The perfect location for the Peak District
My daughter & partner stayed in this lovely cottage for 3 nights whilst visiting family locally they loved it. Great to walking, running, great roast at the The Bulls Head, wonderful lunch at Devonshire Pilsley & a good pint at The Lamb in the village. Lovely pack from Trudi too. Definitely a place to return too.

Short and sweet (shop)
We really enjoyed the weekend break at this beautiful cottage. The space was incredibly clean and well organised with everything you would need on a mini break. On arrival we had a warm welcome and were made to feel very special and look after. The local pub across the road was cute and had very friendly locals to chat with, the gastro pub (more like a fine dining experience) just 2mins walk away is worth the trip up on it’s on, the food was spectacular. The location gave us a great base to explore the Peak District and we will be back.

Perfectly placed
Lovely little property which is perfectly placed for walking, cycling, visiting towns and villages or just staying in and relaxing. Welcome basket on arrival was a really nice touch. The property was spotlessly clean and the owner obviously goes to great lengths to ensure the guests are made to feel welcome. Overall, we had a great time and can highly recommend staying here.

Nee years eve
This was the perfect little cottage in a lovely quiet village. We wanted to spend NYE being quiet and lazy away from our busy life. This was exactly what the doctor ordered. Thankyou to Trudie for having this lovely cottage available for us. Happy New Year x

Small cottage in good location for two people who wish to visit the Peak District in Derbyshire. Not luxurious but with adequate provision for a comfortable stay.
No off road parking available.
Good pub restaurant available within 100 metres.

Lovely accommodation in a lovely village.
The cottage had everything you need for a great break away and was close to some very good walks and all of the major attractions the Peak District has to offer.
No problem parking your car right outside of the property and two good pubs in the village. Would definitely stay again in the future.

Perfect cosy cottage
The property was exactly as described in the ‘brochure’. Holymoorside is quite a large village on the outskirts of Chesterfield but still had a very rural feel. The cottage was beautifully clean and very tastefully decorated. The welcome pack was a lovely surprise. The kitchen had everything you needed to self cater but the proximity to Chesterfield meant that a takeway delivery was possible too. Communication with the owner was swift and very simple as was the arrival. She was on hand if we needed anything but not intrusive if all was good. Will certainly return.

Short stay
A good location not far from Chesterfield on the one side and the amazing Peaks on the other. Trudie provided a basket of essentials on arrival which was much appreciated and checked in with us to make sure we had everything we needed. Ideal for two for a few days away.

Compact cottage, just right for 2
Having stayed before we knew what to expect. Everything you need in the cottage. Comfortable bed , clean bedding , shower ,toilet and kitchen. A bit dusty around the edges, also shower plays up, going hot or cold whilst showering, could be more powerful .
Nice touch with welcome basket and flowers, but did not see the owner at all whilst we were there . Would be nice to have had contact, could then have told her about the shower.

We had a really lovely stay in this small clean cottage in Holymoorside. There are two pubs nearby for a meal or drink. We played golf nearby at Chesterfield golf club. Sadly had to leave early due to family problems but would definitely stay again

Compact but cool
The property is fairly compact but has plenty of character and there are some nice little touches by the owners that make you feel welcomed. Minor downside is the small shower and water pressure but it was clean and functional so did the job. All in all, very pleasant and would recommend

Great little property
This is a lovely one bed property great for a couple or solo traveler with all the facilities you could ask for. The location is just 15 mins from the peaks areas and a short hop to Chesterfield ( even a bus service from the village).
Clean and comfy and Trudie the host provided a super welcome package for us and a great welcome. Very nice all in.
Will definitely consider staying there again.

Old shop cottage
Easy to find, excellent directions. A warm welcome from Trudi who met us when we arrived. A thoughtful basket and supply of some essentials and some tasty non-essentials was most welcome. The village has a good shop and we liked the Lamb Inn for a cold beer on a hot day. The cottage is comfortable with everything you need to self cater and felt like a home. Good access to explore the Peaks from with good walks from the house if you don't want to drive every day. We would recommend a stay.
