This beautiful place checks off all the boxes. Communication with the owner Thomas was excellent.
The cottage (more like a house) is fairly new and very clean and well maintained. It is stocked with all the kitchen essentials you might need. Heat pumps on both levels kept things very comfortable on the really hot days.
Then you step outside and are greeted with a magnificent view of the Northumberland Strait and a beautiful beach, wonderful for walking, playing and swimming.
An amazing place to relax and rewind!!!

My family needed a place to recharge and rejuvenate. It was great to get away and chill.

What an amazing spot. We've been coming to this area for years renting cottages closer to the Confederation Bridge and even taking our travel trailer to Murray Beach Provincial park, but Thomas's place takes the cake. The views (especially at sunset) are truly amazing and having a beach pretty much to ourselves was a definite bonus.
Loved the kitchen. It was a really nice size with all you need to make all your meals (pots, pans, big bowls, lobster utensils, etc). Beds were comfy (even the pull out sofa). But our favorite thing other than the beach view was the screen room . We ate all our meals out there (even when it rained a little bit one day). Oh, and I loved that they have multiply chairs and different types (zero gravity, camping chairs and beach chairs). Everything was very well thought out :)

Beach, sunsets, very nice cottage. That’s enough, but there was more!

We had a lovely stay! There were plenty beds and they were very comfy. The beach was close enough to walk to and was still surprisingly warm for October! The gifts were a nice touch. Would stay again if i ever make it back to PEI. Thank you!

The house was very nice and well stocked! Only problem was finding it in the night! I would suggest getting there in the daytime! The view was amazing! We couldn’t walk on the beach because of the hurricane! We highly recommend this property! Thomas was always helpful when I had questions!

We had a great time there. The location is relatively close to everything: PEI, parks, etc. The water was very warm with lots of small creatures to catch and release. The kids loved the trip.

We absolutely loved the house & the property as well as the beautiful & expansive views of the Northumberland Strait. The house, screened-in porch & deck all overlook the water, and the beach, though somewhat rough & rocky in places, is secluded and inviting at low tide. The owner of this lovely property was very prompt in responding to our questions and very responsive to our request for an early check-in. It is wise to arrive with most of the groceries needed for your stay, but there is a very charming little general store nearby where you can easily supplement your supplies. We hope very much to return one day to this little piece of paradise. This wish speaks volumes about how much we appreciated our stay!

Fabulous cottage tucked privately down a short wavy drive… a few walks on the expansive beach … beds comfortable… had every thing we needed … great base for day trips around the area… would definitely come again

I was staying in the area to facilitate an event nearby. How grounding it was to wake up each morning and walk across the grass to the beach before I left, then to watch the sunset in the evening. The house was immaculate and everything necessary to relax and enjoy our time here was provided. I hope to return.

This is a lovely cottage and all is as described in the listing. Clean and in good condition, with amazing ocean views. The beach does have rocky and seaweed patches with the tide coming in and out, but it’s incredibly private and relaxing. The house is well supplied and the kitchen is very well equipped, plus there’s a BBQ and a firepit. The screened in porch, as well as the screens on all the windows (all screens in excellent condition) make it easy to enjoy the ocean breeze without having to worry about bugs all the time. The only negative of our experience was the wi-fi, which is likely due to the remote location (but our devices still had good coverage in the location and could use our own data). There are other neighbouring cottages around but no amenities in proximity so it’s important to arrive well stocked. TIP for parents: there is a big and really nice children’s playground right on the highway, about 10-12min drive from the property in the direction toward Shediac, near to the One Fish Bistro.

Our family had a beautiful time at this location. It was like having our own private beach with everything provided and unexpected extras. Had a sweet bunny visitor every day, adventures on the beach, and meals outside protected from bugs. Just wonderful, thank you!

The property was beautiful, the view of the water and the beach was heavenly. The house came equipped with everything you could ever need; dishwasher, fully stocked kitchen, laundry machines, bonfire equipment, bbq, board games, etc. We stayed multiple nights and never had a issue. I am looking forward to a time when I can return. The host made sure to leave a binder with any answers to any questions in a binder, and was easily accessible and kind.

We spent a wonderful long weekend at Thomas’ Beachfront Retreat, and the place was a real gem. Clean, comfortable, and perfectly located. We appreciated all the amenities and attention to detail. Check-in was a breeze and Thomas was very responsive to our questions. We have no hesitation in recommending this spot for couples and families.

Comfortable cottage located on a beautiful waterfront property. Quiet and private location. The rental was as advertised and the owner was always quick to reply to any inquiries.

Definitely ocean front but rather in the middle of no where but a map will tell you that. We stopped at this property as a layover prior to flying out of Halifax airport (2 hour drive). There is a convenience store with gas 5 klms away. Beyond that you must travel for a major grocery store. Steep banks in front on ocean edge. Owner advised us prior to arrival there would be no stairs (due to storm) down to beach/ocean. Without stairs there is really no beach access (ask if the stairs have been rebuilt). The photos and the price had perhaps had our group expecting a little "more" at this cottage. Basically clean, and all basic cooking utensils supplied. The BBQ is rusted out and we did not use it. I would like to think there will be a new perhaps little more modern BBQ for the next guests. We were able to connect to the wifi but next to no speed and cut out more than in. The cable box had a reasonable number of channels available if you care. Given the location and very few rentals available in the area, perhaps I am being to critical. Bottom line..the rental rate we paid in off season did not match the property as a whole.
