Perfect

I booked this as a little getaway for my wife. She has been going through cancer treatment, and she deserved a relaxing day/ night away from me and our toddler. She loved her stay and had the best sleep in nearly over a year. Thank you.

Hotel as good as always but no access to food did not impress me.

Castle view is always nice having stayed in this hotel many times previously.

Lack of food options , in the restaurant they had a private function , thus the restaurant was closed but in addition no food was available in the bar , this is not good i didn't particularly want to go out but had to as the hotel could not provide a meal. Functions should not alter the guest offerings especially when no access to the restaurant is possible !!

Had the wow factor, stunning building.. Lovely concierge, happy to help & park my car.. Friendly staff.. Excellent value for money..

Vermont Hotel standards slipping

Location

Not able to park out the front like we have done previously. No free bottled water like previously. Towels not as good quality as on previous stays. Pillows uncomfortable. One measly packet of biscuits for two people. Dusty and windows were filthy. Meagre amount of toilet roll.

Enjoyed meeting friends for a catch up..but the room was so awful wish I d got the metro home !

The room was terrible..dark dingy..and so noisy. There was a ? Generator.underneath the window..loud noise all night. The bathroom was dangerous..no handles a d the bath too high to climb into..shower was archaic !

A awful stay and still waiting for the manager to get back to me since the 1st June and when I call I get the phone put

A bouncing night club below and location

absolutely appalled at not just the customer service but more importantly the fire regulations which put me and my family at great danger. We stayed over last night in apartment 302. I had originally booked this as part of daughters 21st birthday present. Main reason of my complaint and there is a few, is the fact that a fire alarm went off during the night and we had to exit through fire escape stairs which was littered in empty glass bottles. This is massive health and safety risk to your customers, as I’m a fire warden myself plus it’s breaking the law as fire exits should be clear. If that wasn’t enough, no staff member came out to even do a head count and I had to take myself and my family into a nightclub in our bed wear and slippers! And that’s another complaint, we were not made aware we would not get much sleep due to the bouncing nightclub below us. Also, No towels were provided in our rooms and even when we tried to call reception the phones weren't even connected so I had to use my own mobile and then rudely they put the phone down on me! We all had to leave feeling like we had camped out in a tent for the night with no shower or even a wash. I'm disgusted in this kind of customer service especially paying what I have paid to stay over

Room was lovely staff excellent great location and fab breakfast -

only shame was we booked hotel to use rooftop terrace as my mam was from Newcastle when young and wanted to have viewout across city but there was a private party and had booked a slot but they rang to say couldn’t use it - apart from that enjoyed stay

Central and has all you need

The location was perfect as it is so central and there are fantastic public transport options available. The room was clean and quiet. The breakfast was plentiful and very tasty The staff were very accommodating and helpful, especially Erik on reception.

Great stay, lovely clean room and sufficient amenities. Staff were fantastic could not do enough, breakfast was delicious. Great choice on the menu for cooked breakfast excellent choice for the continental. Overall a wonderful stay.

Wonderful hotel and lovely staff.

Had a wonderful stay at The Vermont Hotel for our anniversary. The hotel was lovely, staff were friendly and attentive, and the location was perfect. It's very quiet, but restaurants and bars are nearby and it's a 10 minute walk to the centre of town. Our room was spacious and had a view of the castle. Breakfast was good, having the option of a buffet or ordering off the menu, and we managed to get free parking at the hotel. Great value for money for the luxury and service received. The rooftop bar was stunning.

Everything was great. We had no issues at all, so much so we extended our stay by an extra day.

Can't fault the room or facilities,clean,good size, comfortable

Can fault the positioning of room.Put us on 11th floor,right below the rooftop bar that pounded out music till 1am and you can hear every word.Why this floor is been used for guests when you have this racket going on is beyond me and you can't tell me management don't know how loud it is.I dread to thing what it would be like for kids on that floor For this reason my hotel experience score is only two and because of this I'll not be returning to the hotel.

Great views, ideal location for the quayside and restaurant/bars quaint hotel , clean and tidy.

Dated in style and layout, door card was inactive twice which was annoying, doors are loud when closed.

Perfect location and beautiful room

Car valet on arrival. Room was beautiful and clean with a stocked mini bar.

Staff where very cold and a little unwelcoming. When we arrived, the receptionist seemed to be having a dispute with another customer and I feel that negatively carried through when it came to our time to check in.

The cooked breakfast was only slightly warm It could have been kept hot while being kept under cover. It is kept warm with little candle like warmers

Lovely room, and the lift was right there just inside the door, i hate dragging cases along lobbies n landings! we swerved the £15 brekky and walked down the 100 steps, across the forecourt, to the quayside, lots of breakfast options along the quayside if its nice weather but avoid 'Spoons' yuk.. The car park attendant was a proper chap, offering to drive our modest saloon to a nearby car park, i felt like a Hollywood Movie star, alas, we got it parked right outside the door!

we only stayed for the night, couldn't fault it...

Was not told prior to our stay that a wedding was on with loud music playing until 1am. Asked reception when the music would stop and was offered some ear plugs!
