We recently enjoyed some quality family time at this stunning lakefront home for the 4th year in a row. Weâre hesitant to share how wonderful it is because weâd like to keep it our secret! The home is private and quiet with quality furnishings. Very comfortable beds and furniture. Everything you need is there including special touches like a basket of hand towels with toothbrushes, razors, shaving cream, shampoo, conditioner etc. It was warm and cozy for a November vacation and looks like the perfect summer vacation spot with fire pit and dock with kayaks and canoes. We would definitely recommend this property for a rental.

This is a BEAUTIFUL home! The property is private and on a lake. We have visited in November (3 years in a row), so we did not swim or use the dock or boats or firepit or lawn games or gas grill or smoker. We saw bald eagles, loons, and different types of ducks. This home is very comfortable and welcoming-comfortable beds and furniture including a heated massage recliner, jacuzzi tub, fireplace and woodstove. The kitchen is spacious and has all of the tools you need to make your own meals. There is even a popcorn machine and espresso machine. There are tvs with Roku in all of the bedrooms and loads of board games. The host is easy to work with, check in and out is simple. I hesitate to give too glowing of a review because I would like to keep it as our family's secret place!

If Heaven on Earth exists, then âLoons Nestâ is that place!
We wanted to book a beautiful, peaceful and secluded spot to relax and get away from the craziness of our everyday lives, but not too far from shopping, restaurants, and adventure! We found all that and a whole lot more with Loons Nest.
The owners were wonderful from the very 1st day I contacted them, all the way until after we checked out. Not only were they very kind to me, but they were always quick with responding to any questions that we had.
The home was extremely comfortable, beautifully decorated, and was supplied with EVERYTHING you will ever need and a whole lot more!
This was an amazing experience for my family and me, and it is one in which I will NEVER forget! Thank you for the wonderful memories! We hope we will have the opportunity to come back some day!

This is the dream home we wish we could live in all the time. The location is great, the view of the water is spectacular. Martha is a delight as a host, and the attention to every detail of our stay was more then we could as for.
Nothing about our stay was left to chance, by Martha and her Husband. This place is a WOW!. even for "Batman".

Surprised husband with a stay here for our anniversary. Did not disappoint! Beautiful cozy cabin with all the amenities you could ask for and more! Hosts are super to correspond with - friendly and responsive. Would definitely stay here again. Thanks for sharing your lovely home with us!

The house and dĂŠcor really blends a rustic cabin feel with the comforts and convenience of modernity: adjustable beds, electric recliners, expresso and pop corn machines on the one hand, juxtaposed with natural wood walls, exposed beams, animal furs and big windows that fill up the open floor plans and loft portions of the home with in lots of natural light (sometime too early!) on the other.
The kitchen was well stocked with all the tools you needed to cook, which is important because there's not too much in the area in terms of opportunities to dine out.
The yard was great we were able to use the host's cornhole set and there was plenty of room to break out our mitts and throw a baseball around. There was also a small ping pong table in the basement, which could be used for air hockey as well but we couldn't find those pieces.
My wife and daughter took the host provided two-person kayak out and my daughter took the solo kayak out a number of times. We were disappointed to discover the stand up paddle board was broken prior to our arrival, but these things happen. Floating in the lake was also fun but I agree with the owners recommendation to bring water shoes .
The fishing off of the dock was terrific and we spent a lot of time with our lines in the water, pulling in sunnies and perch, though we did have to compete with the loons a few times.
We got to enjoy the fire pit and enjoy smores, and sitting on the porch at night was quiet, cool, and enjoyable.

The pristinely located cabin is beautifully maintained and very well appointed - comfortable beds, well-stocked kitchen and spacious. As for fun - it had it all - fishing, kayaking, canoeing, ping pong, fire pit, etc. We went on two awesome hikes in the area and made it to Bar Harbor for the day. Unquestionably 5/5!

This property, inside and out, was just as described and photographed in the listing. The home was spacious, clean, carefully and comfortably furnished, with a very well-equipped kitchen. The property was on a lovely, small and quiet lake. It had a dock and adirondack chairs on both the dock and the lawn. Kayaks were provided.
At the end of a 2-mile long dirt road, the property is very private and neighbors respectful. The owners were very caring, helpful and responsive. It was a delight to interact with them.

We are repeat renters to this amazing cabin. We hit the jackpot when we found this rental. Only 10 mins from all our Maine family / friends and the perfect getaway for our 3 city kids. The hosts are beyond helpful, responsive and kind. All the amenities you would ever need is already there for you. It definitely has been our home away from home.

Maine Treasure
Loonâs Nest was exactly what we were looking for on a trip from the West Coast to Maine. The house was beautiful, in terrific condition, stocked with everything we could ask for, and the property wonderfully peaceful. I practically had the pond (which to us Californians would be considered a good-sized lake) all to myself when I went out kayaking â aside from a handful of loons, whose calls were so much fun to hear. Also, the property owners were quick with a response the only time I needed to reach out to them (pre-trip). Thank you for a wonderful experience!

Beautiful Location!
Good communication with owner - addressed all questions and concerns we had prior to and during our visit. Nice decor and special touches throughout - a few extras (makings for s'mores, massage chair, jacuzzi tub, commercial popcorn maker!) We enjoyed fishing off the dock and loved listening to the loons. Fire pit is in a great location. Although no curtains on some of the windows, property is very private and doesnât face neighbors. Thank you for sharing your home with us!

Wonderful quiet getaway!!
Our stay at the lakeside cabin in Sangerville was perfect! The cabin was so cozy and well appointed, and we were able to really relax and unwind. Also really appreciate the surplus of really great firewood - made our daily evening fires easy to get going and really added to our stay! We would absolutely come back to this property in the future!!

Peaceful getaway
We spent 4 days at this property and it was blissful! Tucked away in the woods with beautiful views of the pond, the location was just what we hoped for. We were glad to have studded snow tires as it is at the end of about 2 miles of woods road, and it is February in Maine! The place was spotless and everything we needed or wanted was there. After getting settled in, it truly felt like home. A soak in the jetted tub was heavenly! We also enjoyed a cozy fire in the wood stove in the master bedroom. The kitchen was well-stocked with utensils and high-end cookware, and several blenders (?) and other small appliances. Would definitely recommend and consider returning!

What a place!
The property was absolutely everything it was shown to be and more! After a trek down the winding (well maintained) dirt road you pop out at this gem. Extremely clean and has everything you need and then some. The bed in the master bedroom is hands down the most comfortable thing Iâve ever slept in. Plenty of fishing (my husband caught large and small mouth bass, blue gill & pickerel off the dock) and a beautiful covered porch to enjoy the views. This was a special trip for us as we plan on becoming Mainers ourselves and the house just set the experience over the top.

THE place to "rough it" in the woods
My husband and I spent 10 nights at Loon's Nest. It was exactly what we wanted: fishing, relaxation, wildlife (loved the loons) in a modern well furnished, well supplied home. Had a few glitches with entry and internet, but Martha was quick to provide help. Husband did catch and release fishing--caught bass, yellow perch, pickerel, cat fish on 8 lb. braided line--one large fish broke the line!

The home is perfectly located on a beautiful quiet lake. Plenty of yard to grill and play games. The house itself has absolutely everything you need! Itâs literally the perfect vacation get away. If it happens to rain, there are plenty of board games and a ping pong table downstairs which for us turned into a nightly activity! Definitely do a moose safari, that was a lot of fun. Owners are quick to answer any questions or concerns you may have. I highly recommend this rental, we will be back!!

Wonderful lakeside cabin!
Had a great time! As soon as we stepped in to the home we were so pleased. Looked and smelled super clean. We put our food in fridge and got down to the dock, proceeded to get into vacation mode. It was easy! Location is great, very rural, which we like. Walking the dirt road was peaceful and surrounded by a whole lot of nothing other than woods and fields. The lawn games provided were appreciated and used by my family a lot. Fun! Beds were super comfy and the kitchen had everything one needed to make meals and space to spread out and enjoy. Every amenity really was here and we used them all. Cozy ambiance in the cabin with all the lights and candles. Lots of porch sitting, campfires and smores, grilling, swimming, floating and good family times all around. Saw bald eagles and the views from dock were pretty. Very quiet. Almost nobody on the lake until Friday night. We really never left! It was a little sad when the week was done. Thanks for sharing your home and making it feel like it was ours. I would definitely return.

This was a very special trip for us since our son is graduating from Nursing School this upcoming week and we wanted to make brigs a special time for him. The house was everything anyone could ask for and more. It was one of the most beautifully built and decorated homes we have ever stayed in. The lake was perfect and I the supplies within the home were endless. Our son caught large mouth bass and we saw endless Turkey and a Beaver. The hosts were beyond kind and responded to every need and questions that we had. They were so caring and we could not have asked for anything more. We only had 2 small issues and nothing that had to do with the property- one was none of the trails were open so I would definitely book a week later next year and we wanted to make sure the house was spotless because that iis how we found it so the kind housekeeper came a bit earlier than we expected her but she was very sweet and we were glad that we cleaned up so well. When I say this house is perfect in every way - I mean it is !!We cannot wait to return and we are so grateful to the hosts for making this trip so special. I donât honk my words can do this hone justice â¤ď¸PS The kitchen is incredibly well stocked!
