For us, this was an unusually congenial and welcoming hotel. It has a slightly rustic, but classic, charm and there was nothing impersonal about it, yet everything was well appointed. Both the building and the setting were appealing and memorable. San Sebastian is less than 30 minutes away either by car or public transport, and it is an excellent option for a quiet setting away from the bustle.
For what it is, nothing.

The room was very clean and comfortable and spacious, the en suite bathroom was likewise. The bed was very large and comfortable. The staff were couteous and friendly. We only had one night as we were en rote to Santiago de Compostela so did not take any meals there. The location is on the edge of an industrial estate but the hotel was excellent for our stay.

Breakfast although simple was good / free parking
Really bad sewer smell in the bathroom / room is a bit small / you had to go down a few steps to get to the bathroom, but the roof was very low so especially at night it was easy to bump your head against the concrete roof / the bed was too short and it was not comfortable at all, woke up with back pain because of the mattress / the rooms are very noisy, you can literally hear everything from the room next door, the hallway, and also the traffic outside (the hotel is next to a busy road) / the chair at the desk was not comfortable to work on (very hard)

Beautiful building, Beautiful room. Huge bathroom. Staff were kind and allowed us to use the service lift with our elderly family member. Very close to Usurbil train station to get into San Sebastian and ample free parking. Breakfast was plentiful too.
Nothing. It was all good. Only small thing was they didn't reply to messages through booking.com

Lovely building and a very large room - matched by the size of its bathroom. Very clean and the staff were helpful. Good location only a couple of hundred metres from a train station where you can catch a train for the 10 minute trip to Amara station in the heart of San Sebastian . Public parking is available adjacent to the hotel and there is a cafe attached to the hotel..
The hotel is located between an industrial estate and quite a busy road so be prepared for some traffic noise.

Location was perfect, you take a few turns and you're back on your way.
The shower needs to be fixed. Due to a broken holder for the showerhead we needes to hold the head whilst showering. Also the shower feels really small.

Nice staff, comfy beds. Cool history of building.
lame breakfast, restaurant hours.

Great location for staying outside of San Sebastián with free car parking. The train station was very close, with trains only taking 15 minutes to San Sebastián. Staff were very friendly.
Unfortunately the TV didn’t work, although we weren’t there long enough for it to bother us. Shower over bath was annoying as cord was in the way of showering.

We liked everything except the parking in the road/industrial area and the road noise. The cafe/bar next door is open late and very good value.

WiFi worked well.
Could walk dog closeby.
Bed was comfortable.
Noise. This hotel was incredibly noisy. Paper thin walls. You could hear people talking, using the loo, snoring, coughing. Would have slept in the car if it hadn't been raining.
Restaurant and food. Scruffy, dirty restaurant.
Food was awful. Worst food we've ever had in Spain. No wonder only 2 tables occupied.
Room photos are not what we got. Tiny window in room. Very dark room.
Will not be returning.

Small, quiet and great for a night stop over.
Not much, it was a bit basic but enough.

Good location next to n634 that links to the transport network, also besides the very good cafe attached to the hotel, walking distance to the many friendly bars in Usurbil.
Whilst the reception lady was very helpful and friendly, as was the cafe lady with short white hair, there was on 2 occasions another lady in the cafe who was the opposite. On one evening she turned teh lights out 15 minutes before closing time to say we had to close, and on 2 othetr occasions was more interested in talking to friends that serving customers. A pity becaise otherwise the other staff were great, so fortuntaely we only had to see her a couple of times.

As it was a 1star we were a bit dubious however the hotel was really lovely and it was also clean. the breakfast was very enjoyable, it might be a little basic but we found it sufficient and nice. it’s very dog friendly. it had a nice outdoor space a good bar and a restaurant. the local town is brilliant and only a few moments walk. don’t be put off by the industrial estate as it was quiet and not scruffy. it has a lovely river very close.
nothing really although you can hear people walking down the corridor and in the rooms adjacent and above but all in all it’s great.

The room was spacious. There was plenty of street parking. Simple check in and out process. I only spent a night as I was passing through for which the stay was ideal.
