About this house rental
With recent construction, a 2nd floor bedroom, bathroom and large ocean viewing terrace was added to make Casa de Musica a 2 bedroom villa.
Once again the owners have completely transformed Casa de Musica and as renters have come to expect, they will find a romantic, unique, charming and private house that now caters to two couples or a family of four. Casa de Musica is located on the south end of the island with incredible ocean views. High-end furnishings with a boho chic feel that offers you the chance to fully kick back and relax island style. The air conditioned downstairs living room provides open seating for four with an oversized sofa, two comfy chairs, coffee table and wardrobe. A large flatscreen TV with DVD player and Apple TV and other streaming capabilities are available in both bedrooms for your entertainment, along with high speed internet and wifi should you need to connect with the outside world. The air conditioned downstairs bedroom has a king sized bed with 800 thread count sheets, plenty of pillows and a comforter.
The downstairs bathroom has marble throughout, a double vanity and an indoor shower. Floor to ceiling glass windows provide a view of the private garden. A sliding door opens out to the garden and a tiled walkway leads to a private, outdoor shower surrounded by the lush plants and flowers.
From the front patio an outdoor stairway leads up to the large, covered terrace. This is designed to allow access for all guests to enjoy the terrace. The views of the ocean and the cool breezes from here are quite amazing although either bedroom also have a view of the ocean.
A sliding glass door opens to the spacious upstairs, air conditioned, second bedroom with lots of windows and vaulted ceiling. Again you will find a king sized bed with 800 thread count sheets, plenty of pillows and a comforter.
The upstairs bathroom is beautifully tiled and offers separate sinks for each guest with a view of the ocean while showering. Windows and skylights provide plenty of natural lighting.
The fully equipped kitchen, under the beautiful, grand, semi-enclosed palapa has sliding glass doors that open to allow the gentle Caribbean breezes through. The other side of the palapa is open to a private garden patio and separate laundry room. The kitchen bar has stool seating for six plus two fun swing chairs. The marble dining table with seating for four is a great place to enjoy engaging conversation while dining or playing games. Two over sized comfy chairs make the palapa the perfect hang.
Swim laps in the 58' x 7' heated, salt water pool or take it easy as you sunbathe and sip on a cocktail in the 11' x 11' shallow end platform. Catch the stunning sunrises or watch the shooting stars and listen to the crashing waves from the patio and pool deck.
With a name like Casa de Musica, of course you will have indoor and outdoor music streaming throughout with a Sonos system that you can control with an app on your phone.
An alfresco powder room with a second outdoor shower sits in the far corner of the palapa, and is easily accessible from the pool.
Feeling too relaxed? Stroll the Mayan Ruins looking out to sea at the southern most point of the island. This is a popular attraction with a restaurant and just a few minutes walk. The Garrafon Natural Reef Park is also just a few minutes walk and offers a range of recreational water activities.
A fun way to venture out and explore all this amazing island has to offer is to rent a golf cart or scooter or just take one of the many little red taxis running about the island. Enjoy the award winning beaches of Playa Norte with its cosmopolitan beach bars, restaurants and stretches of soft white sand and turquoise water. Hidalgo Street is a buzzing hive of activity with tourists shops, bars and restaurants so numerous that you'll never eat at the same place twice.

Sofia is fantastic and made our trip seamless. Thank you for hosting our family and being so responsive and helpful. We had a wonderful time! The pool was much larger than we anticipated via the photos, and provided fantastic views. We especially enjoyed swimming at night! The bedroom upstairs provided amazing views of the sunrise each morning! We also really loved the location of the home - and Sofia arranging golf carts for our use. Lastly, the outdoor showers combined with the gardens were magical.We highly recommend staying here - you won’t be disappointed! And an honorable mention for the filtered water!

I would like to first say , Sofia was a pleasure to work with very professional and took care of every need. She was very responsive and made sure everything was perfect. She got my transfer from airport to ferry to the house. Made my vacation worry free. The house was clean and very welcoming. I can’t say anything bad about this property. This was a beautifully kept home with wonderful views of the carribean. Nicely acquainted with all the daily nicities. Kitchen was kind of hot to cook during the early hours but later was a fabulous place to hang out. Property mananger was easy to get a hold of. Close to Punta Sur and store.

Our stay at Casa Musica was fantastic and we are already discussing how we quickly we can return. The home is better than advertised as it is hard to point out how comfortable you are as soon as you arrive. The pool is private and we especially enjoyed watching the tourists pass. The home is very comfortable and the Sonos music system is a great touch. The outdoor shower is a special treat and the outdoor palapa kitchen and living area gives that island vibe that you find in very few homes. We can't say enough good things about the home and location. Being at the quiet end of the island is really nice but it was an easy golf cart drive to the playa norte area. A special thanks to Sofia and the staff for taking such good care of us and seeing to all our needs. We are looking forward to returning to Casa Musica.

It is everything the VRBO listing stated and then some. It did not disappoint! The property manager Sofia and her team were beyond exceptional. She made all the arrangements for us to get from the airport to the island and to Casa de Musica without any issues. The home is beautiful, as are the grounds and pool area. Our time there was so special and we enjoyed every single moment to the fullest. We will be back in 2025 to enjoy your home and the island once again. What a beautiful home! The location was great, we liked being a bit more secluded and quiet. Sofia was so easy to work with and she was very attentive. She quickly responded if we had questions. The arrangement of transfers to and from the airport to the ferry to the house were seamless. The house had everything you could need. We enjoyed taking advantage of some of Sofia's concierge services and highly recommend. We would definitely stay here again!

We could not have been more pleased with this property. Private, great location and beautifully appointed. This is a luxury experience for anyone who loves island life. The bedrooms and bathrooms are spacious and comfortable - we spend most of our time poolside and in the amazing open air indoor/outdoor kitchen and dining space. I had excellent communication from the host , my check in to the house was welcoming with Sophia and I loved staying here. This was the most beautiful place we've stayed! The layout of the home, landscaping and heated pool were all amazing! We spent most of our time enjoying the pool and awesome Sonos sound system located throughout the property. The property is located in a nice, quiet section of the island, very near Punta Sur. The Property Manager was extremely helpful and responsive to all needs. I highly recommend experiencing this home while in Isla.

This was one of our favorite vacations yet! We are used to going to Playa Del Carmen and staying at Xcaret Arte which is a very high end resort. Our stay at Casa De Musica met those same expectations!! Sofia made it worry free getting from the airport to the house providing a driver to the ferry and a taxi driver at the ferry port so we didn't have to worry about getting ripped off rates. Sofia also went out of her way to call a doctor and get me medicine after getting stung by a scorpion. Overall, we felt super safe and cozy at the house. I would recommend this rental over any resort on the island! We plan to return in a few months before our baby's due date in February.

We stayed for the second time for our fifth wedding anniversary, our first time was our honeymoon. Although it was two of us, the additions to the home makes it more accessible to bringing family and friends. We were able to relive our honeymoon 5 years and two babies later. Thank you Chuck and Jo for the memories. We will be back.

Overall a very nice stay. The house is very well maintained and the pool is great especially with the surround sound. My wife and I took advantage of the concierge service for a assistance with a golf cart, couples massage, and to have groceries and liquor at the house upon our arrival for check in. I would highly recommend this property for two couples or a small family.

We’ve stayed at Casa de Música several times and it just gets better with each stay. The new second floor master suite is beautiful with a great patio with sweeping views in all directions. The renovated kitchen is well appointed with everything you need including purified water for the ice machine for making cocktails by the pool. Can’t wait for our next stay.

This property is everything and more. The location is removed from the hustle and bustle but just a short golf cart ride to all the fun. The house is INCREDIBLE. Tons of room. Everything you need in a home away from home, very well appointed. The only thing I’d recommend is access to additional blankets.

The house is so great, it was pretty much my ideal vacation rental. It’s lovely to be away from the downtown area, even if it means tons of golf carting to eat and swim. The pool was a bit chilly (December) but we swam daily - fine once you’re in. We loved lying on the outdoor chairs and watching the moon at night. Our favorite place to eat was Madera Food and Art, not far away. Otherwise ate at restaurants up north. Isla didn’t turn out to be my favorite island destination, however I would be thrilled just to spend a week at this fabulous home. Sonia and her sweet father cooked us a wonderful vegan meal and that was a highlight. The owners are very nice and communicative, too. Five stars all the way.

This is a beautiful home, in a great location. The owners just did a full remodel and added a second bedroom/ suite! A large outdoor patio with great views of the Caribbean waters. The kitchen was also all re done. We were the first to stay after the remodel, and did encounter some electrical issues, however Sofia did get them worked out, for the most part. We will definitely be back and are making plans for next December. I highly recommend Casa De Musica for a Luxury get away!! I have looked at this property for several years, finally had the chance to experience it. Sofia was a delight! She offers a wide variety of services to enhance your vacation. We had been on Isla for 5 days at a different location prior to staying at this house. We knew once we arrived here our plan was to make the most out of being able to stay here and enjoy the home and most of all the patio and pool! The second separate bedroom does make it perfect to share with another couple. You each have your own very private bedroom suite, and the shared outdoor kitchen in the palapa. The glass doors to the Palapa slide wide open.
