Spacious house with great gathering areas, close to attractions, and responsive owners. Ideal for families seeking ample space and convenience.

The house is beautiful! Plenty of room for all of us. 6 adults a 3 year old and 1 year old and a 10 year old. Nice backyard to play in! Very close to walk to Nubble Light House where you can get food and ice cream. We liked the walk to Long Sands and Short Sands beach. Great place

Perfect summer vacation house. Probably much better for those traveling by car with no linens or towels at the house. Everything else was perfect for us. Would rent again!

Enjoyed the home very much but wish there was air conditioning

The house was great - very spacious which allowed everyone to have their space when needed. The main floor was perfect for gathering as well. We had 12 people in our group, ranging in ages from 1 to 80. The house was within walking distance to Fox’s Lobster House, Dunnes ice cream and the lighthouse which was extremely convenient. Communication with the owners was good, answering questions promptly. There was no AC which wasn’t a huge issue for us but may have been if it was 80-90 all week.

We enjoyed our stay very much! We loved being in the neighborhood close to Nubble Light and also to Dunne’s.
Both beaches were fantastic, a short distance away.
The cottage was wonderful for a family stay with lots of space. We enjoyed the large gathering space with kitchen, family area and 2 decks! Lots of great meals enjoyed on the decks! The weather was perfect!

A wonderful week and York Beach. House could accommodate our group (11) and owner was excellent communicating!

We had rainy weather the first couple of days, and it stayed muggy but cool. We cooked most dinners in the kitchen and found everything we needed.
The house is spacious and with 4 floors there was lots of room to spread out.

Overall the house felt great. There was a lot of natural light. The main floor open concept was lovely. It was nice to have a separate living space for the kids to go. Fortunately, I read a review of a previous renter that gave a tip to take extra blankets... I'm glad we did as there were only very light blankets and no comforters or bedspread provided. For future renters: 1. if you are sensitive to synthetic fragrances be sure to let them know ahead of time so they can use different cleaning products/laundry detergent. 2. the chef's kitchen - I'll say that the small frying pans are deteriorating toxic Teflon, they are not set up for lobster as it stated in the description (ex - they had a couple of nutcrackers, not lobster crackers, no ramekin's for butter), 3. missing a complete set of measuring cups and spoons, 4. missing normal size cereal bowls, 5. no dish drying rack. The neighbors were very loud... they weren't even outside - but through their open windows it was as if they were inside our house. It made it so the 3rd-floor master couldn't have their windows open for sleeping. AND with all that said - it was still great and we had lots of space. The outside shower was AMAZING!

My family and I were late to book a vacation property this season, and we were so lucky that Gary and Sue had a last minute cancelation to let us book with them! They were so accommodating and the property was gorgeous. The house had 3 floors of bedrooms, which was perfect for us so each family pretty much had their own floor. The common area was very spacious and clean. Great location, walking distance to the lighthouse and beaches. The decks make for a great place to have your morning coffee. We had a 1 year old up to a 70 year old and every one was very happy!
You will want to bring sheets/towels (including hand towels, kitchen clothes, etc.) and bedding if you need anything more than a light blanket, Beds were comfy. It does get very warm in the house during the day, but at night with the drop in temps and breeze from the ocean it was perfect. Fans in every room too. It is very bright in the house with no curtains which did make it a little difficult for my 1 year old to want to nap, but we made it work. For our stay we noticed that there wasn't any extra toilet paper or paper towels (just one roll per bathroom), so we did buy some more in case we needed it which wasn't a problem.
The home is perfect for a large family, we would definitely stay again!

We had a wonderful time. The house was spacious, comfortable, clean. We enjoyed our walks to the lighthouse. It was a short drive to Short Sands beach which was beautiful and enjoyed by all.

Very roomy property, with terrific views of a piece of the ocean and Nubble Light (only about 4 short blocks away) from the 3rd floor master. Home was nicely furnished and in a very quiet spot. Easy drive to center of York Beach and to the expansive Long Sands Beach, where we spent the days on the beach, enjoying the water and beach games. Owners always got back to us promptly about our inquiries.

Very spacious home with bedrooms on 3 levels. Nice screened in porch and multiple decks with ocean views. Communication with owners was great. Good location within walking distance to both Short and Long Sands.

Nubble Stay
This was such an amazing property with a great location. The 4-level floor plan gave plenty of space for our large party that stayed there. Having a combination of children and adults can always be difficult but in this space with all the different living areas everyone had room to spread out and enjoy our vacation.
The owners were easy to get in touch with and quick to respond. We would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful Home!
We had a great stay at this property. There was tons of room to be spread out which was great with a few families. The table big enough for 10 was a huge bonus as we were always able to sit together. The backyard was sizable enough to play yard games. The deck on the main living floor had a nice patio set and you could see the water from there. It was really convenient having a bathroom on each floor and having the additional outdoor shower (with a foot rinse part as well). The house is a short walk to the Nubble, Fox’s, and Dunne’s. One drawback was that the master bedroom has blinds on the windows but one entire wall is a triple sized glass slider with no curtain so you had limited privacy in the master bedroom. Guests will want to bring blankets. The blankets at the house are super light and don’t provide much warmth so make sure to bring that bedding as well. The owners were very responsive to any questions we had and we had a really great week there. We would definitely recommend this property to others!

Lovely week-long stay
Everything was perfect in the house and contacting Susan and Gary was super easy. We had everything we needed and everyone felt right at home here. Hopefully we will be back for future stays!

Despite the weather we had a great time . The house was nicely decorated and very roomy.
Renting was very easy and the owners were very responsive to any questions we had. We had 1 problem that was quickly resolved and couldn't have asked for a better response. The owners are very pleasant and aim to please.

Beautiful home
We had such a great stay at this house! We were a very last minute booking, total of 11 people ranging from 60’s to 2 years old.
The neighborhood is ideal if you want to stay away from the crowding and noise. It was a very nice and doable walk to the Nubble lighthouse and to Dunnes ice cream. Some reviews said they walked to short or long sands beach, I however would not make the walk with children, there’s no sidewalks and it would be too far for little ones. We went to Ogunquit almost every day which is about a 15-20 minute ride depending on traffic.
The house was beautiful, hard wood floors throughout, updated kitchen appliances, TVs, laundry room. The master suite has a wonderful deck that you can see the lighthouse from. There is also a pyramid bunk bed on the top floor which wasn’t shown in the pictures but it was a great surprise to fit people comfortably.
Plenty of dishes, pots, pans, silverware in the open kitchen floor plan.
There is no a/c but we didn’t need it. The house is all windows and has ceiling fans and box fans if needed. Some things were a little dusty but if you’re going to nit pick that kind of stuff, you shouldn’t be renting a house. The owners were very responsive and wonderful to work with if we had any questions.
I would absolutely stay here again and would recommend to anyone.

Wonderful house
We had two families, 10 people and were totally comfortable. The house was clean which was especially great during Covid. The location was perfect, walking distance to nubble lighthouse. The owner’s were easy to deal with and very responsive to any questions. We had a great week and would definitely recommend this house!

Great Home Even During a Tropical Storm
Very desirable, spacious and nicely finished four level home with all the amenities. My wife, daughters, boyfriends and other family members all remarked about the quality of the home. Walk to Nubble Light, seafood restaurant, ice cream shop or bike around the peninsula. Beaches within 5 minute drive. Thoroughly enjolyable.

Dirty, Unsanitary, Uncomfortable
Our family booked this property for 4th of July for three nights. We packed up and left as soon as we woke up after the first night. We noticed cleanliness issues as soon as we walked in, and when we contacted the owners they blamed us for being the first renters of the season, and then stopped communicating.
We spent the first 3 hours after our arrival buying cleaning supplies (the owners do not provide anything except a sponge that looked to be 3 years old) and cleaning the house because it was filthy! Even with the COVID pandemic it was clear that the rental had not been professionally cleaned before our arrival.
This home has a lot of potential- it is large and in a good location...but the positives end there. The condition of the house was filthy- dirty floors, dirty walls, pots and pans caked with dust and grime, the hood over the stove was covered in grease and dust. The baseboard heating and window sills were full of dust bunnies, cobwebs and dead bugs. The "charming" outdoor shower is actually a falling down shack totally overgrown with weeds. The indoor shower had a cheap, flimsy liner that was ripped from the rings and had multiple holes.
The furniture throughout the home is a hodge-podge of old and damaged furniture.
The decks would be a great place to sit if the owners provided deck furniture that was useable. Instead they provide old, deteriorating plastic chairs with moldy cushions that don't fit the chairs. The plastic adirondack chair used at the only outdoor table (imagine using a low Adirondack chair at a dining table...) was so old that green plastic dust particles covered my 2 year old son after he climbed onto it.
Don't plan on sleeping past 5am either since the bedrooms do not have shades or curtains. The neighbors and anyone walking by have a clear unobstructed view inside the master bedroom making sleeping or changing clothes extremely creepy.
Bottom line, these owners do not care about your experience. There is absolutely no effort by these owners to make the rental comfortable or welcoming. From the cleanliness to the furniture to the amenities this place is a disaster. I'd STRONGLY recommend staying elsewhere.

Great place to stay!
It accommodated all 12 of us. We would suggest curtains and a dehumidifier for the basement.

Beautiful large home in great location on the Nubble
This was a perfect house for our group of 3 adults and 4 kids of various ages. 3 floors and 4-5 BRs so people can spread out if needed. The main living room/kitchen is spectacular - beautifully re-done recently by the looks of it. The kitchen is outstanding with top of the line range/oven. Beautiful views from the top floor master suite including ocean and the lighthouse. Great location minutes from Long Sands or Short Sands. Nice quiet neighborhood. Only improvements we would suggest would be a basement bathroom and curtains on the 3rd floor windows. Sun is up early in June! The owners were very helpful - texting us key info and making sure we had everything we needed. Thank you!

Wonderful accommodations!
My parents and my siblings met in Maine to celebrate a big birthday. The house was very clean, spacious for entertaining, and in walking distance to two beaches, the town of York, and the Nubble Lighthouse. Would definitely stay here again. Owners were helpful, responsive, and easy to deal with. Everything we needed and more.

Nice home, but not very clean and lacked basic necessities.
Overall, we had a wonderful vacation. The house is beautiful and in a nice location. However, it was surprisingly dirty considering the cleaning fee for the property. We were very disappointed by the fact that it lacked basic necessities like toilet paper and hand soap. This was a real issue after a 4 hour car ride with 5 children. I gladly would have paid a little more to ensure that these type of necessities were there upon our arrival. We have rented many vacation properties over the years and never have we been this disappointed in the overall experience. In addition, the quality of kitchen tools, such as knifes, cutting boards and pans, was subpar. The beds were extremely hard and uncomfortable. The livingroom furniture was dingy and needed steam cleaning. The physical structure was beautiful, but the homeowners could do more to provide a sense of hospitality.

Cousins on vacation :)
Location, location, location!
This enormous, beautiful home was perfect for our group (7 adults, 2 kids). So much space, so much light, and the breeze!!!
Located a very short walk from the lighthouse, where the kids could climb on the rocks, and a quick drive to either beach, but nowhere near the noise & crowds of downtown, it is the perfect spot. And, we may have walked to Dunne's for ice cream every night.. It's also an excellent starting point for a jog around the Nubble.
The kitchen was huge & had everything we needed. The porches were ideal for morning coffee & evening cocktails. The backyard is big enough for a game of catch or frisbee. The dining room table fit all 9 of us comfortably. The wifi was always working well. The outdoor shower was great for washing all the sand off the kids. All appliances seemed brand new & worked flawlessly.
It was a fabulous vacation!!

Beautiful week, beautiful home!
What a perfect location for a vacation! My sisters family and I thoroughly enjoyed the ability to walk to nubble light, let the kids climb on the rocks, and being so close to York.
The house itself is beautiful! The decks alone on the second floor are worth the trip. It was a very warm week, and even though we were concerned about not having air conditioning, the breeze was so nice that it didn't even matter.
The kitchen was a perfect size for a large group, and the outdoor shower is a great way to rinse off the sand before coming into the house after a long day at the beach. The house really is a perfect size for vacationing. There is room for everyone to be together, or, if you need your space, there is room to disappear! I would recommend this to anyone traveling to York with a large group.
