About this cottage rental
This quirky 1930's cottage looks directly across to the open fields of Kuirau Park. Kuirau Park offers free Geothermal Attractions, thermal foot baths, beautiful gardens, childrens playground, open playing fields and is bordered by the Rotorua Aquatic Centre. The park is host to a busy Saturday morning local market. Plenty to enjoy here.
A short walk takes you to the City Centre, 'Eat Streat', shopping, restaurants, cafes, cinema and the lake front.
The cottage is tastefully furnished throughout and has the quirks and charms of an older building (creaking, sloping floors and all). The two good-sized bedrooms each boast Queen beds and the second bedroom provides a sofa bed for extra guests, a port-a-cot is stored on site.
The sunny living room is equipped with a smart TV, every room has its own heater to take the chill off any frosty mornings and fans to cool you down when the temperature rises.
The kitchen has a full sized stove/oven. Coffee, tea and some basic pantry items are provided
Special conditions:
There is a 2 night minimum stay - however if you wish to book for 1 night only a $25 fee will be added.
Our Rate per night is for up to 4 people, the cottage can sleep a maximum of 5 with the extra cost of $20 per person/per night (child under 12mths - no charge)
There is NO LAUNDRY on site but there are 2 Laundromats close by.
Off street parking for 1 vehicle with free street parking right out front
During the week a car grooming business operates from the workshop behind the house from 8.30am - 4.30pm. This creates no disturbance to the house but means the driveway beside the building needs to be kept clear during the hours of operation. The business is usually closed on week ends
EXTRAS:

I've stayed here a few time now and can't complain about anything. A nice cozy older house with a few squeaks. Beds are comfortable, kitchen's good and has most things, and is located close to CBD.
All in all, a good value stay.

This is my second stay at this property, and I must say this house definitely grows on you.
We had a very comfortable stay, the beds are comfortable, Kitchens has adequate facilities, Decent size lounge & bathroom. There is even a heater in every room, so very cozy. The floors do squeak, but not a problem for us.

This house is old but has loads character. Yes the floors are uneven & creak a bit, but the beds are comfortable, heaters are provided in most rooms, the kitchen has everything you need & it's situated in a central location.
The owner gave easy to follow instructions to check in & was very accommodating. I enjoyed my stay at this property.

Great stay, house was lovely and clean and so central. Would definitely stay again.

After booking and paying we were sent an email asking about supplying linen and cleaning at an extra cost. This meant when we were looking for accommodation the price in the listing was not accurate for comparisons. The floorboards creaked in most areas which meant you heard the early risers walking around the house.
The beds were uncomfortable.
The area was great for where we wanted to be.
Don't mean to sound ungrateful we would not book here again.

This cute Oldie House grew on us as we stayed. The place was super clean and organized. However a few more plates would be appreciated and newer frying pans.
The host was great! Location is perfect for all the attractions and walking distance to local hot pools.

Great cosy little cottage, reminded me of my Nan's house so I felt very much at home. The sloping floor was a bit of a giggle but it was perfect for us location wise, easy access to our events, shops, laundromat. Nicely stocked with condiments and toiletries, towels, plus fans and heaters depending on what season the day chose. Far enough away from the "aroma", if you're not keen on the sulphur smell I suppose. Would love to stay here again. Thanks Deborah for being a great host.
