Very nice but hard as hell to get in and actually book the place or make any changes or accommodations
The lack of actual human help and no one to assist with checking in or out . The deposit was more then the stay and check in long until 4 but checkout is at 11 and so many fees

Beautiful, historic, well maintained.
My room (my bed) was on top of the loud speaker in the bar downstairs. Could not sleep. Left the hotel to stay somewhere else. Could not find a way to communicate with staff (not on-site) so I could not try to switch rooms.

Location
Tiny bathroom and no shelves.

The property has ZERO soundproofing. We heard every conversation of the people in the rooms around us. They kept us up till 3am having a party. The furniture is old and used covers to try to extend the life when they should be replaced. Wood table is so scarred and stained we didn’t want to place anything on it. Just gross.
Can not reach ANYONE for help. Sent multiple emails about the parking before we arrived and zero response.

The location of this hotel is great. We parked our car and never used it once. We walked to the beach and the pier both days and it was a nice stroll even with three small kids. Starbucks was a quick walk and has many other options nearby. The hotel exceeded our expectations and was very spacious. Will definitely recommend and stay here again in the future.

Romantic and practical. Chic and boutique. Central to everything Long Beach.
The whole “online application/deposit, paying on line, etc for a same day book and check in was a little harrowing ….

What I liked most was the location, and everything was at a walking distance.
One thing that was different for me was the self check in. But I wouldn't say it's something that I disliked.

The locations was amazing and the room was adorable
The bed was a little too high, I had to.jump and climb to get into bed

I loved the old style wood and big doors. The room itself was modern and sized about right for us. Very clean! Very much liked no contact check-in, but lack of staff presented an issue. We didn't have anyone to call when it got noisy and we couldn't get a hold of anyone until late Monday regarding a missing item that was since gone (we left on Saturday).
Through no fault of their own, other guests were outrageously loud... not just a little, A LOT, and it occurred between 3a and 6a. I loved the old wood stairs, but they made the noise even worse. With no staff on premises, there was nothing we could do.

This is an historic hotel no elevator location in Long Beach is outstanding. Had a great time watching the filming of lone Star 911 from it's balcony
I personally like everything about the hotel but I'm an historian freak

The property is beautiful. modernized but retains the character of the original building.
the mattress was a bit thin.

The location is lively! Everything is within walking distance. 10 min walk to the beach.
The walls might be a little thin. I definitely heard my upside neighbor and her three kids running around all night.
