Relativ wenig

Everything ! Loved the friendly staff , the welcome , the rooms were fabulous with floor to ceiling doors/ windows ! The self serve breakfast had to best touch of home-away-from-home . Totally relaxed and easy environment. Loved our stay from beginning to end !

Excellent location. Wonderful friendly staff. Beautiful rooms. Delicious breakfast that you compile yourself on trays left by your room name in the kitchen. A lovely old building.
We were in the town during a festival, which we didn't know until we got there. Very lively and a wonderful surprise.

I loved this property and all the facilities. It’s a beautiful building, airy and bright. It’s in the main square with good facilities nearby. The rooms are lovely. Wine is provided in the room with an honesty box. Breakfast was amazing. Everything has been thought of to make you feel welcome.

It just exceeded my expectations in every way. A perfect introduction to Viana: so convenient, so comfortable, so spacious, and very well priced. Plus, the team were always in hand to answer questions by whatsapp and make recommendations, etc.
Everything!

Located right in a quaint square, great facilities. we arrived late afternoon, had a drink in the living room overlooking the square (they had an honesty bar 7euros for a bottle of wine!) and had a chat to other guests. one of our favourite hotels in this month long journey around Portugal and spain and great value for money.

The rooms were beautiful and spacious, gorgeously decorated, and comfortable. The kitchen and common areas were wonderful as well - and you're steps from everything.
I wish we could have stayed longer! I moved one of the bigger fans into our room for sleeping, since it was a little warm.

We had an excellent stay at Dona Guest House! The hosts had done everything (even to the little details) for visitors to feel good and like at home. Not just home but a well designed, clean, spacious and cozy home! The Dona Guest House is well located in the city to take a stroll around in old town.
We felt like princesses on our camino. Absolutely wonderful experience!
We highly recommend this place and would like to visit again!
We only didn't like that we couldn't stay longer cause we had to hit the road.

Great location. The shared space to eat and sitting areas were cozy and nice.
Our bathroom was private but external and across the common space.

The guest house is in the historic Praça da República in the heart of Viana do Castelo. Breakfast was phenomenal. There isn't a buffet. Each room has a refrigerator shelf and a drawer full of food including fresh breads, granola, fresh fruit, yogurt, cheese, milk, juice, and more. What really sets the guesthouse apart are the owners, Sofia and Rami. We had an opportunity to speak with both of them several times during our stay. They care about the property and their guest's experience.
There isn't anything to complain about. The property is a historic building and has the quirks you can expect.

Character, style, lots of space, communal facilities
Have to walk through a shared area to the private bathroom

Location is absolutely brilliant. In the middle of the historic center of Viana do Castelo. The concept of providing breakfast per room is nice but for guests staying more than 1 night, it would be good to have a bit of variation. We had booked a suite with a private bathroom. The bathroom was small but all one would need was available. However, the light was not enough to, for example, shave properly.
Nothing really worth mentioning. It is a guesthouse situated in a very nice house and beautiful square.

In the old town facing the Praça do Republica. Next to restaurants and shops. Wifi works well. Spacious room. Sofia, the owner is friendly and helpful.
The heater was never able to warm up our room. Toilet extremely small. There is no elevator so we had to climb steep stairs with our luggage all the way to the second floor. The stairs issue is not mentioned in Booking.com. The free parking lot is at a 8-10 min walk from the guesthouse and not 2-3 min as they say. We have stayed in several guesthouses in Portugal and It was here where we had the worst breakfast: scarce, cold and “do it youself”.

This is a top one choice of stylish living, artistic deco, comfortable stay along Camino Portuguese costal. The most amazing experience is all about host: Sophia & Rami. They value every guests and willing to share and offer what guests care & interested in.

Warm welcome from one of the owners. Great location, and close to the Camino de Santiago trail. Huge room nicely decorated. Liked the "self-serve" breakfast concept, so you can eat anytime you want. Restaurant next door, recommended by the owner, was wonderful for dinner.
I prefer having a bathroom inside my room, but I was well aware that it would be an external - though private - bathroom when I booked... so this is not a complaint :-)

The accommodation is right in the middle of the historic town centre. We had breakfast at the open window overlooking the square each morning. A very well-equipped communal kitchen and dining area is available for self catering or even just a cup of coffee. The interior of the old building has been charmingly renovated with a loft-type flair.
Breakfast was ok but lacking in variety. On the last day the bread, cake and fruit rations appear to have been halved. We barely saw any staff during our stay, so it felt a little impersonal even though everything was well organized.
