The room is spacious. Decoration is okay.
The rooms themselves are fairly clean.
There was a bad smell coming from the air conditioning grill. I told the staff about it and they moved me to another room that was just better. Apparently it's coming from the bar/kitchen.
Speaking of which, the bar, kitchen, and café are the same. I technically had breakfast in the bar which isn't the best experience.
The breakfast has also been poor and far from you'd expect from a 4 star hotel.
I ended up checking out prematurely and moved to a new hotel.

the overall experience was great
2.5
The location was great. Lots of shops surrounded the hotel so no need to walk a great distance. Pharmacy, Starbucks etc. were located just a few metres away. It was also on just a small incline so it was not difficult to move around. The hotel was extremely close to the hospital where I did my surgery. The staff accommodated me by having my breakfast delivered to my room each morning since it was so difficult for me to see post-op. I also like the fact that I could order lunch and dinner to the room directly from the hotel and the food was of high quality.
When I arrived, I was post-op. It would have been more helpful if the staff took more initiative in helping me pay for the taxi, getting me from the taxi, helping me find the reception, and telling me how I could order food etc. Since I was post-op and apart from feeling very unwell, I could barely see.

The hotel was close to the hospital we wanted to go to and it's close to the center malls and metro station.
The lobby is nice and big, the elevators work and are useful. The restaurant/pub right next to the hotel is nice and serves drinks and food including alcoholic drinks something that you can't take for granted in Istanbul.
Not being right on the main street helps a lot with the noise in the room. The rooms was quite spacious and beds were comfortable.
The general cleanness wasn't what I would expect from a four star hotel. In general speaking I didn't find what I would expect a four star hotel to be. The bathroom had mold in the shower by the silicone parts. The window was quite dusty on the outside and didn't have any kind of mosquito net or anything. The staff was not a four star staff, when I arrived I waited for something like 10 minutes for a guy to give me the keycard and take me to the room, didn't know English and just stayed on the phone. The first room was a double bed even though I asked for a two bed. They changed the room that meant another 10 minutes wait that ended with me going back to the reception and asking for my keycard. The guy there was just chilling on the phone. The towels were old, the white ones were flaky and some blue ones were visibly washed many many times. Overall too expensive for what it was. I can't say I found anything to be really bad but nothing to justify the over 100 euros per night price.

Big room. Possibility to order food from the bar downstairs.
My room was over the bar downstairs, and in the evening I could smell the smoking coming from there, had to change the room. Poor wifi connection.
