About this villa rental
Villa Carmen is an air conditioned 5 bedroom, 3 bathroom Villa, laid out over 2 floors with a ground to roof open aspect lounge. Outdoors the villa offers a private heated pool, ample space for sunbathing and dining, a large outdoor lit lounge area and a huge lit pergola providing comfortable covered outdoor seating.
The first floor consists of a double bedroom, complete with a king size bed and French windows out to a spacious balcony, a bathroom with shower, twin basins, toilet and bidet and also a twin bedroom with 2 single beds. Each bedroom has ample wardrobe and drawer space, bedside cabinets and remote controlled air conditioning.
The ground floor has a further double bedroom with king size bed, a further twin bedroom with 2 single beds and again these are remote controlled air conditioned with ample wardrobe and drawer space and bedside cabinets. Alongside these are 2 bathrooms containing a shower, single basin and toilet and a further bedroom containing bunk beds. This bedroom too is remote controlled air conditioned.
The ground floor also provides a spacious kitchen, with fridge, oven, electric ceramic hob, dishwasher and microwave. A further large fridge freezer is housed in the utility room along with the washing machine, the electric hot water tank and a butler sink. Clothes drying racks are provided outside.
The villa has 2 lounges. Each lounge has 2 matching sofas, a large flat screen TV which provides the complete Spanish air to view package as well as the Astra 2 Satellite service which provides a good number of UK channels, a DVD and a PS4. The main lounge has a dining table with 6 chairs . The second lounge, provides a bluetooth music system which will link to most iPods, iPads, MP3 players and phones. This lounge also has a Wii console.
The outside of the villa consist of a filtered heated pool with depths from 1.1m to 1.4 metres. The pool is approximately 13ft by 28 ft in size. There are 8 adjustable sun loungers and 2 adjustable high back arm chairs all provided with beach towels. There are also parasols both poolside and for the dining table and outdoor lounge. The pool area also provides a full size purpose built charcoal barbeque. In terms of outside dining, there is a large 10 seater table and 10 chairs and an additional breakfast table with 4 chairs. There is also a large wood and tile pergola which has wicker sofa seating. Additionally there is a separate fully lit outdoor patio with wicker sofas, chairs and coffee table.

We had a lovely stay at the villa, it is very spacious and we especially enjoyed the little covered lounge areas round the side.
There was plenty of bath towels and pool towels, kitchen was also well stocked.
Villa is presented to a high standard with good quality furnishings both inside and out.
Communication with the owner running up to the trip was great, as was the communcation with both Tina and Julie who helped out with a couple of things during our stay.
The only negative I have was that we had issues with the AC unit in the master suite, there were several nights during our stay that it was not functional which made for very uncomfortable and restless nights.
Tina and Julie were quick to respond and did their best to help with resolving the issues, but it did mar the overall experience slightly.
Would absolutely stay at the villa again if it wasnt for that and would highly recommended.

In a fantastic property. Yes we didn’t have air con downstairs but this was rectified on our stay and now plenty air con . Also the brollies around the pool have been replaced. All the family loved this villa whose ages ranged from 75 to 6 years. Plenty of space for us all. Beds so comfy. You will not be disappointed booking this villa. The location is superb. 😎

Great villa that has everything you need for a relaxing enjoyable stay. Communication with the owner from booking to arrival was excellent and everything we asked for was catered for. The area is very nice and quiet with a large supermarket 5 mins walk away , nearest beach is also 5 mins away and the centre about 10 mins. Lots of places to eat and drink. Private pool is large enough for several people and the outdoor space is very large with lots of sunshine in many areas . Would definately recommend, To anyone thinking of booking dont think just book it

Host excellent and every detail accurate. Close to everywhere. Great info at villa about activities/restaurants. Could not ask for anything more from a villa with a family of 10 inc all ages. Loved it!

We had a very pleasant stay at the villa, the location is great and in walking distance to everything. The host Peter was fantastic and replied very promptly and even booked us a transfer back to the airport.
The property itself is a little tired, and it wasn’t the cleanest when we arrived. We also struggled with hot water at the property resulting most nights in a few of us having cold showers.
Overall the stay was great though! Thanks again.

Excellent villa
This was our fifth trip to Fuerteventura and this was by far the best villa we’ve stayed in. Spacious, excellent facilities and a great pool! 10-15 minute max stroll to the centre.

We are 2 families from Denmark, and we went in February '20 back to this house, because everything is perfect here.
Good location near by stores and restaurants, and a 10 minutes walk from a perfect beach. The pool is very nice heated - our kids were in the water constantly!
We really love this place.
As a fact the pictures on this site are not good enough :-) The house is BETTER than the pictures. And perfect for 2 families!

Location is everything you need when self catering in a villa too - good sized Hyperdino supermarket in the Camponario centre 5 minutes walk away. Also small restaurants here, although we preferred the 20 minute walk into town for more choice.
Peter was a pleasure to deal with too. Absolutely recommended.

Noticed a few coolboxes and picnic stuff which would have been useful if we had found the time. The rugged beach to the south would be ideal for a picnic and a kick around (or bring a kite !)

We stayed at this villa for a week in November 2018. Within a couple of days of arriving we had to report a broken clip holding the shower head which had fallen and hit my father on the head. We then discovered a loose plastic connection at the top of one of the outside driers. Still useable we decided not to spend our whole holiday complaining. We left the villa exactly as we found it and were shocked to receive an email from the owner 11 days later notifying us he was making a damage claim for the purchase of a new drier and the carriage cost which was a third of our deposit. I was advised that the villa is checked before and after each booking, so questionable why we were being notified 3 days before we were due our deposit back. I strongly contested this with the owner and HomeAway and told no deduction would be taken until considered by HomeAway, a couple of minutes later I received my deposit back with the deduction of the damage claimed . the owner told me I was lucky we weren't charged for the new shower clip. We were refunded the carriage cost but remain out of pocket. the owner has offered to refund us this money if we book to stay again! We are annoyed and disappointed as a family that we feel we have been targeted for the purchase of a new clothes drier which was obviously not new and could be put down to general "wear and tear". I wish to warn anyone who books with this owner that they may not get their deposit back if the owner decides he would like to replace something else.

Relaxing December Family Break
Communication before the stay was great with lots of helpful answers from Peter and our late arrival was dealt with great patience by Ray.
The villa is well presented, comfortable, clean and contained everything we needed for our stay.
The villa’s location is spot on with a shopping centre over the road and the beach a short stroll away. We hired cars from the airport and found them useful to travel out of Corralejo but unnecessary as everything is within a 30 minute walk and the Taxi’s and buses are easy to use.
We were a group of nine with ages ranging from 18 months to 79 years and a great time was had by all.

A super house in an amazing location.
We absolutely loved our stay here. The house is spacious and well equipped plenty of room for two families.
The location is perfect, with walks into town and to the beach. Pool area was well maintained both the pool temperature and the house temperature were perfect.
The surrounding area was very quiet and peaceful.
Just fantastic!
If I were to change one thing it would be the oven, but it didn't affect the enjoyment of our holiday at all.

Lovely clean villa in ideal location
The villa was just perfect for our stay. It had everything we could possibly need to make our stay comfortable from extra plates through to a coffee machine. The owner & manager were always willing to answer any questions we had. Ray was great on arrival as he managed to talk to the transfer driver for us when we were having language issues. The pool was a good size and there were lots of options for areas to relax in both in and our of the sun. The location was close the El Campanario which meant only a short walk to shops when we needed them. The beach was also close and gave an lovely walk up to the harbour with both sandy areas and rock pools. We had lots of fun and would definitely consider booking again in the future.

A very spacious and well equipped villa ideally situated within the resort of Corralejo.
Just returned from a 2 week stay at Villa Carmen. We were a party of 9 (6 adults and 3 children aged 6. 5 & 4). Reading through previous reviews you will see it has all been said before about the villa.
A very quiet, child safe complex, close to a large shopping centre with great facilities including a pharmacy, medical centre and taxi rank.
The bus stance is right outside the complex and the villa is within 15/20 mins walking distance to both the beaches and the main resort areas.
The villa itself was spotlessly clean, very well equipped and we wanted for nothing utility wise.
The kids loved the pool so much they didn't want to go to the beach. Very spacious open plan courtyard and lounging area with shady nooks and three large parasols.
Peter, the owner is very helpful pre-booking and will do all he can to accommodate your needs and requirements.
We had a couple of maintenance issues soon after our arrival and these were dealt with virtually next day by Ray the manager/caretaker and Will the pool maintenance chap, both of whom are extremely friendly and helpful.
In conclusion, all I can say is we had a terrific stay at the villa and would love to revisit one day.

Very nice villa.
A very nice villa, well laid out with a lovely pool which was sadly unusable for a day due to low water level probably due to the extreme heat. The master bedroom had issues with the shower pump either not working or being very slow but I believe the owner is addressing this issue already. Overall a lovely villa and pool which got our 4 year old grandson properly swimming.

Perfect villa and location
This was the second year for myself and 6 friends staying at Villa Carmen. The villa as with last year was spotless and has all the facilities, equipment needed. The outside space is fabulous with plenty of sun and shade at all times throughout the day and a great pool which is well maintained.
Our flight got in late and the owner arranged for some essential items to be purchased for us which was much appreciated.
The location is perfect too, quiet area but easy walking to the restaurants and beach.

Stunning villa, in an ideal location to explore the surrounding area!
Being 4 adults and 6 children, the villa was extremely well stocked, plenty of everything - from towels and sunloungers, to plates and cups! Very comfortable place, all 10 of us slept like babies every night!
We had the pool heated which meant the kids pretty much stayed in it from morning to night, was impressed with the size, as have stayed in villas before where the size of the pool is a little disappointing once you arrive - can safely say this wasn't the case with the pool at Villa Carmen!
All in all it was a perfect Villa for 2 young families, plenty of space (even with 10) plenty of comfort and an outside space that has the sun on it all day!
Location wise was excellent, 10 min walk into the town ((even with kids) and a short walk to the nearby clock tower shopping centre, which has a well stock supermarket.
Would definately recommend and would definately use again .
Peter the owner is extremely responsive and very helpful, so to was Ray and his wife who meet you with the keys.

Amazing
From 1st booking to checking out Peter was brilliant. The Villa was amazing, it was spotless on arrival and had everything we needed throughout our stay. There was 7 adults, 2 teens & 1 10 month old baby and a fab time was had by all, the 2 teens really appreciated the Wii game in the back room. Had a small issue with one of the toilets which was fixed within 5 mins of texting Ray. Villa Carmen is close to everything you need including a large supermarket. Would highly recommend this villa & would defiantly stay here again. Thanks to the Hollis Family for letting us stay in your beautiful villa.

Excellent
We were two families of five and we had a great stay in the villa. It is very convenient for the beaches and town. The villa is very well equipped and the extra lounge for the kids was much appreciated. The wifi needs to be much better though - it only worked well for one device at a time and there is no parking at all at the villa. You have to leave cars at the end of the road which is fine because you can walk everywhere.

Lovely villa with a great outdoor space. Close to bars, restaurants and shops/supermarket.
We were a group of 10 adults and stayed in Villa Carmen from 11-18November. We were met by Ray on arrival and he answered our questions then left us to it. All in all we had a great week and I will summarise the good and not so good below.
PARKING We had two hire cars and parking in the cul-de-sac is limited. One particular local resident knocked on our door on 3 separate occasions to discuss this issue, telling us we should park in the garage (we had no access to the garage) as we had no legal right to park on the road! We moved the cars, then the resident said he felt guilty as we had moved them further than we needed to and said we could bring them closer! If you hire a car, beware of the parking difficulties, we got the distinct impression that the locals are fed up with tourists using their parking spaces.
Hot water- not always enough to go round, I only managed 2 hot showers in the week we were there.
General - a mirror in the bunk bed room would have been useful.
For the kitchen, a jug, a cheese grater, and some plastic glasses to use outside (rather than beakers)
Some extra bedding/blankets for those chillier nights.
The Villa was lovely and clean. The laundry facilities were well used and there was an extra fridge/freezer which we made full use of. The washing machine made a lound banging sound and didn’t always complete its cycle but this has been reported to the owners as they may not have been aware. The toilet seat in one of the downstairs bathrooms was broken when we arrived but we reported it to Ray and he came the next day and fitted a new one - thank you!
The outside space was in my opinion, the villa’s best feature. Plenty on chairs and sun loungers, and the comfy cane furniture which we make bed around to suit our activities. The pool was a good size. The bbq was great too! The villa is overlooked by neighbouring properties which some of our group didn’t like. We would relocate to the balcony to catch the last few rays of sun for the day with a glass of fizz - a lovely end to the day.
It’s a 10 minute walk to the shops, bars, restaurants & supermarket & approx 20-30 min stroll to the beach where we had cocktails and tapas.
Overall impression is that this lovely villa could be even better with just a little more attention to detail. It would probably be better suited to 6-8 adults as the bunk bed room is very small and the only upstairs bathroom is en suite. However it suited our needs and we had a great time!

The villa was well located for shops and the beach. It provided a home from home with all mod cons.
The villa provided spacious family accommodation, with modern appliances and all the little bits and pieces that make a holiday as relaxed as you'd wish. The outdoor space and pool were great for all the family. The shops were within easy walking distance, along with bars a restaurants. The beach was also close by and offered all sorts of water sports. Due to the failure of Monarch Airways our plans changed at the last minute and the owners could not have been more accommodating. I would recommend this villa and resort to anyone.

Fabulous
Fabulous villa. This villa has everything you need. To be honest there were some areas we hardly used as its so spacious. We ( 8 adults & 1 12 yr. old ) spent most of our time by the heated pool. Warm but still cool enough for a refreshing dip. The air-conditioned bedrooms with very comfy beds made for a very good sleep. We always ate out, ( Jaipur... best indian restaurant by far ) but the kitchen looks well equipped. The extra fridge freezer in the utility is perfect for storing the essential rehydration products. We had a hired car but really wasn't needed. Its a 5 minute walk to the nearest hiperdino for essentials & Its only a 10 minute walk to the nearest beach watering hole. Some of us did spend too much time at the Galera beach bar of an afternoon, sipping a cool refreshment with toes in the sand watching the world go by.... which is very slowly in Corralejo. From there its only another 5 minutes walk along the beach to the town centre. We had a couple of minor problems during our stay but Peter or Ray had them sorted out straight away. Loved the villa. Loved the holiday.
