Loved the beach access, the sitting area, and gardens surrounding the cabin. Had such a relaxing stay and enjoyed exploring the island! Also loved we could bring our dog along with us on our family vacation :-)
Would be nice to have screens on bedroom and living room windows just to keep the bugs out.

We had an excellent stay at Sticks and Stones Cottage. It is a lovely spot with friendly, helpful hosts, and very comfortable facilities. The hide-a-bed had an additional foam mattress which made it quite comfortable. The Wi-Fi dropped rather easily, which was also easily reconnected, and we weren't wanting to spend a great deal of time online anyway while on vacation. The goal is to get away from everyday routines and pressures. And Sticks 'N Stones delivered in spades.

Very Quiet, Nice Hosts,
The internet was terrible.

Location was good, feels very homey.
Couldn’t get the cable to work and the electric stove.

Very friendly, welcoming, people. Great attention to detail. Gave local information and map to ensure a good experience.

A very pleasant, cozy and somewhat rustic cottage. Owners were not on-site but communication with them was easy. They were very cooperative in terms of a refund for one night which we had to cancel due to personal reasons. We were ok with chopping wood for the stove but some guests may find this difficult.
Wood-burning stove was nice but it made to cottage very hot. Electric baseboard heaters were not adequate to keep the cottage warm on their own. No fire extinguisher in the cottage. Cell coverage was almost non-existent and on-site wi-fi was weak.

cozy, quiet in the forest. beautiful

We had a relaxing stay in this charming, private cottage. On arrival we were met by the lovely owners Ralph & Rocky who provided us with a map & lots of good info about places to see, things to do, and where to eat on Galiano Island; we had a great time following many of their suggestions. We spent many hours enjoying Montague Provincial Park & beach, Bellhouse Park and Morning Beach. It was also pleasant to just sit outside on the cottage patio chairs and read.

Sticks and stones was comfortable and charming. The cottage was well equipped, a 5 minute walk to beautiful shore line, and Ralph and Rocky were helpful.
Galiano is amazing - such great hikes, quiet but also with interesting food and culture.
wifi didn’t really work and there’s very little call reception

Cottage was clean, convenient, nice to sit and read a book on the outside porch. Appreciated that it was dog friendly. Hosts met us when we arrived and gave us a great introduction to the island along with a useful map. Close to shore access and a lovely community park. So many wonderful hikes on Galiano makes it an island worth exploring.
Would have liked a bigger bed (I think it was a double) and wifi is a bit spotty.

Ralph and Rocky were great hosts! The met us upon arrival and provided us with a map of the island and gave us insight on the best places to visit during our stay.

it was really quiet, and the owner’s respect your privacy.
too close of the main property.

The hosts met us upon arrival, showed us where everything was . We didn't even lock the door once the whole visit! There are 3 of us - and we were totally comfortable the whole time - we will be back!

I was surprised by the price that you charged me ($195); I thought it was going to be $300.00 for 2 days for which I already paid $150.00. Please provide me with the breakdown.
Please note for your information:
Your WIFI is intermittent and often not available.
The step down was something I had to think about all the time (I have a knee replacement)
There was no coffee in the suite which surprised me.
Your listing showed a cabin on its own; I was shocked at how close other properties are to the cabin.
I also believed it was close to a beach; it is, but not that close.
I liked how clean and warm everything was. The induction stove worked like a charm.
A suggestion: on rainy cold days, I would offer a late checkout. I had to wait around the island until 5:45pm for my ferry and there were few places to go to to get warm.

Great location and hosts were fab. Loved the tour guide leaflet that had carefully been put together by the hosts, it meant we had a great day of exploring all the best sites.

Super comfortable, quiet and cozy with the wood stove. The hosts were friendly and very knowledgeable about Galiano Island. Great people!
Nothing to not like. It was a perfect place to spend 4 nights.

The hosts, Ralph and Rocky, were amazing. They made our stay super comfortable and cozy. And with their guideness we could find all the hidden gems of the island. Will be coming back for 100%

Comfy bed & good linens & towels. Lots of hot water.
Sofabed is also comfy as it has a memory foam topper.
Lots of character!
Hosts were available by phone & very helpful, informative & concerned that we had everything needed.
Bathrm is ensuite so people on sofabed need to go slightly thru bedroom.
No screens on windows prevents opening them for ventilation. Would be great to add a bathrm fan.
Map provided is out of date for retail, pickup new one at Info booth near ferry

Quiet and serene location in amongst the trees with friendly helpful hosts. Good water and pressure, not a guarantee on Galiano Island. Well stocked kitchen if you wish to cook. We only ate breakfast there. Good linens and towels. Following guest arriving the next day so appreciated the late checkout at 11:30 as had an afternoon ferry. Thank you Ralph, Rocky and Patricia.

Indoor and outdoor chairs were comfortable; beautiful arbutus trees outside. Good wifi, changed service from the one that elicited negative reviews of it.
Yard and landscaping were cluttered, lumpy bed, not many screens but plenty of mosquitos. Booking.com incorrectly listed air conditioning.

Great location, close to the beach. Friendly and helpful hosts
Wifi was very spotty but it forced us to be more present and go out and explore and hike
