A relaxing oceanfront stay with great property amenities

We love the location of Seaside Villas, around the corner from the main drag of restaurants and shops and a short walk from everywhere we wanted to go. We used the pool and hot tub throughout the stay and this was one of the highlights of our stay. Our condo was very spacious and large with a great private balcony looking out over the pool and ocean. When we needed help our host was very responsive in getting us what we needed like extra towels. A large jug of bottled water was provided in the room and it was well stocked with everything we needed. There are only six units in the apartment and you get to know your neighbours which we liked. It was decorated with funky original art all over the walls which added character.

Some of the communication could have been improved so we understood what to expect. We were without water most nights (10pm-5am) during our stay due to a water upgrading project. It wasn't a big problem but the first night we didn't know what was going on and why our water suddenly shut off. When we booked through Booking.com it said "No prepayment required". However, a couple weeks before our stay I was surprised to see half of the charge come off my credit card and thought there was some fraudulent behaviour at first. When I asked about it, I was told this was the policy and pointed to a clause in fine print that was not immediately apparent indicating that a deposit could be taken. The description "no prepayment required" is misleading so be sure to read all conditions and fine print carefully to ensure you agree before you book. Bring spray if small ants on the counters are something that bother you.

We'll be back!!

We actually didn't stay at Seaside Villas. They were overbooked, so the owners put us in La Vida Perazosa which was phenomenal and beyond reproach. Heydi was on the spot with anything you wanted. Sunsets on the roof were indescribably breathtaking. It was a fantastic, wonderful vacation!!

The hot tub / jacuzzi wasn't heated

Beautiful and relaxing

Heydi met us at the room and explained everything we needed to know. There is no onsite office but, she is available to reach very easily. The location was great, close to everything but still quiet. The view was spectacular, we will definitely stay here again if we ever return to Caye Caulker.

Ideal location and well equipped villas

The location was ideal both for its sea view and proximity to the split. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, and were easily accessible via WhatsApp. There was ample information about the island, including excursions and restaurants, provided in the apartment. The sitting room was nicely decorated, the TV was well connected, and the kitchen was well equipped. It was great to have both beach towels and bath towels provided, as well as ample drinking water.

Unfortunately, for villa no. 1 anyways, some soundproofing is needed, particularly at the front door. Anytime people passed by the door, which was often as it was by the main entry way, it sounded like they were in the villa with us. As well as this any noise made from the villa above us could be heard very clearly, it sounded like furniture was being moved around and a small child running around constantly - the noise could not be ignored. Another minor issue was that there was ants in the kitchen, on the counters.

This was a great villa for my family and I. We enjoyed the ease of access to the pool, beach, docks and local eateries.

The property was very close to the ferry, great view and close enough to the center of atttractions but also at a quiet distance.

Beautiful ocean views

Clean, comfortable and amazing ocean views! We stayed in unit #3 (2-bedroom, 2 bathroom) for our family of 4 with 2 teens.

Everything was great! Be prepared for low water pressure (you are on an island though, so it's to be expected).

The location is perfect! Close to the center of everything yet far enough away from the hustle. The view from our villa was spectacular. I could see the barrier reef!!!!

Kitchen could be cleaner. Counters and cabinets were slightly sticky and greasy.

Spacious and centrally located apartment with ocean view

The living area is airy, sunny and spacious, with a balcony looking over the small pool and ocean. The location is central, just two short blocks from the water taxi port- the island is small enough to walk to most places. Heydi was easy to reach via WhatsApp during our stay. We appreciated the water cooler!

The bedroom was a bit stuffy compared to the lovely living area, with a slight musty smell. The bed was too soft and small for two taller than average adults.

The only complaint I have is that the room was only cleaned once during our 10 day stay, and this was after I messaged the property manager requesting service.

we enjoyed our stay in Unit 5

our hostess Heydi was very accommodating . she arranged for us to be picked up at the airport and then again when we arrived from the water taxi and a pleasure to work with. she was always available. The unit was very clean but could use some updating. 2 bedroom-2 bathrooms- very spacious. The location was excellent. The pool was cleaned on a daily basis. The rooftop area was nice. Again very well taken care. The hot tub was warm with a beautiful view . We enjoyed the bbq facilities up there as well.

Unit 5 sits on the 3rd floor so they’re are steps to climb-

Wonderful Views

Location was perfect!! The balcony views amazing, roof top deck with hot tub we used a lot. Very close to grocery stores, restaurants and bars. Sat on balcony in the evening listening to music from the Salty Crab. Fabulous!!

The king bed was way too firm and the bed pillows not comfortable. Would have liked a selection of soft and medium pillows, not all firm.

Just a perfect spot for us to relax and enjoy!

The location was perfect for our group! Close to everything and the pool was an added bonus! Beds were very comfortable and it was nice to sit out on the balcony in the evening.

Caye living

The location was good and the place was spacious. Heydi, the property manager was responsive and provided good recommendations. The kitchen was stocked with pans and some basic spices, and there was coffee and tea which were really nice to start the morning. The pool was refreshing and the rooftop was a nice place to hangout. We appreciated that they acknowledged the drip leak in the kitchen, and waited to investigate the source until after we left, but I do hope they fix it soon.

There was very low water pressure, which made it hard to even take a decent shower. Also the bathroom sink had no hot water and though we notified Heydi on Thurs night, it wasn't until Sat that maintenance came by to take a look. Maybe that's just Caye time. The place is serviceable, but would benefit from a new mattress, some new kitchen towels, and to have the kitchen faucet tightened as it was quite wobbly. Some more attention to maintenance and decor would take the place from serviceable to welcoming! Be aware that "the beach" outside the unit is mossy hard-packed sand, and there is enough seagrass in the water to where it's not a good place to swim. When we were there the adjacent pier had many missing boards - hopefully that will soon be fixed... Finally, we learned after we got there that the water taxi is visible from the unit, and if you have light luggage, you don't need a golf cart taxi to reach it and can easily walk... Perhaps it is all a lesson on living in the Cayes...beatiful place, friendly people, everything else is... as it is...

Business/ Brake from Rat Race

Location, space Overall great place to stay Loved to art work Met Owner...nice old Chap Ocean front second floor overlooking pool 1 block from water taxi to mainland or san Pedro 2 blocks from Rena's Meat Pies,( ate them everyday) 1 block to Republic Food..lobster bites phenomenal and cant forget the jambalaya pasta WILL STAY HERE AGAIN!!

Ants which are common, amenities not explained Check in wasnt clear however it was effortless
