Great location, nice walks in the area, and close to a lot of attractions. Liked the sun room above for sunsets. It could have been cleaned better. There were dirty dishes in the cabinet and sand in one of the beds. All in all I would recommend it to anyone

Turlough and Lisa were wonderful hosts of their cozy cottage in a lovely spot. The fire kept us warm on those chilly nights, and we were able to stay dry and catch up on reading in the lovely sun house. It is perfectly situated to enjoy beach walks, tour the many sights nearby, and get out on the water for boat tours. Thank you for sharing your family cottage with us! Hope to see you soon!

We loved our stay ar Ballintoy Harbour. The cottage is very cosy and well equipped - the outstanding feature is a fabulous sunroom in the garden with amazing views. We spent wonderful long evenings there or on the beaches right outside the front door. Absolutely perfect.

We enjoyed a wonderful 5 night stay at this special place. This place wouldn’t be for everyone - it is not designer luxury accommodations, nor does it purport to be, but we loved it. Excellent location that was handy to all of the attractions along the Antrim Coast. We had sunny days, suitable for splashing in the sea out the front door, and stormy days when we enjoyed staying in by the fire (supplies provided) looking out at the roiling waves crashing onto the rocks. Charmingly comfortable, with extensive fenced yard in back that would be great for dogs or kids (we had neither). Washer and dryer in back shed were rudimentary, but they worked. The kitchen is small, but functional- a new cooker was delivered during our stay. Do note that the kitchen was bare bones. Washing up liquid was supplied, but no paper towels, no salt and pepper, no condiments or basics, so if you are planning on cooking, plan accordingly and bring along or stock up locally. Private parking is provided next to the cottage, and the winding road down to the Harbour is fine as long as you take it slowly and are prepared to possibly meet a car coming in the opposite direction. This was a unique and special place to stay. We will remember it fondly and would love to return some day.

Beautiful surroundings on the seafront. Not a huge issue but on vrbo it seems like you are renting the whole cottage instead of one side. The neighbor initially didn’t act like he knew where our place was. It could use a new couch and the chairs in the glass house also sink in. We loved sitting in the glass house in the evenings! The grounds could use a little cleaning but overall a wonderful place❤️. I would advise people they must have a car and cannot rely on taxis due to the location ❤️

Cute and cozy little cottage in a dream location. The sea, beach, and harbour are right outside the front door as are wonderful walks to other beaches. There is also a great garden and sun lunge to relax in. Ballintoy harbour is so close to many of Northern Irelands fabulous attractions and the sea is so incredibly clean and clear. We absolutely loved our week here and will definately be returning. Will come armed with a supply of cat treats next time for the 3 cats that live on the harbour and visit the cottage to sleep in the shed, they are well fed and cared for by locals and visitors alike ❤️

Sleeps six but sitting and dining area not suitable for six. Kitchen preparation space inadequate. Needs some modernization and a few simple additions, e.g. somewhere to hang outdoor coats, couldn’t find a teapot. Outside space and location saves the stay, weather permitting of course. Superser gas heater causes fumes in summer house. Old wood burner not in use. Owner resolved a TV problem promptly.
Blessed with great weather.

The cottage is ideally situated close to all amenities and just within walking distance to the village of Ballintoy if you want to leave the car. The high spot is it is directly beside the sea.

This cottage is in a stunning location but has seen better days and was in need of a thorough clean. We loved the location with all the views, beaches and the garden and sunroom but the accommodation was cramped for 4 adults and 2 children. The bedrooms were comfortable except that there wasn't enough storage and living out our suitcases for 5 days was not enjoyable. You could easily put wardrobes in all the bedrooms. You couldn't fit 6 of us around the living room table and the kitchen was not big enough to cook in for us all. I made a fry up and I struggled to cook with the table and chairs out and no useable oven. The oven was honestly disgusting. I opened the dirty door to find 2 glass dishes with bits of food in them. We opened a drawer of the air fryer and found it full of grease. Also the dust and cobwebs in the corridors and living room were bad. At least 2 of the chairs were rickety and unsafe for adults to sit on. It was such a shame but everything seemed tired and in need of an update. Our daughters loved the garden and walks right on our doorstep and it was great we had a washing machine and tumble dryer but the cottage was disappointing. We couldn't get regular tv channels to work and I ended up logging in to netflix to get something for the kids to watch. Overall we were glad we spent most of our time out and about exploring the county.

We had such a lovely stay. The cottage is cosy and comfortable and has everything you need. The location is fabulous and we really enjoyed the garden and outdoor space and so did our dog. The views from the garden room are amazing and the nearby coastal walks are lovely. A great base to discover the wonderful North Coast; and also a special place to just chill out and relax.

Historic cottage set in the most beautiful location of Ballintoy Harbour. Lots of walks on the doorstep, quiet and peaceful out of season and understandably busy in the summertime.

The location is absolutely awe inspiring. The cottage was exactly as described, well equipped, and so cozy. Turlough was an excellent host and called shortly after check in to make sure everything was ok and provided some history of the cottage. We can't wait to return.

Absolutely amazing location! Breathtakingly beautiful views. Cosy and rustic cottage. Very clean and tidy! The only improvement that we think could be made, is replacing the mattresses. People have obviously had great comfort out of them but they’re springy and creaky. Everything else, absolutely spot on.

This OLD cottage is rustic, busting with character and feels like home the minute you walk through the door. It's location makes it hard to leave, even to visit the rest of this amazing island.
Can not wait to return.

Our third stay with 3 kids (5,7,9) and there's yet so much to explore. We had a few sunny summer days with the most beautiful sunsets, big waves and enjoyed just being inmidst the wild landscape. Roark's Kitchen and a coffee cart with icecream in front, a big garden with a barbecue place in the back and the patio on top with an uncomparable view. We had everything we needed inside and more with lots of games, toys, playstation. Just a fantastic stay. Thank you for that.

My husband and I eloped at Dunluce Castle in May, we stayed at this cottage with 4 of our friends and family for 5 days before the wedding. When I tell you it was the perfect place, everyone in our group adored it, it is right on the beach. As we drove down the windy road to the house we thought at first we missed it, surely it can’t be that close to the water but it was and it was stunning. Our first day there we explored the beaches and hiked along the path. It was close to great restaurants and a short drive from things like the rope bridge and causeway coast. I think even if we had stayed in the cottage or on the beach the whole five days it would’ve been fine, it’s the perfect place to spend a cozy night in making memories with your loved ones. I loved this place and hope to be back one day, it made our first trip to Northern Ireland a special one, and made our wedding day all the more magical. I’d highly recommend if you want a picturesque setting for your next vacation.

We had an amazing time at this stay! The owners were great communicators. The location is just the best. We especially loved reading in the warm greenhouse in the evenings. The harbor sunrises and sunsets are to die for. It is a great place to visit all the causeway coast sites too.

Bunk bed broken, child had to sleep on matter on floor. Kitchen cupboards filthy, matresses extremely uncomfortable need replacing. Outside at the back need a lot of attention as there are loose handrail and decomposing wooded steps. The place is in a fabulous location, however the premises needs a complete overhaul in order to have a pleasant stay. We left 2 days wary of a four day planned stay. I sent messages to both owners numbers to make them aware of the situation, and 2 days later I still have not heard from them, therefore I am writing this review.

Location Location Location, this is heaven on earth. Walks, swims and relaxation, we throughly enjoyed our stay. The cottage is just perfect, has everything you require. The sunroom has amazing views and the rear of the house is quiet and secluded. We could not recommend it enough.

We were very pleased with our stay. The property is as advertised and the conditions at the mountain were great. We found that to get to the mountain it is best to drive and pay for parking or to drive to the free Stinson lot (couple miles) and take the bus. Our only suggestion is that the kitchen could use some additional glasses particularly wine glasses.

Lovely warm, cosy cottage in the most idyllic setting. We had everything we needed for a perfect week. Plenty of towels, comfie beds, fully equipment kitchen. Dog friendly too, we stayed with our 3 dogs. Picturesque setting, stepped out of the front door and a couple of steps to the beach. Beautiful walks around Ballintoy and up to Whitepark Bay. Lovely local pub, also dog friendly. We had a perfect week, thank you Turlough

We had a wonderful stay in this cottage. Communication with the owner was first class and nothing was too much trouble. The house is in an ideal location for exploring nearby attractions and the beautiful coast. We loved the walks from the cottage. The property itself was very characterful - a couple of bits of furniture could do with being updated as the chairs, for example, were abit rickety! We would definitely recommend this property to anybody looking to explore Northern Ireland!
