Asquerosa,insalubres e insegura

Asqueroso estaba sucio, las camas estaban con sábanas sucias y sin hacer , había mucha basura bajo los muebles, las paredes estaban rotas, literal parece una casa abandonada y sucia , es absolutamente opuesto a las fotografias, es el lugar más asqueroso en el que me he alojado; reservé para tres noches pero me fui inmediatamente amaneció a buscar otro lugar.

Espantoso, rodeado de ratas

Había un basural rodeando la entrada, infestado de ratas. El lugar humedo, con telas de araña en los rincones, se sentia muy fuerte el ruido del segundo piso La atención mala, habia que insistir para que nos respondiera Un lugar espantoso, no pudimos estar mas de 5 minutos ahi y debimos irnos a buscar un nuevo alojamiento. Igualmente nos cobró, pese a las condiciones en que estaba el lugar y a no haberlo usado. Por favor no vayan ahi

Not at all as advertised! keep looking...

It was convenient to the metro. 3 minute/block walk. However- there were an awful lot of homeless people hanging around the station- all hours. Not safe at night walking home!!! Our first night we stopped at the local safeway grocery store to pick up basics that weren't provided in the unit (paper towels, cups, tissues) We were walking home from the metro and a guy ran into the store bleeding because he was mugged out front of the store. Be careful of picking up followers from the metro station, and alley ways are not lighted. In order to access this apt (which has no kitchen) you need to walk thru alley ways, and pass dumpsters- where you will see people picking thru them after dark. We thought there would be places around there to eat, they close very early, and if they are open - don't accept cash FYI.

It was filthy! hair left in the soap dishes, cockroaches, stains on the couch, paint missing on the wall, holes in the wall, and utilities in need of real repair. The shower has definitely seen better years, towels were thin and smelled, and so did the sheets. You really wondered if it they were clean and what you pay a $40 cleaning fee for. There are no extra blankets, no wash clothes, and the hair dryer doesn't work. We were cold at night in the unit. There is no kitchen- so how he calls it an apt I don't know. Only a microwave and mini fridge, no cups, and you will need to get water for the kettle from the tub. Anything you found in the place was because it was left from previous guests. There was no light over the basement door you access- so it was fun manipulating the lock box while holding your cell phone flashlight, from the back of the town house- thru the alley ways, right in front of the dumpsters. We wanted to rent the off street parking- for an extra $15 a day- but the owner over booked it. We tried calling the owner one week before going to confirm the reservation, the beds had sheets- or if we needed to bring our own, and if we could get into the apt to drop off our bags early (before 3pm)... No response from the owner after 4 attempts by phone, email, text and app -until we contacted booking directly. Write down this 800.850.3958 phone number for the US. You will not find it on the booking app- trust us, we looked. We finally got a response from him - with "no problem" and he would send us instructions friday morning first thing on how to enter the property. The instructions didn't come until after 3pm, and after we had to call Booking.com to get the instructions sent to us. Of note, the floors are really thin and you will hear their tv and baby. There is an inside staircase that enters the basement unit from their place. There is no lock on it, and it was just another one of those things about this place.

Nothing, if haven't been there, dont go, no cheap, dirty, dangerous etc

Completely dirty, bathroom broken, not at all as advertised, no communication with the owner, just through another person, so weird. Drug dealers around the area, I mean in the backyard.

Nothjng AT ALL !!!! DO NOT RENT HERE !!! This listing is a complete SCAM!!!! Very misleading!

The entrance to the property is located in a RAT INFESTED alleyway! Drug addicts / dealers approached me as I walked to the store across the street. VERY UNSAFE LOCATION.

The apartment is not clean

it has 3 beds, the place is in the center of the city

the place is too small it has no tables, the bathroom is not clean and the refrigerator is too small, the toilet bowl is broken

The location was good, and the space as well.

The location was good. However, behind the couch was dirty with trash, the same under the beds. Noisy, and outside the place a lot of trash. I was charged 40 dollars for cleaness. That was an abuse.

Based on this experience I would possibly not make further booking with booking com.

The host is great but the unit is in really very bad shape and in my opinion with respect to the following points: : 1. It is a basement unit, poorly maintained, very humid and hot. The AC unit is not effective and there is no thermostat in the unit to manage the AC 2. There are several small wholes in the unit that are potential source of insect infestation. Consequently I encountered with crawling spiders and flying mosquitos. 3. The back bedroom door lock was found broken and not working. Also doors don’t have any stopper snd consequently door handle marks are on the wall all over in the unit. 4. The living area has no vent for AC and remained very hot throughout the night. 5. The thermostat are not there in the unit and is controlled upstairs by the host. 6. Most doors has broken/damaged with falling moldings. None has any door stoppers. 7. The unit has no Kitchenette or cooking range. 8. Smoke alarms were taken out. Considering all the above, I found the unit is not safe to stay and it should not be on booking com listing. I trusted booking com must have surveyed the unit but that was certainly not the case. Overall I felt I was misinformed and the unit was not in livable condition.

Host is very nice man he understood my concerns very well and accepted the highlighted facts

I was very pleased with my stay and will definitely keep this place in mind if I’m in DC again.

The basement apartment was conveniently located; the host was very friendly and accommodating; the apartment was spacious and met our needs. Everything was great!

The apartment got a little warm at night, but everything else was great.

very uncomfortable for a family stay.

very few linens. Minimal towels, all mismatched. No top sheets on beds. We watched a drug deal go down the first day we were there. Found drug paraphanalia (roach clip) under the bed in second bedroom.

Location : 5 min walk to Metro station.

Everything! This property was disgusting. The floor was covered in rat feces the tub and toilet were absolutely disgusting. The bedding had stains all over them. This property has no business on booking.com it is giving you a bad reputation.

Great location. Kind hosts. Not a great space.

We booked for 5 adults, but there was no bedding of any kind for the 5th person to use the fold out couch. There was not even an extra sheet or blanket anywhere, and the room was quite cold at night, so sleeping covered only by my sweater, with no pillow, was not comfortable. There were also only 3 towels available. To be fair, we realized all of this late in the evening, so we did not notify the host.

overall it is not worth the money

i liked the fact that it was a lot of food places near and that it was a lot of things that were walking distance i love that we were very close to howard and we could easily walk to the school if we were to visit it

the Airbnb didn't meet my expections at all it was a lot of flys and it was so many spiders he brung a used candle to make them go away but that didnt help the fly traps didnt help either they kept stomping over our heads and they were very loud when they were talking the tub was disgusting and the rooms had alot of stuff under the beds i couldnt make out what it was it looked like food almost it had a very disturbing smell when we first got there it smelled like dirty socks or a moldy basement the beds were very itchy its very hot and the ceilings are very low i was disgusted and irritated the whole stay the beds were hard and the couch looked very old and worn i personally dont recommend staying here because you have to walk in a ally full of rats to get to the airbnb and that is very disturbing overall i wish i could get my money back

Exceptional

Property was very convenient to where we needed to go for our daughters check in at Howard University. One a Sophomore and the other a Freshman. Convenient to Walmart and other places to eat. It was clean, very peaceful with the exception of our kids, and the host was very good at responding to any questions you may have. Whether you contacted through txt or via messaging through booking.

Only a couple of things were an inconvenience. The AC vent in one of the bedrooms was leaking condensation onto the bed while sleeping. The other is having to make sure you didn’t park for more than 2hrs anywhere in the neighborhood and that you were not parking on the days and hours of the street sweeping schedule. Read The Signs!! Other than that nothing not to like.

Terrible

The property did not match the description online

The property was horrible and not described the same online. First of all I had one of my guest check in and make sure the place was fine before everyone traveled far and when my guest arrived the key was very hard to open the door and when he went inside there was no kitchen just a small microwave and refrigerator the furniture looked old the beds looked worn out the place was too small. When he went to open the exit door to leave he could not open the door is was stuck and it broke easily. When I called to request a refund the owner was very rude by stating yelling. “No calling Booking.com” I spoke with a customer service rep to request my refund for a different stay but I was told that could not happen until the owner request a refund but I do not know if they will because the owner is trying to say that my guest broke his door but the door was not easy access from the beginning so I believe that the owner knew the door was not secure and tried blaming my guest who actually put their money up to stay in this persons home. So why would they intentionally break a door that was not easy to access ? Please do not stay here bad quality and rude owners.
