About this house rental
Our house was extensively remodeled in 2021. We upgraded with a Gourmet Kitchen, dining room, family room and all 3 bathrooms (new vanities/showers). We widened all 3 sliding doors so you have incredible views from the kitchen/dining room/family room/ master bathroom.
Save money on dining out with our amazing new kitchen! It has everything you'll need to prepare a great meal that you can eat while sitting on the deck looking at the view. Would rather BBQ? Sit on the deck while monitoring your food in the BBQ. Don't like to cook? Pick up food in downtown Healdsburg and bring it up. Downtown is only 1.5 miles away!
Healdsburg Bliss House is a noted unofficial hillside landmark. This comfortable open floor plan ranch style home is high up on a ridge above the stunningly gorgeous Dry Creek Wine Valley. Just 1.5 miles from downtown Healdsburg, the home is a blissfully peaceful escape surrounded by 80 acres of lush vineyards. (.6 miles down West Dry Creek rd). The 100ft deck and expansive windows provide endless opportunities to take in the literally 100 mile-180 degree views of vineyards, forests, mountains, big skies and florid sunsets. Watch the hot air balloons rise to the south or the plumes of steam from The Geysers in the surrounding northeast mountains. Bring binoculars and check out the myriad of birds swooping by. Read on the deck, bbq while sipping wine and taking in the views. An outdoor dining table for 6 is a commanding location from which to dine and leisurely watch the sunset. The master suite opens to the deck and the spacious gourmet kitchen/dining/family great room has views as does the generous living room.
Bliss House Hillside Setting: This truly unique location is up a 1/4 mile shared gated and paved drive which is in great condition and suitable for all types of cars.
Bring the camera and the binoculars and no matter what season-warm outerwear as evenings can be cool.
House has 3 bedrooms. Master has a King bed and AMAZING views as well as an attached bathroom with soaker tub. Other 2 bedrooms have queen beds and are on the back side of the house
Kitchen: Has everything you need! New and updated. Has an island with stools so you can sit and talk to whomever is working in the kitchen. Kitchen has Keurig coffee maker (also a drip is you like that better). 4 burner gas range with plenty of pots/pans to cook what you need. Rather BBQ? Thats located on the deck.
Parking: Lots of easy free parking in the driveway! (4 cars max)

The Weather: From April through August, most afternoons are pretty and bright with breezes. Mornings and nights are usually cool and sometimes the early morning fog comes in to kiss the grapes. Temperatures can range 30-40 degrees in a 24 hour period. September and October is almost always warm and there is less early morning mist or fog. However, there are exceptions...so don't forget the pullover or wrap. Even in winter, when we get the rains that make this such a lovely place...there are many many break through days with crisp sunshine.
Note: We do have some security camera's outside the house (not inside). They are not actively monitored and are in place to see around the house (we had a water leak once and had no way of knowing, with the camera's we can).
Note: Our internet is usually 12mbs or a bit higher. Its worked for me for zoom meetings. But you can't have a 4 or 5 people trying to stream video/download files at the same time. Internet access is limited in our location (no fiber/coax), but its usually fairly fast.

We LOVED our stay at the bliss house in Healdsburg last weekend! The open floor plan connecting the living, dining and kitchen were perfect for our group. And the large balcony with spectacular views was well-used for morning coffee and evening family dinners. Woke up to a beautiful sunrise viewed from the master bedroom.
The kitchen was fully stocked with lots of cooking, serving and coffee options.
The location is ideal - just a short drive to downtown,
Next time we are in Healdsburg we will definitely stay here again.

Very easy check in process and communication with the owner. The house was immaculate and looked exactly as advertised. It is in the middle of a what appeared to be a working vineyard. We ate several meals in and the kitchen had everything needed to cook and grill. The house was also very well supplied with toiletries and cleaning products, often not the case in other homes we have rented. A great experience.

This is a rare gem. The Bliss House is even more beautiful than the photos on VRBO. We appreciated the stellar views from the large deck and from the living room and dining areas. The location is wonderfully quiet and peaceful, in the middle of a vineyard. It is a very short distance from the town of Healdsburg, and it is extremely well stocked with kitchen materials and spices, for those who like to cook and have wine in situ. The beds are very comfortable, there is plenty of closet space with hangers, and ample room for toiletries in the bathrooms. The air conditioning works like a dream, even when it's sweltering outside. I particularly appreciate that the bed linens and towels are washed using unscented detergent. This house is immaculate and has neither mold nor fragrances. Everything was perfect and we hope to return soon.

Upon arrival the property was stunning and breathtaking. Beautiful view, spacious and perfect for a getaway! Close to wineries, restaurants and shopping. Will definitely return to this gem overlooking the vineyards!

This property was exactly what I had hoped.
We had the best experience with everything...location to town, cleanliness, well appointed kitchen, quiet, private. We couldn't have asked for more. It was easy to find and plenty of details about the property were provided which we really appreciated. Host was very responsive and kind. If we make it to Healdsburg in the future, we will definitely try to book this property again. I have already recommended it to family.

A group of 5 friends for our annual girls' weekend - we absolutely loved this home. The views are phenomenal. The house is spacious and comfortable. We loved enjoying the inside and outside seating areas, the awesome kitchen, and playing games at the large dining room table. The only negative is that it overlooks a working vineyard and the tractors woke us up around 4am Monday morning! But it was worth it - would love to come back!

Great view over Healdsburg. Very open layout which is very nice. Sit on the 60’ deck with coffee in the morning to watch the sun rise over the mountains or in the evening with a glass of wine to watch the wild turkey and other birds.
There is not much walking without a drive into town since it is gated and private property around the house. Although you can walk up and down the 200 yard driveway (steep climb back up for those who have a difficult time walking).
We enjoyed our stay.

We loved every bit of our time in lovely healdsburg! This property was PERFECT too. Comfortable beds , lots of lounge space and an open concept kitchen and dining room with views of the nearby vineyards :)
Location was also amazing, five minutes from healdsburg plaza, 30 minutes from Armstrong redwood forest and quirky Guerneville, and an hour from Jenner and the beautiful Sonoma coast.
Peter our host was helpful and responsive when needed.
We couldnt have asked for a better place to spend family time! :)

This home is the perfect getaway, but still close enough to town that it’s easy to enjoy Healdsburg.

The house itself is only a few minutes from downtown Healdsburg, but seems far away because it's located in the middle of vineyards, is very private, and very quiet. The view out the back overlooks the vineyards and throughout the valley. The beds were very comfortable, the kitchen was well equipped with all that we needed, and was very clean upon our arrival. Peter communicated everything that we needed to know and was a great host!

We definitely will be returning to Bliss House. The house was well appointed with everything we needed including the kitchen. The house was immaculate and not dusty. But for us the most important aspect of a rental is the view which was fantastic-vineyards and mountains! The porch was very comfortable.
In the past at other VRBO's, we have had to sacrifice convenience for the lovely views but Bliss House was convenient to stores and vineyards and natural attractions. We had never been to Healdsburg before and the next time we go up to Sonoma we will be staying in Healdsburg-wonderful Michelin restaurants and shops.. I wouldn't change a thing.

And, yes, an amazing view! Housemates from Texas and Georgia fell in love with wine country and Bliss House was a major reason. We seamlessly checked in to a perfectly clean house with a well-stocked kitchen and good sized bedrooms and bathrooms with nice linens and plenty of towels. The house has comfortable furniture both inside and out on the expansive deck, where we spent most of our time. As we rented the house for three weeks, the large well-stocked laundry room was a major plus!
Thanks to Peter for excellent communication and everything else. All of us hope to return soon to this perfect place to enjoy wine country.

This was our second time starting at Bliss House and it didn’t disappoint. This time another couple joined us. We cooked at home each night after enjoying multiple wineries that are close to the VRBO. We enjoyed great conversations, wine and food as we the ability to be together. We will certainly return!

Bliss House is a wonderful place to spend a few days in wine country. The entire home is recently renovated so everything is in perfect condition. Rooms are spacious and well furnished; the kitchen is stocked with every convenience. The view is amazing! Very convenient to downtown Healdsburg. Having read all the great reviews about Bliss House, my expectations were very high. But this home surpassed them all. Everything about the house is five star. It's exceptionally clean and comfortable, it has all the amenities you'd expect to find in your own home - all in top working condition - and of course, there's the indescribable view that demands you sit and relax and enjoy it.
Bliss House was the highlight of our stay in Healdsburg and the description provided about this rental is 100% accurate (including the bit about the internet - but if four or five of you are trying to stream videos at the same time, you're probably not enjoying the house together!)
I highly recommend this property and would give it ten stars if I could.

We had a wonderful stay at the Bliss House for our Daughter’s Wedding Weekend!
The house is beautiful, spacious and the views are absolutely stunning! It had everything we needed and then some.
The house was immaculate upon arrival and our communication with Peter was a breeze. The kitchen is beautifully updated & very well stocked. We forgot to bring coffee & really appreciated that there was coffee available for us in the Coffee Bar. The family room is very comfortable with games & puzzles and the TV was great. The bedrooms are all very nice. especially the primary bedroom-it’s views are spectacular!
The location was a short drive to the Wedding Venue in Geyserville. It was the perfect place to relax before and after all the weekends activities.
As the Mother of the Bride, it was heaven for our family to get ready for the Wedding in such a beautiful location.
My daughter loved the house so much she had her ‘first look’ pictures taken there!
The Bliss House will always have a special place in our hearts and we cannot thank Peter enough for his hospitality!

I’m sorry to be redundant in this review but…… what a view! We’ve stayed in many rentals in the Healdsburg, Geyserville, Windsor, and Sebastopol area. The locale, ease of traveling to wineries and restaurants made this the perfect spot. The house was roomy, clean and comfortable. We decided to cancel one of our nights out and stayed in to enjoy the house and deck. This was an experience we won’t soon forget. Our host was quick to respond to questions. Much appreciated!
