260.00 per night. I stay to visit my children - Ashland Wisconsin is very desolate and housing impossible- disappointing the summer rates.

The view of the lake from the back patio (not from our room) was beautiful. We overlooked the parking lot but the price per night seemed to reflect the lakeside.

$600 dollars for two nights was way too high for such a standard room. Stairwell carpet was stained.

The stay was ok had very nice view from the back deck. The pool area smelled of chlorine.

Had a lot of different foods to choose from. The food was all good and easy to make. There is nothing I would change about the breakfast there.

The room smelled really bad of cigarette smoke. The sheets had a hole in them. Just very dingy and not very inviting.

Make sure you get the room you paid for.

Breakfast was OK, as far as grab-and-go serving goes. Location is nice, with some rooms having lakeside views. Being at the far end of the city makes fast food options challenging, but Walmart is only 1/4 mile away, if you need anything. Staff personnel were friendly.

When we arrived, we were put in a 2 x queen room without sleeper, although that’s what I paid for. After speaking with the desk clerk the following day, we were moved to the correct room. The second room had a blanket shoved in a dresser drawer that must’ve been used by a previous occupant. Had to go back down to the front desk for a blanket. Water slides in the pool area are only open from 4:00-9:00, although the pool is open from :700 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Lifeguard is only there while slides are turned on.

For the price I expected way more

We booked for the water slide . Not able to use only avail Tues 4to 9 during our stay. Also no breakfast avail on Tues morn. Grab and go...none of this was indicated when we booked.

A little rundown and out of the way but the amenities made up for it.

The hotel had a great little beach with lots of benches outside and wonderful views. The lawn games were an unexpected and delightful find. The pool area and hot tub were also great. The fitness center was well-equipped and I loved having a private little back patio that opened out onto the lake.

Housekeeping only comes every 3 days. We stayed 5 days and they never came to our room. The hotel is still serving grab bags for breakfast citing COVID, even though restaurants are back to full service. No other hotel services appear impacted so….?? It would be great to start the day with a how meal.

The rooms were kinda dirty and the pool area was closed the morning after our stay so we couldn't use the waterpark, which was solely the reason we went

Nice waterpark, easy breakfast, room needs a deep clean.

Grab and go breakfast was convenient. We liked the sauna and the jacuzzi.

The bathroom in our room definitely had some sort of strange mold in the ceiling tiles and ventilation.
