About this house rental
** To all present and future guests concerning COVID-19 **
All cleanings have been increased to include all CDC recommended procedures. We want all guests to know that we value everyone's health and safety and we will do everything possible to give you a clean and sanitary home for your stay at our lovely house on Lake DeSoto.
This one level house is our personal hidden TREASURE! The house is decorated like a personal home and is NOT your typical HSV rental. It's Cute, Cozy and Comfortable and that's what you'll say over and over again as you experience our spectacular Lakeside Treasure on Lake DeSoto. In fact, you'll spend endless hours enjoying the gentle breeze that always seem to be blowing across the lake onto our back yard. Once inside, you will immediately be struck with how the entire back of the house offers a tremendous view of Lake DeSoto. That includes views from the kitchen, kitchen eating area, the Den(tv area), the sunroom, dining room and screened in porch and Master Bedroom!
Since we are often at our "Lake House", we have all the comforts of a home for you to enjoy. You will enjoy the well appointed kitchen with everything you'll need, including an Instant hot water faucet and a Keurig coffee maker with enough K-cups to get you started!
The Den area is very comfortable with reclining leather full sofa, reclining leather loveseat and reclining leather chair.
In the Den area is also a 55" Roku smart TV hooked up to full cable and a DVD player. Do you like HIGH SPEED INTERNET? WE HAVE IT!
For loads of fun, we have many games and puzzles in the den cabinet's that guests can use and there are loads of books in the house that you can read if you find one to your liking....reading in the sunroom overlooking the lake, anyone?
if you like a good comfortable sleep, you will find a Master bedroom with a king size bed, a large walk in closet, 2 large picture windows that allow for GREAT views of the lake, several dressers and a large armoire with lots of drawers. The Master bath is large with a shower/Jacizzi whirlpool tub that is down the master hallway away from the sleeping area to allow for a low noise sleeping environment.
Sleep is also restful in the other 2 bedrooms. Both have queen beds with comfortable TempurPedic mattresses, ample closet space and several chest of drawers. Both have cable tv's with dvd players. These 2 bedrooms share a private nearby full bath with tub/shower down the hall from the bedrooms and thus, is NOT a shared Jack n Jill bathroom.
Laissez les Bon Temps Rouler!!! Let the good times roll!!
We are from New Orleans and we let the good times roll in the back of this house! With its picture perfect views, Lake DeSoto is enjoyed from just about everywhere! From all across the back of the house, (kitchen, Master Bedroom, Den, sunroom and screened in porch), you just won't get tired of the Lake. You can enjoy grilling on the backyard barbe that is on patio and eat on the adjacent table and chairs. And for me personally, I enjoy how the large trees that surround the backyard that provide shade in the morning and afternoon. Just imagine that on a 97 degree day, one can enjoy sipping morning coffee outside on the patio in cool temperatures until about 9:30am and then have an afternoon cool shade to enjoy grilling what your heart desires while having a glass of wine?
Our private boat dock is just waiting for you to FISH, kayak or use to swim in the Lake, which is a grandkids favorite! We are very close to the WayPoint Marina, and they rent pontoon boats, kayaks, Paddle board, and paddle boats for your enjoyment. They are available for for rent by the hour or day.
Fishing is a joy on this STOCKED freshwater lake which is full of bass and brim. Lake DeSoto can also be enjoyed from sandy Beach DeSoto. . If you're looking for fun on a bigger scale, Lake Balboa is jut 10 miles up the road and a GREAT beach as well. Walking, hiking and biking trails in the Village are virtually endless. You can secure a map of all available routes from the visitor center just inside the West gate.
For the active, we are also only a few miles away from the Natatorium swimming and exercise complex and it is located right next to the 12 court Coronado Tennis Complex, both only 4 miles from the house.
Pickleball outdoor courts are 1 mile away.
And finally, this property has LOCATION, LOCATION and more LOCATION! Being located on the extreme West side of Hot Springs Village, it near WalMart, McDonalds, a nice coffee shop and many restaurants and boutiques for shopping. Hot Springs Village itself is a huge 26,000 acre gated community with over 26 miles of graveled/paved
walking /bike trails scattered throughout the Village. There are 11 lakes (Lake DeSoto is the 3rd largest), 2 beaches and 8 championship golf courses.
And you are only 15 minutes from downtown Hot Springs and its famous Oaklawn Racing & Gaming facility and more dining options. How about a message on the famous bathhouse row?
Please don't hesitate to message us with any questions! We know this property and area VERY well!

We are kayakers and had a blast on this lake!!! This house was perfect and we enjoyed a lot of outside time!

I had five family members stay at Karen and Randy Imhoff's for four nights for our wedding celebration in the Village. Everyone was comfortable. The rooms were spacious and the patio rooms were relaxing. We used the lake house as our hub for gatherings. The home is everything it appeared to be and the lake views and grounds were beautiful. The owners were kind and communicative. Highly recommend!

We loved the property and most importantly the host who responded to our every request. Could not have been a better golf outing because of the hospitality. We look forward to visiting again.
Thanks.

Didn’t have much time to really enjoy the house but it worked out great. Close to the west entrance. The view was so peaceful. Kids enjoyed watching the turtles in the water.

Very good overall stay. Jacuzzi tub did not work which was disappointing!

My family enjoyed our stay at the lake. The house was cozy and there was a beautiful view.

We loved this trip to Hot Springs! The home is in a great location, very safe gated neighborhood with a beautiful view of the lake. We had one minor issue (trouble with the key pad at the front door) and the owner got back to us very quickly. Highly recommend.

This is our second year to stay at this house. Our group of four came to Hot Springs Village again to play golf, fish off of the pier and just kick back. The scenery was beautiful.
The location and accommodations are perfect for us. So much that we are planning a third vacation for next fall.
The house is always clean and easy to access. It is in a cul-de-sac so our morning walk was safe and easy. The kitchen has enough dishes and cookware for cooking.
The owners are easy to contact and quick to answer any questions. The housekeeping rules are common sense and easy to follow.
If we had to write a negative (and this is a very minor negative) it would be that the steps down to the pier are steep and a handrail would be helpful for guests with walking or balance issues. We are in our sixties and navigated them well, we were just careful.
Stay at this house. You will not be disappointed.

Cannot recommend this property enough. We love the Village, the house, and the lake is spectacular. This is our 3rd stay and we are already planning on our next stay here. The host is wonderful to communicate with & very helpful. House is spacious, very very clean, lots of room to spread out, stores & restaurants nearby, and a short 25min drive into downtown & all the attractions.

We really enjoyed our stay - everything we needed was there. The house was great, the lighted dock was handy, if only the fish had been more cooperative! We would certainly go back and recommend it to anyone who enjoys the quiet beauty and convenience of the area, and a house that feels like home.

Easy to get ahold of host, resolved our issue without any hassle. Beautiful view of the lake. Quiet and restful.

The house was equipped with just about everything we needed once inside the village. We brought all of our own things to cook and clean with, however, this property was well maintained. The Sun porch was our favorite place to sit and reminisce on old times while BBQ'ing, fishing, and taking in all the beautiful scenery.
The home owner is very nice and accessible.
I would love to stay here again & so should you!

We really enjoyed our stay, it was very relaxing. The house could use a better cleaning than it was. The glass cake holder on the bar was had not been washed. A little dust here and there. But we did enjoy our stay.

This house is very janky. When we arrived we noticed filthy carpets and windows. We spent $50 dollars on jetted tub cleaner (which was also filthy) only to realize the tub didn’t work. After talking to the owner and trying her suggestions to correct it we knew for sure it didn’t work. Was sad that was one of the reasons I rented the house. A chair in the living room and bed in one of the spare rooms were broken. I was hoping to clean the place up a little before the rest of our party arrived only to realize there is no cleaning supplies of any kind. The lake is decent we did enjoy sitting on the dock. Excluding the mentioned issues we really enjoyed the stay

The property was almost perfect for our girlfriends weekend. However, the carpets in the bedrooms needed cleaning. The view was beautiful and the size of the home was perfect for each of us to have our own room. Everything worked properly and the property manager was very responsive to the one item that came up. We are relatively new to VRBO. The properties we have stayed at before had items like salt, pepper, sugar, etc. This property did not; had we have known which is partially our fault, we would have brought those items with us. Separately and due to no fault of the property owners, I had an issue getting through the gate upon first entering. When I arrived I stated which property I was going to. The guard asked what was I there for, and without response from me, she said “are you here to clean.” It is difficult to relay the full details of the occurrence, but, I was insulted by that being her first assumption as it is a resort area. After I provided the name of the property owners and the address, the guard left and returned indicating I would need to provide my contract for the rental. As an attorney, I produced the contract, she then went back to the guard shack and upon returning let me through. I let her know that my 2 friends would be arriving w/in the hour and she said “they will need to produce the contract” as well. The problem is that since I obtained the rental, they would not have the contract, its in my VRBO account. Luckily, the guard that was on duty an hour later, a different woman, let them pass without incident. The property owner did confirm with me that she had left our names at the gate as was her practice. I don’t blame her at all, she did what she could. But, it put a damper on my vacation by starting it off in this way. By mentioning this, I hope that a less offensive process can be used in the future.

We had a wonderful stay. The location was great. Very comfortable accommodations. We enjoyed the screened in porch and the sunroom since we experienced both hot weather and a rainy day. We would definitely stay there again.

Location, Location, Location
We chose Karen’s lake home due to the location. It is just inside the West Gate and a short walk from the shaded multi-purpose trail. The house provides incredible lake views from the living room, master, kitchen, breakfast nook, screened porch, sunroom and patio. The kitchen is well outfitted and the Char-Griller did a great job on steaks and burgers. The large covered dock accommodated our two kayaks and proved to be a good place to catch fish and the “no wake” zone provided a wonderful area for swimming or floating. The beds were comfortable and books and games were plentiful. All in all, we couldn’t have picked a more perfect spot for our sibling reunion.

Hot springs village vacation’22
Had a total of 6 in our group . 4 adults, 2 kids ages 10 and 16. The house was very clean and had access to the owner via telephone. She called to check in on us and we were able to contact her without any problems. Location was great. We didn’t take advantage to the pool or any other activities the village offered. But everything was super close if we had wanted too. We did rent a pontoon one day and went to the beach . Was a wonderful time. Would definitely recommend a day or more of that. Also a couple minutes away was a local restaurant Homeplate. Food was staff were great.! We had a wonderful week stay and definitely go back.

Beautiful view and property was perfect for our family.
Property rental was the easiest and most convenient experience we’ve had with VRBO. Owner responded quickly. Didn’t need much since all the instructions, directions and anything we might want or need was provide to us with the initial email! Great experience🤩

Great get away place
This property was absolutely enjoyable! We enjoyed everything this place offered us! Clean, quiet, peaceful, and private! The owners were easy to communicate with and very responsive. Our check-in and check-out process was very easy for us.
The walk-in shower with a seat was really awesome for my friend with a bad knee!
This is a great place for adults to all be together, but also have time alone (with 3 nice bedrooms). Each bedroom has its own television! We loved listening to the birds while sitting on the enclosed porch and visiting! Wish we could have stayed longer!
The only thing we found missing was a guest book to sign in and share our thoughts about the place with others! We bought a cheap composition book and started it off for the owners!
We are hopeful to stay here again in the future!

Our time at this home was perfect!
We enjoyed the comfortable living room, the cozy sunroom, and the patio with its outstanding view of the lake and peaceful cove. The kitchen was supplied well with small appliances and everything we needed to prepare our meals. The home was so clean and welcoming! We plan on going again!

Quiet place to relax and enjoy the view.
Great place to stay. The view of the lake and surrounding hills is picture worthy and visible form the majority of the rooms. The view can be enjoyed in all weather with the outdoor seating to the screened porch to the sun room. Quiet neighborhood that isn't far from Hot springs. We'd stay here again.

Perfect getaway with friends
Hot Springs Village is the perfect halfway location to meet with friends. The house was in a great location with private access to a dock and a sitting area by the water. The house was comfortable and had everything we needed. Communicating with the owner was easy with prompt replies. Very satisfied with our stay and will stay again if given the opportunity.
