English breakfast was average but the staff where chatty and friendly. The pub and restaurant at night very cosy, good beer and friendly staff.
The access to the rooms was well passed its best with worn and dirty carpets. Although the room was clean the bed was horrendous. I may as well have slept on a straw mattress. Well passed its best. The bedside lamp shade was also just perched on the top of the lamp, not fixed. I would visit the pub again but not stay the night.

Central location within the village. Large room with a large bathroom. Comfortable bed. Delicious breakfast. Friendly staff and guests. Good value for money.
Our only gripe was the room was too warm for our preference. Unable to turn the radiator off but solved by opening the window

Staff were fabulous.
Easy to get to.
Parking excellent.
Room was spacious, clean and as expected.
Good value for money
Mattress was almost at end of use, could feel springs.
Very cold in the breakfast room - even the waitress had to wear a jacket to serve.
Dietary options limited in terms of GF. Also the gammon was very very salty.

Bed could do with an upgrade

Pub has plenty of character. Great breakfast.
Initially, radiators were not providing heat. Staff quickly rectified issue once they became aware of the issue.
4.5
Lovely pub atmosphere, great beer, superb food in the restaurant, staff very good all round. The building is old and quirky.
Beer and drinks were a bit pricey, and the electronic card pay system did not cater for tips. So if you don't have cash the waiters get nothing.
2.5
Breakfast just OK. Very, Staff were really accommodating.
Bedrooms and their access. Really feels very old and artificial. Very dated bedrooms. Needs substantial upgrade. Very gloomy.
Car parking was ad hoc.

Location and friendly welcome make this a great place to stay as well the excellent food in the restaurant.
Sometimes car parking can be difficult at busy times as it it only small space, but there is parking at the front of the pub.

Breakfast was good
I get it a old building but the room needs to be up dated , staff was not very welcoming and check out is a bit early 10.30.

Great location for me, my customer was just up the road. Room was fine, WIFI was really excellent which makes a change to most hotels. Super and great value evening meal. Food was high quality. Breakfast also good and staff excellent.
nothing, all was good.

The breakfast was great,
There was nothing we disliked.o

Not much at all unfortunately
The rooms were small, beds uncomfortable. The bathrooms had glass doors which were partially see-through offering little privacy. One of our two rooms the toilet did not flush. The owner tried to repair, unsuccessfully, and we had to move to a less comfortable room.

Free on site parking. Nice large room with ample storage if required. All rooms upstairs on the first floor (... just for anyone with any mobility issues ...) fine for us as always prefer to be upstairs :+)
Nice little village pub. Very busy and good to see it so ... if it's busy it must be good. Restaurant busy but still got table for meal. Meals were lovely ... both evening meal and full English breakfast following morning. Would have no hesitation returning if in the area again.
Think all rooms also booked up for that night. Nice to see a pub doing well.
EVEN THE WEATHER WAS OK!!! ;-) Had a nice walk around the village.

The staff were especially good at check in, the bar service and breakfast time. Very pleasant!
The breakfast was very good.
Only that the room was a little dated, I expected that though as it is an old pub and thought was still good value for money taking into account the comment above.

Quirky room, comfy bed, good size space, plenty of room for hanging clothes
main road facing was pretty noisy with passing cars - single glazed room.

Breakfasts were good and more than ample. Lunch was exceptionally good and Sunday lunch good too.
Richard the manager was excellent and really looked after us well from start to finish. Even the manager came round the dinner tables to make sure we were happy with everything.
The bed was perhaps a little hard.
4.5
We loved the oldy worldy look, the very friendly atmosphere, central location and quality and price of meals.
A special thank you to Richard who gave us a very warm welcome and helped us with any questions we had. Also the owner who made sure we were happy with everything.
