Big tea cups. Comfy bed (even though a camp bed). Nice bathroom, good shower except..... (see negs) Free car parking. Pleasant woman behind the bar who checked me in.
Radiator thermostatic valve broken, radiator blasting away TOO HOT. Opened all the windows, but as its on the high street, very noisy.
Shower head rail not fixed properly (fell off during shower) and toilet seat loose.. very big step up the shower cubicle.

The bar and the location. The bathroom in the double room was ok as it was new except the flooring.
We booked 2 rooms one a single which was run down and dirty, the second was a double, the bathroom had recently been refurbished but the flooring wasn't finished, the room was dirt especially the walls and the curtains didn't cover the window properly.
The rooms need a damn good clean and redecorating.
Finally the beds in both rooms were horrendous.

The stairs and no lift

Nice and easy to get to. About 10min walk to a underground station. Despite being a pub, it wasn’t loud at all (I think being at the top floor helped with this! Very good value for money for London.
The furniture is slightly outdated and the shower could do with some TLC, but otherwise all good!

location
no toilet in room. no lift (had to walk up 5 flights of stairs with suitcase). access from outside building (don’t need a key to access) so anyone can just walk in and up to where bedrooms and toilets are so didn’t feel that safe. bed wasn’t stable.
