Nothing. We had to leave it was so gross.
The sheets were filthy with dirt, a ton of hair, stains, etc. We ended up leaving.

Could use a facelift but it was ok
Had a run down appearance

Nice, clean, large comfortable room.
Was disappointed with the fridge. Was unplugged and hot when we arrived.
Plugged it in and it ran, but never got cool. Had to reload everything in our cooler but didn’t have any ice

The manager was particularly helpful in organising a transfer to my next destination.
Breakfast would have been appreciated.

What a service! The woman that checked us in was so lovely and helpful, she gave us a lot of tips about Holbrook and also helped us with useful information about our trip.
The room felt complete, it had everything - including a kitchen. It was almost like a small apartment.
We loved everything about this place, it was very cozy and welcoming. The location was close to great restaurants and shops.

Jody was super nice, the motel was on Rte. 66, they've made each room a "them" (I was in the western room.
There was nothing I didn't like but it's important to note it is an old motel, hasn't been refurbished to "the nines" like The Blue Swallow in Tucumcari NM, and it is next to RR tracks and the trains run regularly. It's old school but nice and I felt safe.

The theme and remodel looked ok. Very DIY but expected.
Bed too hard, floors not sweept/mopped, shower water pooled and didn't drain well, NO hot water at all!, no one to check you in (instructed to look under mats and under patio furniture to find key ... when I went to try to open the door it wasn't locked in the first place). Couldn't open window for sunlight as people were cooking breakfast outside of window on a grill (when I did open they kept looking into room when they passed). Bathroom window had no locks, no available parking, filters were dirty and ac looked as if it was involved in a fire before (had smoke marks and melted) , and lastly there was no smoke detector in the room at all.... if course this didn't make us feel safe at all.

very loud, extrem cold

There was no one at the front desk.
The lights were off at the motel, on a dark street.
There were two other cars at the property, which kept moving.
2.5
Beds were comfortable.
First room had dead bugs in the bed so we had to change to a “clean “ room. No exit after you parked in their lot, so had to maneuver to leave. No sign light so at night we would miss the drive. No desk person checking in or out and most of the time in between. Had to call a cell phone.

Clean and kitschy rooms and the staff are always very friendly.
it’s close to the railroad tracks.

nothing - really disgusting (dead bugs - floor sticky et dirty - hairs in the bathroom ..)
beds not comfortable - no staff - lighting always on outside - noisy

The location is practical, the hotel has an old-fashioned charm. The mattresses were comfortable.
The light in the room. There are a number of comments about this, maybe changing to light-blocking curtains would be an accessible investment?
The flush was broken and the bathroom was not perfectly clean. It's a decent stop on the way to some other place.

Quaint unassuming motel.
Parking lot can be tight if many cars.

Comfortabe clean
The train but wasnt that bad
2.0
It was cheap and the bed was comfortable.
I chose the hotel based on the cute pictures.?The rooms were advertised as themed and rather darling. That is not what we got. The room seemed to have given to us in the middle of a renovation. It was so disappointing. We didn’t hear the busy road in front of the hotel, rather we had a train running by at times rather frequently and of course blowing it’s horn. Although the bed was comfortable it was hard to have a restful night.

Location was good. Hotel is historic and right on Route 66. Good Restaurants nearby.
Shower knob came off in my hand, thank god I had a screwdriver in my car to fix it. Place was a little run down generally and loud due to the train tracks right next to it and thin walls.

This hotel is old and very quaint. It is not luxurious but has everything you need. Locally run and very quaint. The train goes y at leat twice an hour and constantly blows its horn. This did not bother me. It added to to adventure.
There was nothing I didn't like. The hotel was booked and there wasn't any noise from the others who were staying at the hotel. This is not a place to stay if you are looking for fancy towels or bed linens.

The coffee was good.
The place was filthy, no ice, no hot water at all. I always read the reviews and this one was way off on every level. Probably the worst place I have ever stayed in.
4.5
Very clean. Front desk staff was fabulous.

Breakfast has not been offered to guests in years according to desk clerk. They still advertised it online.
Not clean, rooms were not as advertised. Did not feel safe.

the retro feel of the inn was great. the room was clean and spacious. the staff were courteous and friendly. the location in the town, walking distance to restaurants, grocery store and other services was great.
the only issue was the number of trains that passed during the night, that could be quite loud at times.
3.5
Route 66 experience. Older facility that met out goal. Treated us we'll.
Facility was dated and not kept up well.

Good, convenient location within walking distance to good restaurants. The property manager was most excellent. Made my party of 4 feel like family.
4.5
A very quirky little hotel, with lots of old school character. The staff were extremely nice and went out of their way to be helpful. We had completely forgotten the extra towels, and they brought them to our room without us even asking. Location is a good stop-over point. Easy parking right in front of your door. Considering the price, it was an absolute steal.
The AC was a bit on the loud side, and there are train tracks in the immediate area, which can also be a little bit annoying at times. Also, for a family room with 4 people, only having 2 chairs for the table made for some minor logistical difficulties. But these are very minor issues, given the character of the hotel and the price.
