Loved the atmosphere and the location

The bed were comfortable and clean
The property was very grubby. It’s entrance was dark and the carpet up the staircase was dirty.
I hadn’t read anywhere that property was up a steep staircase.
The kitchen wasnt clean and there were dirty washing up cloths and scorers were well worn.
There was nowhere to hang towels in the washroom.

Nice clean large 2 bed apartment

Very nice village & a decent restaurant nearby.
Lack of toiletries.Duvets too thin.Stairs quite steep, which could be a problem for some.

Great pub, full of locals. The room was a twin with large separate shower room - laid out like a flat rather than an ensuite room, with key to room and side door for easy access out of hours and to leave in the morning. Bed was comfy and all linenes and towels clean. wonderful value for money, will stay here again.
No option for cooked food or breakfast except the pub down the road, but to be fair it wasn't expected at the time of booking so I got what I asked for.

I had to leave

The village
Not clear that there was no food, not even a basic do it yourself breakfast. Cheap beds, noisy 'springs', postage stamp sized duvets. Unacceptable noisy racket from the downstairs bars. Ice cold bathroom, radiator inadequate for the job. Had to leave for a family emergency, that ironically, turned out to be a blessing in disguise.
4.5
Host friendly, pub itself a proper local old school pub, location peaceful, classic English village, clean, comfortable bed, quiet, very affordable.
No paying for mints on pillows etc.
Nice selection of teas and coffees provided including lactose free milk!!
Nothing more than little things really; window latching and hinges need attention, just a little more attention to detail on bathroom cleaning, toilet seat a little loose.
Might want to replace main room and bathroom lights; slightly unfortunate shape could offend people of a certain religious persuasion......
Other than that, if you just want clean, simple, peace and quiet from a friendly host and good value, then look no further.

Staff was really, good. Room was clean and tidy. Beds were comfortable. Washroom was very spacious and clean.
Transport and shops are very far from the room. No taxi or transport. Really struggled with that.

Easy to find with parking at no extra cost. Good beer friendly. Clean and tidy no frills accommodation.

Great room, clean, quiet & very comfortable. Great location for us for a nearby wedding.
Radiators didn't come on, but the electric heater in the room was good. Left bed was quite squeaky

Good value for money, very quiet.
No mirror in the bedroom, a hairdryer was provided but not much use without access to a mirror.
The beds weren’t particularly comfortable.

Set in a lovely village - Dean the barman was lovely & locals were friendly & welcoming.
Nothing to dislike at all we loved it - just a small suggestion a long mirror in bedroom & bin not a criticism though almost everything you need is here.

It was really nice rooms, kitchen.
I think it was little noisy because of people drinking late night.
4.5
Excellent base with superb accommodation - large and well presented. Very clean but suffers from being an old building. Kitchen was very good.
It's above a working/drinking pub and so the noise on a hot summers day until people leave is quite loud because the windows will be open. However, after closing time it's country village quiet. So long as you can go with the rhythm of the pub its a perfect place - just go downstairs for a drink!
4.0
Very flexible layout for a family with 4 young children. Friendly and helpful owner.
The noise from the bar below was a bit of a nuisance as it went on longer than expected, but discovered it was a festival weekend, so understandable.

A fine English pub in a delightful location, with a very accommodating staff. Nice and clean, with a kettle, tea and biscuits.
If you are light sensitive this isn't the place for you -- there is only a blind, and in the morning in summer plenty of light comes in by 5.30 am. I'd also have appreciated a bar of soap, as opposed to hand wash and shower gel. (Note it is a pub -- things get quiet after closing time.)

see in a beautiful area. late check out.
curtains, let too much light in, in the morning. 5am was a little early but glad of late check out.

It is a lovely old coaching Inn with authentic beams. It was clean with comfortable beds.
The fridge was disgusting with an appalling smell.Should be left open when not in use. Cream carpets are not a good idea. It needs some smartening up and DIY in places.
4.5
Room was very good with lots of space and comfortable beds. Bathroom was very big and clean with a nice hot shower.
The pub itself was a traditional looking country pub with some nice ales. Noise from pub does not appear to permeate upstairs.
A breakfast would be a good addition to the whole experience and just finish off a good stay. More than 2 milk portions with the tea/coffee facilities.
4.5
The location was very good for going to Cheltenham
The beds where to hard and the wardrobe was very dusty but this could have been to room improvements.
