About this villa rental
Our Villa, is set in Malveira da Serra, near several nice spots to visit, like Sintra, Cascais, Guincho beach and also Lisbon.
Villa Malveira is a modern Portuguese country house and private holiday estate, very comfortable for large families or groups, always with Atlantic Ocean in the backdrop.
Our villa has shown in a few home decoration magazines, for the trendy country chic style of its interiors, relaxed atmosphere , and the original design of the pool and the gardens.
It is 2 minutes drive away from a Supermarket, Bakery, Pharmacy, ATM, and several little restaurants and Bars.
We have been in this business for a few years now, always glad to welcome our guests, and help in any need that may arise during the vacations.

Perfect having pool for kids but rarely used as it was too cold. Location well situated w easy access to Sintra, Caiscais and Lisbon. Luxuriously spacious home and garden built in the last century must require extensive maintenance, so there were a few challenges with plumbing and windows, but very good value, overall and a great stay!

We enjoyed a lot of time at the villa with family and friends. Great to have peace and quiet but with shops and restaurants within walking distance.

Fantastic property and location
We had the perfect family short holiday, and Covid times retreat. Large home, stunning garden, very comfortable. All better than the pictures!
Short drive to beach and our teens even walked to the shops to get candy!
Thank You Rodrigo and Joana!

Villa Malveira 19th to 26th September 2016
The accommodation and location were superb. We were a party of 7 adults and the Villa provided us with space comfort and access to a beautiful coastline , the Sintra Mountains and Palaces, Cascais and the beautiful city of Lisbon.
The Villa itself was very attractive spacious and immaculate. It was surrounded by the most beautiful gardens and a wonderful swimming pool,
I should also note that we received a lovely welcome from Joana who not only showed us around the accommodation but also gave us tips about where to go and where to eat. Her suggestion of eating out at the fish restaurant on the glorious beach at Adraga was one of many highlights of the holiday.
The whole of our group would without reservation, recommend the accommodation to anyone and everyone.
We would all love to return one day.

DELIGHTFUL VILLA - SOL DOMUS EXEMPLARY
Villa Maleira is absolutely true to its pictures and charm. This home is clean, comfortable and beautiful. The gardens and the pool are meticulously kept and a haven to relax, bathed by sunshine and the fresh ocean air.
Ideally located in the small town of Malveira da Serra, it is a 5 minute drive to anything you may wish for. It provided us as a family with a wonderful holiday.
On arrival the Lady of the house was a wonderful hostess, graciously making us feel immediately welcome and at home.
Everything worked well at the villa. the bedrooms were comfortable, well appointed, the beds with good quality linen. (note that king size beds are rare in Europe) yet on a holiday it is perhaps a wonderful thing.
This is a home, it is decorated with class and charm, with a beautiful open fireplace (for the few cooler evenings of March) and a divine porch secluded from the wind, overlooking the pool and the ocean, the perfect place to enjoy a glass of wine watching the sunset.
The booking agency Sol Domus services were excellent, promptly resolving any unforeseen situation and devoted to finding us the most suitable accommodation, carefully listening to our needs and providing all the information for a happy holiday.
We will rely on this agency and this Villa for our future visits to lovely Sunny Portugal and confidently recommend Villa Malveira for an exceptional Holiday.

We (two families of four with kids) stayed at the villa for a week in July 2015. The house and gardens are very nice, the pictures don't lie. However, after a first good impression, we soon learned that not everything was as perfect as we thought. In the kitchen, there was old used oil in a deep fryer and used coffee still in the machine. The dishes were partially dirty, typical for just taking them out of the washer into the cupboard without a check. That might be fine for some people at their home, but certainly not if you rent a villa to guests. Then there were no cushions on the plastic sunbeds – not a disaster, but not living up to the price paid for the villa. The shower in the master bedroom was splashing horizontally, making it impossible to take a normal shower. Finally, the ad we saw on www.sol-domus.com listed a table tennis (one of the main reasons we chose this house), which was not there. All these things were not a huge disappointment, but the way our complaints were handled was. First they didn’t believe about the table tennis until we sent them the link. Then the reaction was to promise to take it off the list – good for future guests of course but what about us? The kitchen issue was answered by saying that the cleaning lady would come mid-week anyway – obviously until then we already cleaned the dishes we needed ourselves. She then cleaned the coffee machine, but left the old oil… The riddle about the cushions was solved at the end of our holiday – they apparently got wet earlier and had to be replaced, but the ordered ones had not arrived so far. Oh, and the shower probably still splashes horizontally, as no one ever bothered to answer this one… In summary, we clearly thought that we should get a refund as too many things went wrong, but the answer was no, nada, nichts, niente, rien.

As a group of senior golfers, we stayed at Villa Malveira in late 2014 and it was, without doubt, one of our best holidays ever.
Ideally located just outside the small town of Malveira da Serra in the foothills of the Sintra-Cascais National Park, Villa Malveira enjoys a secluded, but secure position in its own extensive grounds with far reaching Southerly views to the sea.
The Villa is an absolute gem, elegant, spacious, superbly furnished, well equipped and spotlessly clean; as soon as you walk through the front door you feel at home.
Outside, the immaculate terraced gardens, full of exotic fruits and flowers, lead down to the large infinity swimming pool (not secure for young children) where, lounging on a sunbed, the only sounds are the singing of the birds and the whistling of a cooling breeze in the trees.
The owners are charming and live nearby and the booking agency, Sol Domus, are superb; always professional, highy efficient, knowledgeable, keen to help and a joy to work with, especially Pippa.
We cannot recommend the Villa, the owners and the Agency more highly and we cannot wait to return. Indeed, we have already booked the same week in 2015!!
