About this house rental
You will love this beach house. It's very comfortable and beautifully decorated, plenty of room for all. Full sun facing backyard. After each guest, the home is thoroughly cleaned and sanitized with a very experienced vacation rental cleaning crew. Self check in. it’s located in a quiet neighborhood. It’s not suitable for loud gatherings. Guests must be quiet in the backyard after 10
Entertain your family and friends by barbecuing, relaxing in the hot tub, roasting marshmallows in the gas fire pit while being surrounded by beautiful mature tropical landscaping. Let the good times begin with the large collection of bikes, helmets, Surf and boogie boards, wet suits, beach chairs, coolers, back packs, No need to lug around your baby gear. I have it all at the house. Pack in play, baby gates, booster, two high chairs, training wheel bike, bike kid carrier, child plates and utensils, children's books, dvd's and sand toys.
Very well stocked kitchen with top of the line appliances. Large living room with vaulted ceilings, 8 seat dining table, & huge couch. Very spacious inside. Large H.D. flat screen in the living room and master bedroom. Personal WIFI in house and yard.
Outdoor seating. Game table with games, puzzles and books and gas fireplace in the family room.
The best location in town. 1 1/2 blocks to Natural Bridges State Beach Park. (famous for thousands of monarch butterflies) and a two mile walking/bike path along the ocean called "West Cliff." The "Swift Street Courtyard" is close to the home it's where you’ll find winery tasting rooms, the Santa Cruz Mountain brewery, Humble sea brewery, Venus Sprits distillery, yoga studios, New Leaf Market (a mini-Whole Foods) and plenty of restaurants. (The West End Tap and Kitchen being one of my favorites) The Santa Cruz Boardwalk and wharf is approximately two miles away.
Upstairs is the master bedroom with a king bed, private full bathroom(separate tub and shower), balcony and cable T.V. In Bedroom number two is a King bed. Two twin beds are upstairs in bedroom number 3 with walk in closet. There is a full bathroom in between the two rooms. Downstairs ground level is a bedroom with a queen bed. Next to it is a full bathroom. The couch in the family room pulls out into a twin futon. There is a mattress topper on futon couch for extra comfort. I have one cot, one king blow up bed, two twin blow beds and a pack in play, that can be placed anywhere in the home.
Located in a small quiet court with plenty of parking. The home is safer for children playing out front, affordable and more private than most ocean front homes which have cars and people constantly going by.
The house is very safe with smoke detectors, carbon monoxide alarm, first aid kit and fire extinguisher. Everything in the home is well maintained and up to code.
I personally go to the vacation home between guests to insure it's in top shape. The home includes a host. Susan lives in the neighborhood and can quickly assist with any unforeseen problems that might arise with the home. She will drop by and introduce herself, you can ask her questions about the home or get recommendations on great places to see.
Downtown San Jose and the San Jose Airport are approximately 30 minutes away. The San Francisco Airport is 60 minutes away, as is Carmel, Monterey, and Pebble Beach. Downtown San Francisco is 80 minutes away.

The location is great. The walk to the beach is a little longer than I thought it would be, but our 5 year old was able to handle it. The common area had enough sitting space for all 7 of us and the bedrooms and bathrooms were comfortable and convenient. There were lots of books and puzzles for the kids. The host responded immediately and helpfully to any problems or questions.

Four nights with reuniting sisters from California and New Jersey (here for a wedding in Napa Valley). The house was perfect and as advertisied. One small issue with a toliet which the landlord resolved in an hour after a quick phone call. Would stay here again in a heart beat!

Geoff and Sue were very helpful and communicative. The house is very comfortable, and it is a short walk to the beach. It is also a short drive to get groceries or to downtown. We loved the quiet of this neighborhood and the access to beach and butterfly garden! A great house for our family of 10.

The house was very nice and comfortable. It had everything we needed. A fort and swing for my grandson. Beautiful backyard. It was close to the beach, grocery stores and quant places to eat nearby. The location is perfect. A five minute walk down to Natural Bridges Beach and the views of the ocean are spectacular. There are lots of trails to go look at monarch butterflies. Everything worked perfectly in this house… The hot tub, the fire table, and the barbecue. We will definitely rent this house again!

Location is great - so close to the ocean. The house has a nice outside area. But the interior needs some attention, seriously. The knives were so dull they were scary to use. The couch has a huge unappealing stain on it. Furniture, decor, appliances, etc., all just felt very old and in need to replacement.

We had every age you can image, from toddler, teen to adult staying at the house. Ten of us in total and we had a blast. We enjoyed the fire pit, Jacuzzi, bikes, and boards. We walked to the beach daily and even walked to the Boardwalk. The stove, fridge, & couch are large and could hold everything we needed for the week.
The only thing the house needed was a few cosmetic updates (paint, new carpet, maybe a rug downstairs so you can sit on the floor) but that is it. The dryer was broken when we arrived but the nicest repair guy came and fixed it. No problem.
I didn't get the usual email through VRBO for arrival and was getting a little nervous about it, but then received a text (that I almost did not respond to because I thought it was a scam) about needing to speak to me via phone. With a little more context in the initial text I would have understood it was Sue, the house manager, who is amazing! She gave recommendations on where to go based on the age of the kids and was texting updates about the dryer repair man's visit. Everyone needs a Sue when traveling:):):) Thank you again for a great memorable trip!

Awesome house
This house was perfect for us. It is a little beach funky, clean, well equipped, & very homey. We loved it. The kids (2 teens & a 6 yr old) ended up having movie nights & sleeping on the couches in the living room. Plenty of space for the 6 adults. We used the bikes & the walk to the beach was easy. Lots of beach stuff & the hot tub relaxing.Susan was very friendly & accommodating. She recommended The Crows Nest for our 48th wedding anniversary. It was amazing. Great trip.

Fun for the while Family
We had a great time at this super comfortable home. The location is amazing. There is so much to do, we went to the boardwalk, marine center, and natural bridges beach. All of these fun experiences are just minutes away. Thank you for a wonderful family vacation, everyone had a blast!

Booked last minute, and received a welcome call from property manager, telling me a few things and checking in with me (nice service). The house is very comfortable, large and clean. Pillows were top notch, beds super comfortable, very clean home and loved the backyard (hot tub, bbq pit and just chilling out there). Walking distance to a perfect. beach (no dogs though), but the older teens loved biking down to the pier and exploring other beaches. Wish we could've stayed longer!

Only suggestion I have is rickety play structure in the backyard might be replaced by some fake grass or plants? All in all, great place!

Excellent location in Santa Cruz
We had a successful, comfortable family reunion at Geoff's house in north SC. The property is spacious enough for everybody to spread out or gather together. The beds and linens were comfortable, there were plenty of towels, and the kitchen was pretty well stocked. The location was the best feature of the house. We walked to coffee many mornings, we ran or walked along W Cliff Dr, and we explored the monarch trail, marine center and Wilder Ranch along with a farmers market, a playground and a few breweries. The outdoor space was the second best part of the house. We used the hot tub daily, had many BBQ dinners and used the outdoor seating for games or relaxing around the fire pit. The house itself is spacious but fairly dated for the price. My suggestions for improvement would be an easy-to-clean, more comfortable couch and a few new beach toys and chairs. Overall, we had a great stay!
