Guest Book: Message dated 8/9/2006 11:53 AM Central Daylight Time: Just wanted to let you know what a fabulous time we had at your wonderful, wonderful Villa – Casa Passalacqua -- we spent a wk there and it wasn’t enough for me – We had a group of nine and all accommodations were excellent – very private. The pool area is exactly as described – which was perfect for us and very clean, maintained daily. The maid service was also excellent – very prompt and friendly. There is nothing we can say except we had a most wonderful family vacation – exactly what we were looking for – just to sit, relax and enjoy each others company, Location is good very easy access and seemed to be safe area – walking distance to beach and main avenue. Again, it was fabulous and we will definitely return to Casa Passalacqua – hopefully in the very near future. Thank you --- Belinda Santos

The location was amazing. Everything was within walking distance. The property itself was as advertised and was clean. Great communication with the host and property manager.

Our family enjoyed a week at this property for Spring Break. We are a group of 3 couples and one baby. The home is spacious and was more than roomy enough for all of us. The baby even enjoyed her own room which was situated across the hall from her parents bedroom. There is a large top deck with lounge chairs, a comfy seating area, and a table with chairs that really isn’t obvious from the pictures in the listing. On that top deck there is a grill as well, which we used a couple of times to grill burgers while looking out on the ocean. The jacuzzi was a great place to relax after sunning on the beach. The jacuzzi is not heated, but that was ok because it provided a cool retreat after a day in the sun. Elenora was quick to respond to all of our questions when booking and her property manager, Bruno, took great care of us when we arrived. He was very quick to respond to all of our texts and went out of his way to provide a high chair and Pack N Play crib for the baby. Bruno also made sure we had plenty of drinking water, which arrived at the front door like magic! The beds were very comfortable and all of the bedrooms had an adjoining bathroom with exception to the bedroom on the main floor. The neighborhood is quiet and felt very safe. The closest access to the beach is a short walk away, and maybe a 10 min walk to the 5th ave shopping/ferry area. If we have the chance to visit Playa del Carmen again we would not hesitate to stay at Casa Passalacqua! Perfecto!

Was close to the beach and within walking to anything you would need for your day to day

The property was perfect for our family of five and two friends. Bathrooms with four of the bedrooms, and an additional bathroom next to the downstairs bedroom made life much more enjoyable for showering etc. Everyone had their own space. Every rooms has fans and AC that works perfectly. Bruno the property manager has excellent communication, great tips on who to use for excursions, and helps immediately with any issue that arises. The top floor outside is perfect for relaxing and enjoying the sunsets. The pool level is also nice for hanging out and enjoying the outdoors. The pool is small for a large group but perfect for a few people to hang out in at a time. We loved how close the property is to town.
Every day we walked to the edge of fifth street in less than five minutes. The location is excellent! This isn't a high dollar luxury home, it is still a home in Mexico, which we loved. The laundry facility is outside and around the side of the house and down some stairs. We are used to taking our laundry to the laundry place, so for us, this was nice to be able to do our own laundry, but it took me a couple of days to acclimate to having to go outside at all our hours of the day to flip flop laundry. At the end of the two weeks, I didn't think twice about it. You can see the ocean from the top level, which is wonderful. The beach is a two minute or less walk through the neighborhood to a gorgeous spot to be in the water. We would definitely stay here again.

We had a wonderful stay at this property. It was very close to the beach in a community with security. We made use of private chef services and drivers to take us to and from the airport as well as around the area to shop and socialize. The house manager Bruno was very attentive, responsive and helpful to us.
Thank you so much Elenora!

This house was everything that was listed. It was walking distance to the beach and 5th ave. The house was spacious and comfortable for 5 adults. We loved the pool for late night talk sessions. The house manager Bruno was amazing. He answered all our questions and made sure we got what we needed. If you don't want to walk there are taxi's at the guard station. We loved it here and plan to return.

It was in a great location, close to the beach and a shopping plaza. Any time I called the managers they were able to quickly answer any questions I had or help us out. They gave us the name of someone who helped book all of our excursions at a great price! There were 12 of us and we had a wonderful vacation!

Casa Pasalacqua in Playa
Casa Pasalacqua surely was an amazing experience while in Play del Carmen. We were a family of 12 and we fit comfortably. The house was amazing due to the location to the beach and la Quinta Avenida. We were able to walk or catch a taxi all around the city. Carlos the property manager was readily available to provide anything we needed. The teens loved the pool and the close proximity to the beach. We met a wonderful man named William who booked all of our excursions. We were able to call him anytime and he helped us tremendously. The excursions were out of this world! We will definitely plan another trip to Playa. A big thank you to Eleanora, your house was amazing and to Carlos who was on call 24/7 to give us anything we needed. Your hospitality was much appreciated!

I have stayed in this neighborhood in the past and had a bad experience. I can honestly say that this time around it was the complete opposite in this property. I highly recommend it!

Great villa and location.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house was in a great location and was very clean and well maintained. The owner reached out personally and also had a manager, housekeeper and driver available. We could not have asked for more.

Wonderful Time In Playa Del Carmen
We were in Playa Del Carmen to celebrate my Birthday with all of my Girlfriend's Family. The house could not have been better to accommodate all 10 of us. It was great to have five bedrooms where everyone felt well taken care of. The property Manager Carlos took great care of us and helped recommend two wonderful cooks that made breakfast for us every morning and a couple of Dinners. The service was exceptional. The location is minutes from town by foot or by car. I would recommend this wonderful property to anyone going to Playa Del Carmen. We had a wonderful vacation!

Trip cut short
We wanted to like this property, and we did (for the most part). House itself is great: location, easy check-in and out, towels, laundry, ocean view from the rooftop, 2 minute walk to the water.
However, the host failed to disclose that there is a EXTREMELY LOAUD CONSTRUCTION that goes on from 7 am to 6 pm every day, including the weekends. There is an apartment building going up few meters behind this house and the NOISE is just unbearable. It is directly outside the windows. Needless to say we did not sleep well at all. We had to move to another place after a couple pf days.
Please disclose this issue to your future renters.
Other than ongoing construction noise, the house is great!

Great for families
The house is set up well for a large family. Ideal location: walk to the beach in one minute, into town in five minutes. The neighborhood is extremely quiet and secure, even with Quinta Avenida so nearby. The pool and rooftop view are great. Good communication all the way along, flexible and helpful owner and accessible manager who checked in on us. It’s hard to think of a better base for a vacation in the area.

Amazing Location
I brought my family To Playa Del Carmen over Christmas break. They were ten of us all together and we fit perfectly and comfortably in this house. I’ve got to say the best part of our vacation was being so close to a beautiful beach and fifth Avenue. The house itself was very large and comfortable with bathrooms for each bedroom. wi-Fi worked well and Carlos the property manager helped us with anything we needed. The rooftop space was a great place to watch the sunset and enjoy a cocktail. The small pool was nice looking but we never got in it. The water was cool and it seemed to need chlorine. It didn’t matter because we swam in the ocean mostly. I feel that the linens need to be replaced with new ones as they were starting to look pretty old. The couch could be updated as it has lots of wear. Overall it was a really nice time and a good place to stay with a large family. With a little bit of updating it would be the perfect place.

Great location. Exactly as described!
This house is truly everything! Short walk to the beach (one block), shopping right outside the gated neighborhood. Property owner was waiting for us upon our arrival and gave us a tour. Quinta avenida only a short drive. I just wished the jacuzzi was heated. Great house!

Home away from home
2 grandparents, 5 grown children, and 4 grandchildren had everything they needed for a great stay. Do not be afraid to ask if something needs tending to, Carlos and Rosa are very attentive and helpful. Remember also that you are in Mexico and even some simple processes are a bit different, such as you have to turn the gas on for the dryer to heat. We found everything we needed in the house, the space very welcoming and the jacuzzi and rooftop magical. Thank you for a wonderful home away from home.

Fantastic Family Vacation! Beautiful Ocean Villa! Perfect spot!
Our family of 8 adults (3 couples & 2 singles) had a wonderful family vacation at Casa Passalaqua. We chose this location carefully based on a lot of must- haves. This luxury beach villa checked all the boxes! 1st was location. The location could not have been better. Playacar is an adorable little neighborhood with unique beautiful, Mexican homes. It’s within a 3 minute walk to the beach, where you can walk for miles in either direction or head into the heart of downtown. There are also a couple of wooded trails that link between neighborhoods & one leads right to the outdoor mall & beginning of 5th Ave. On the trails there are several old ruins that have been preserved & are very interesting to check out! They’re lit up at night. The community is super safe. There are security guards at the gate day & night who escort taxis to the home and patrol the neighborhood on motorbikes. The house is about 45 minutes from Cancun Airport & within 20-30 minutes to so many great sites! One day we walked to the ferry & went over to Cozumel for a snorkeling trip. My uncle went SCUBA diving each morning very nearby, on the recommendation of Carlos. Another day we took taxis to Casa Cenote- a small watering hole where you can snorkel in the mangroves & see interesting fish that live in brackish water. Another day we went to the Hard Rock Resort. Lots of stores, bars & restaurants in the Playa area. 2nd must-have was the perfect house. It’s very comfortable, spacious & beautiful , as in the photos. There could be some minor updates but we really enjoyed the experience. Every morning we had breakfast outside on the patio & enjoyed the wildlife. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking (although the knives need sharpening). Some dish towels were provided but we planned to buy all necessities. In the afternoons we’d have lunch up on the 3rd floor deck & take a dip in the pool (which was also must-have). It was perfect for cooling off in the sun. The bedrooms were all spacious & had comfortable beds. The bathrooms were nice too. We did have some issues with hot water, water pressure & plumbing. Most were fixed promptly. The rooftop deck was the best hang out for playing cards, etc. We didn’t use the very top deck because the spiral staircase made us nervous. But what a great view! Wished the grill was right on the 1st floor patio. Eleanora was a great host, always helpful with info! All in all Casa Passalaqua did not disappoint! We all hope to return again soon

Nice house
Our group was 8 adults and 2 kids the house had plenty of room for all of us to hang out and to have our own space. The location is good - about a 3 minute walk to the beach. There are a lot of stairs which was difficult for my mom - we were hoping that my parents would be able to stay in the first floor bedroom, the bathroom on the first floor is only a half bath though. The second level - the rooms are nice, the bed in the room I was in was like sleeping on a rock to me and the pillows were very thin. The curtain had a big stain on it and the sheets on the bed had some staining on them as well. All of the second level bedrooms have bathrooms. The third level has the master bedroom it is huge! Along with the deck and the pool - which was cold.
We did enjoy our time and the house was fine, there are some things that I would have liked to have known before I got there:
None of the toilets flush well - the result - no toilet paper in the toilet.
The kitchen sink does not drain well and there is no dishwasher.
The washer and dryer do not work correctly - so we could not use them. We packed as if we could so that was an issue.
There are TV’s in most of the rooms - only 2 work - the living room and the master bedroom. The living room TV we could not get to work so that was an ongoing issue that Carlos worked on.
There are no hand towels
There are no paper towels, napkins, or Kleenex
There was no hand soap in the bathrooms

Beautiful 5 Bedroom Home Close to Beach and 5th Avenue!
A second wonderful Family Vacation at Casa Passalacqua!
Our Party of 10, 7 adults, 3 children ranging in ages from 7 to 88 have just come back from a 16 night holiday in Playa Del Carmen. The home was everything we needed to have a fabulous holiday. Lots of room for everyone! We thank Eleonora for the new beach chairs and for providing us a BBQ on the back deck. The roof BBQ is also a wonderful place to relax and to watch the Sunrises and Sunsets, but the steps were getting difficult for my 88 year old father. The Beach is a short walk with chairs and a drink cooler in hand to spend the day and 5th Avenue has something for everyone with great people watching too!. Our family did 2 day trips to visit the reef in Puerto Morelos, I day trip to Cozumel to Chankenaab Bay Park, and a Day trip to he Tulum Ruins. We used the collector Buses at Calle 2 and Avenida 20-25 for each adventure at a cost of 25 pesos each to Puerto Morelos, 45 Pesos to Tulum. You can walk to the Cozumel Ferry where you can now buy tickets that last 6 months if your daily plans change. We used Orange Winjet ferries and got a discount on return tickets. The Ado Bus at 2 & 2 is also another option and a bit more comfortable than the Collector Buses. But not as much fun! We picked up our groceries at Chedraui (Way better than Walmart!) which is at Calle 1 Sur and Avenida 45 ( an easy walk) and we took a taxi back at a standing price of 120 pesos. We purchased shrimp at a fish market called “El Pirata” between Avenida 5& 10 at Calle 40.Extremely good! The flattened chicken at 15 & 2 is great and do is the rotisserie chicken at 10 and 4. Try the potatoes too! We purchased our Fruit at Calle 1 Sur & 30. Avenida Sur . I really recommend you walk up Avenida Benito Jurarez for a change from 5th Avenue, Lots of great Mexican stores. The street food in the park at Avenida 15 Norte and Avenida Benito Juarez is not too be missed! We had a family dinner at Don Mario’s at Av 10 and Calle 8 which was very good. The internet is very good, and we used the TV to watch one of the many supplied movies. Water is supplied and the Washer and dryer are very good. I recommend you download the Google Translator app which has a free offline download and also to download What’s App as everyone uses it in PDC. Thankyou to the Carlos who answers all questions and Helps when needed and a special Thank you to Eleonora for letting us use her home! Enjoy your Holiday!
We will be back 😊

A GREAT CHRISTMAS VACATION IN PLAYA
My family of 9 had a wonderful time staying in Casa Passalaqua for Christmas 2018. There was plenty of room for all and the house was very well maintained. One of the best features was the excellent service that Carlo, the house manager, provided from house details, to having the tour agent come to the house to explain all the options and let let each family member select what they wanted to do for the week. Carlos also arranged for transportation to and from the airport, and that worked flawlessly.
The owner, Eleanora, was wonderful to work with leading up to the trip, and it is a credit to her for employing such good people to maintain the property.
I would recommend this property to any family wanting a great time in Playa.

Highly Recommended
Our family of nine got the pleasure of staying at this wonderful house and everyone left satisfied. I would say it's exactly as advertised, but frankly, I'm not sure the pictures even do it justice. It's incredibly spacious including the rooms. The view from the roof is great. We spent many hot evenings hanging out in the pool up top enjoying the cool water, the great view, the birds and each others company. It's a great way to spend a relaxing evening. The house was well stocked including bottled water, and the washer/dryer was a nice touch. Finally, it's situated a few blocks from a nice beach and 5th street - which has a lot of good food and bars as well as some unusual shopping. The nearby coffee store and chocolatier were personal favorites. The property manager was helpful and came over one night when the electricity went out. It turns out that a pole was hit by a car so the power went out for the whole block, but he still made sure we were okay and kept us updated. Finally, the owner, Elenora, was really helpful pre-visit. It was our first trip to Mexico, and she patiently answered out numerous questions and really put us at ease. I highly recommend this home and will gladly stay here again. It really made for a memorable vacation, and we absolutely appreciated our stay.

Great Home In a Wonderful Locaction!
I booked this fine home for DEC 27 2017 for me, my wife, my children and Grand children 11 of us were together for New Years, some place warm and with some fun things to do, and this Home did just that. What a great, safe Location and the home had everything we needed for comfort and fun, we have been to Cancun many times but me my wife, and whole family felt Playa offered more and in a safer environment. Just a few short blocks from a quiet, white sand, electric Blue beach, which was so important for my family. Beach offers many activities Parasailing, and just a short walk on the beach is the ferry's that run to Cozumel for a very cheap fee If I remember it's like $5 bucks. I was really please with the wonderful clean restaurants, and all the activities available we took advantages of most, all was great fun and gave us all fun Memories. I would also like to says what a true Pleasure it was to deal with Eleonora, and the staff she has put together,Carlos and the fine Lady, sorry I forget her name came everyday to make sure the Home was kept clean for us. Everyone was a pleasure and made us feel like we were in our own home, they all had the same Goal to insure my family had a Great stay, How cool is that. I would like to say I have been on many vacations with my family and this was a Great home in a Great place and at a very fair price if you are considering a vacation you can feel very confident booking this home with these fine folks, my family and I will book this home
again.

FANTASTIC LOCATION, LOTS OF SPACE & AMENITIES!!
Eleonora & Carlos were absolutely wonderful to deal with! Both were extremely helpful before our trip and during our trip. Questions and concerns were immediately dealt with. My 3 siblings and I stayed in this home for a total of 9 people to celebrate my brother's 50th birthday. We had several cousins fly in as well who stayed in my cousin's home but this house accomodated a birthday dinner for 15 people easily. We cooked on the rooftop terrace while the kids enjoyed the rooftop jacuzzi. Everything was fabulous and the only thing I could add to improve the experience was to have additional bath towels in each bathroom as well as kitchen towels to dry dishes. Other than that, everything was lovely and we wished we could have stayed longer. Thank you Eleonora for opening up your home for us to stay.

Perfect Home with a Perfect Location
Casa Passalacqua is a beautiful clean and comfortable home. The beach is blocks away and gives you the feeling of privacy even though it's just a short walk to downtown Playa and all the action.
Restaurants, bars, shopping and any adventure you need is a 10 minute walk from the house. You can see the lights of cruise ships and cozumel at night in the ocean and it's a beautiful scene. The pool on the roof is immaculate and you can feel the breeze coming off of the ocean. The area is guarded by 24 hour security to give you safety and privacy and the staff there to help is there as soon as you need anything. I have recommended this home and will go back!

Amazing Stay in the Perfect Vacation Home!
We had an amazing stay! This was a reunion for a group of nine friends and Casa Passalacqua was the ideal set up for us. The house was very comfortable and the pool was perfect for morning and evening dips. The house is a block from the beach, which is much less crowded than the beaches further north. The house is also a quick walk into town - truly the perfect location. Eleanora was incredibly helpful when planning our stay and the property manager Carlos was available for any issues or questions that came up while we were there. We can't wait to return!

Beautiful Home and Beautiful Location
My husband and I decided that on our first trip to Mexico, we would bring our 4 kids (ages 10-14). We were nervous - 4 restless kids while traveling to an unfamiliar place where we don't speak much of the language. Once we arrived at the house, all of our fears were put to rest. We were all completely overwhelmed with the beauty and elegance of the home while the kids ran floor to floor claiming their bedrooms.
The beach is about 100 yards from the house and is clean, electric blue, and beautiful. The area is quiet, safe, private, and friendly. The bedrooms are spacious, beds are comfortable, and the air conditioning is cool. We bbq'd on the rooftop balcony, cooked great meals in the kitchen, even had the cook prepare us a wonderful meal one night.
The lady who cleans the house (I didn't get her name) was absolutely amazing - she was always on top of things - towels, sheets, making sure everything was perfect. She was really sweet and I always enjoyed her smile.
Eleanora is very thorough and accommodating. Carlos was always able to answer questions and help out. I would love nothing more that to come back again! (Even the moody tweens said it was the best vacation EVER!)

Nice place. Great location.
Had a wonderful stay with entire family. Manager was very helpful and responsive to problems....one air conditioner didn't work, fridge didn't work, bathroom lights burned out....all were fixed shortly after calls (but would have been nice if these things had been checked before our arrival). All in all, house was in good condition and clean. One suggestion would be to put together a welcome book with notes on house and area; (i.e.: wifi password, tv channel guide, number to call for pizza delivery, etc.). Enjoyed our stay. Would recommend to others.

Perfect home for larger parties!
Eleonora's home ended being perfect for our party of 10, while celebrating my 40th birthday in lovely Playa del Carmen! Four of us were delayed about 10 hours getting into Cancun, and Eleonora arranged transportation to pick up my friends at the Cancun Airport, since we were all supposed to have ridden together. (I need to say that I called VERY early in the morning, and she even helped us while she was under the weather).
The home was less than two blocks from the beach, about a 5-8 min walk to 5th Street, 10 mins to the ADO bus station. It IS in a gated community, and there was a little confusion with trying to get the taxi drivers to trust us that the home was in Playacar Phase I and not II, but all worked out!
A couple of us rented bikes through Ian at Playa Rida (http://www.playarida.com), which were delivered right to the home by Ian, the owner. Highly recommend to get off the beaten path in Playa.
We left some restaurant recs in the visitor ledger, but here are a few we enjoyed:
La Coronela (VERY small, but well worth eating here. So nice and wonderful food. Two ladies in the kitchen cranked out my bday dinner with 12 of us there).
Bio Natural - great place for salads, vegan and veggie food. Also a small market.
La Brocherie - I know, who goes to Mexico to eat French food? Trust me, it was amazing, and it's obviously a hit with the locals. Best roasted chicken.
Anyway, the house exceeded our expectations, the wifi worked great, and everyone had their own space. What more can one ask for. Oh, and that rooftop deck! Gah!
Thanks, Eleonora and Carlos! I hope to get back one day soon.

Our blended family with 5 kids and their significant others have never had the chance to vacation together. This was truly the trip of a lifetime for our family with kids ranging in age from 17-30. Easily accommodated all of us! Everyone had their own space yet also perfect space to all come together. Clean, gorgeous, incredibly maintained. Eleonora and Carlos were extremely helpful and responsive. If you've never booked a place like this on line, there is a risk because you truly never know until you see it - this home was more than we could have ever dreamt of!!! We would go back in a heartbeat and hated to leave. Went to an all-inclusive resort the following week and all of us agreed we had a far better time in this house. The beach is gorgeous and so close to town - yet far enough away to have privacy. Perfect location as we walked to town and had late night fun at the bars yet felt perfectly safe walking home on the beach at night which was also very beautiful. Spent tons of time on the beach boogie boarding and just relaxing and swimming. Perfect beach for all of us and no need to go elsewhere, though we did take the water taxi to Cozumel one day and visited Xcaret another day. Great, close excursions and Carlos helped us figure everything out. Had a great dinner the first night on the top deck grilling out and an incredible authentic dinner cooked for us later in the week with so many leftovers we didn't need to cook again - delicious!! Extremely comfortable beds and loved that each room had individual temperature controls. Loved having our room more isolated so our adult kids could have space without feeling like we were on top of them...and vice versa! The ride from the airport with the stop at Walmart was very helpful however it was also a bit overwhelming as you can only spend $250 USD there and our bill was $272 - thankfully the kind lady behind is exchanged USD for pesos. We loved every minute in this gorgeous place and the accommodations were far greater than we imagined. I would highly recommend this property to anyone and hope we can come back someday.Thank you so much, Eleonora and Carlos!!!

The property is just as described and it was perfect for the 9 of us that stayed here. The private villa area was quite and we felt very safe. The property and the refrigerator took a while to cool down but probably since it had been vacant for a while. The 4 full bathrooms and 1 half bathroom was great feature. No fighting over the bathrooms!
Carlos the property manager was very courteous. We had an issue with the internet and Dish TV which he immediately addressed. He arranged transportation to/from the airport and also arranged a very delicious cooked meal for us at the house on short notice.
The beach is a short 2 block walk and it is not as busy as the portion near the center of town which allows you to relax. If you want to be in the action, the beach bars are a short 10 to 15 minute walk along the beach.
The 5th Ave is about a 5 to 10 min walk as is the ferry to Cozumel. Lots of shopping and food!
Would we return to this property? Absolutely.
