About this house rental
Clean & Serene house is the epitome of a relaxing getaway for families on vacation or passing through Memphis, groups of friends or colleagues in town for work. This urban bungalow offers a beautiful outdoor graveled living area with fire pit (s’more supplies & firewood provided). Inside the story continues with stylish concrete floors & decor, a full kitchen set for a several-day stay & comfy bedrooms. Our guests love that love that it’s 1 block from the shops of the Broad Ave arts District.
If you need anything, you’re right down the street from the host’s home (check out 3500+ 5-star reviews). We are more than happy to answer questions or offer help if you need it. Just text or call and we'll either come by or if our family is out of town when you are there, a neighbor will be available as well.
We hope you thoroughly enjoy our wonderfully diverse & transitional neighborhood. It’s our favorite part of Memphis, a beautiful example of poverty and affluence living side by side. You might meet some of our International Community, see urban gardens, colorful artwork, and eccentric neighbors. We're a short drive (or a long walk) from one of the best zoos in the nation, Overton Park (with walking/running trails, dog park, playgrounds & more).
Broad Ave arts district is across Sam Cooper and an easy walk. City & State is great for coffee and gifts, Wiseacre for craft beers, Broadway Pizza, & Bounty for a nice dinner out and lots more.
You have access to the whole house except for the attic. As mentioned above, there is a studio apt connected to the back where other guests may be staying or that you can rent in addition for more space. The patio and backyard are shared spaces. Parking in the driveway is reserved for the studio guests but you will have your own spot next to the driveway or are welcome to park on the well-lit, low-traffic street In front of the house. No events, gatherings, or parties are allowed at this listing. If you are interested in hosting an event, the whole property can be rented out under certain conditions. Please reach out to us and we can discuss.
2-bedroom, 1 bath home with comfy living room and full kitchen - range, microwave, dishwasher, and full fridge/freezer (water dispenser & icemaker broken but we provide a pitcher of cold water & ice). Access to coffee maker (with local organic coffee) and breakfast snacks, s’mores supplies, pots & pans, dishes, cutlery, glasses, etc. Washer/Dryer, wi-fi, 2 Smart TVs. Shady backyard (enclosed on 3 sides) & patio.
Connected to a studio apartment in the back (for rent separately)—you have exclusive use of the house, totally private & inaccessible. We use hospital-grade filters for heating & air that capture any bacteria and viruses so no cross-contamination is possible.
Queen bed in the master, Twin over Full bunk bed with floor mattress in the front bedroom, sleeper sofa, airbed, & foldaway beds available as well. Plenty of closets for storage and space to stretch out and relax during your stay in Memphis.
Centrally located in the heart of Memphis––5min drive (or long walk) to the zoo / Overton Park & 10 to Downtown. We're superhosts at our home down the street & are available if you need us. Pls see below for extra fees.
The house is right off Sam Cooper (connects with I-40) & near Poplar ave, the main thoroughfare through Memphis. Bus stops are close by on Poplar/Collins or Summer/Bingham (check online Maps for transit directions). Uber is also a great option for travel in Memphis.
We love Memphis and love our 901 neighbors. We have largely had very positive experiences hosting through Airbnb but the rare negative event has been with guests from Memphis. For that reason we do not allow locals to rent our home. We would invite you to consider one of our smaller studio apartments.
Your stay provides a living wage for a refugee family who lives in the neighborhood and provides the housecleaning. Also, we donate a percentage of the profit from your stay to nonprofits that connect people in need with temporary housing. Thank you for staying with us!
We can usually provide an earlier check-in or later checkout with a $25 fee for the extra coordination with housekeeping that is required. Just message us and we’ll let you know if possible.
Pets are welcome but there will be a $15 fee per pet for extra cleanup often required. This is in addition to the regular rate and the fee for one pet is usually applied automatically or can be paid through an app (as well as balance for additional pets).
We are located right near an elementary school. Please be careful when coming & going in the morning and afternoon :-)
While our cancellation policy is set as strict, reach out to us if plans change. We usually are able to provide a full refund if someone else books our place after you cancel.
The following does NOT apply to reservations made on Airbnb (who has their own vetting & resolution process). For all other booking platforms, guests are required to complete our pre-arrival process including a photo of a valid ID, signing our rental conditions, and submitting a valid credit or debit card to be pre-approved for a security deposit (card will not be charged just authorized in case of damage or rule violation). This process needs to be completed before check-in.

Short drive to Beale Street 15 mins to Graceland enjoyed our stay

The house was clean and we appreciated the snacks left for us on the kitchen counter. Thanks again!

Overall, it’s a good home in a very good neighborhood. Very close to downtown and memphis most popular attractions. But the smoke issue was bad, unfortunately. The lingering smoke smell was very strong. And the rug was very much dirty.

We were in town for a quick spring break stay with our two kids. This house was perfect for what we needed. The kids enjoyed the bunk beds, and we had a comfortable living room and kitchen area to be in after they went to bed. We were very central to the zoo as well as downtown. We loved our visit here!

Property is well kept. We only stayed one night, but it was clean and easy to find!

Great rental. Great host. We will be back.

No problems at all

We had a great time. It was conveniently located and clean and functional. We never received any email traffic about the specifics of checkout so we did what we thought made sense.

The house is very comfortable, especially for dogs, and Jamey always checks if everything is going well. The house is 15 minutes from the park, and Broad St. has some interesting new enterprises. The only issue is that the neighbor's dogs bark a lot when someone is in the backyard. I noticed they are building a new wood fence; hope this will solve this. It's my top choice for staying in Memphis.

Overall good place to stay. Nice space for the family. Not as well stocked as some places. Kids had a blast on the bunk bed. Nice area out back but not necessarily a quiet neighborhood. Dog and traffic noises but if that’s something that doesn’t bother you then it is great.

In town for one night! Perfect accommodations!

This was a nice house! It was very clean. The rest of the street was a bit dilapidated, and the backyard wasn’t what we expected for use of the fire pit. The chairs outside were uncomfortable.
I would stay closer to Midtown next time, but I can’t complain about the cleanliness of this place!

Communication with the owners was very easy.

Really enjoyed my stay felt like being at home.

This house was great! Very clean, air conditioned, and spacious. The only issue was the non use of the backyard because we anticipated letting our dogs out in the backyard and having fires.

Good.
Difficulty locking up when leaving.

A sweet place to rest after a long day of driving!

My family and I plus our two dogs were passing through and had the pleasure of staying here, close to GraceLand which was huge bonus…. We will absolutely staying here again whenever we come that way. Thank you

Nice place to stay on the way to Ohio. Comfortable, clean, lots of suggestions for things to do. Neighborhood was a bit unkempt, but quiet.

Jaime & Michelle were great. We had one minor issue, my own fault, and Jaime helped work it out. The location was near some great restaurants (Try the Liquor store for breakfast) and beautiful Overland Park.

We only stayed one night as we were just passing through Memphis on our way to Arkansas. The house was clean, easy to get to, and met our needs. We found some really neat eateries and a HUGE dog park nearby. Thanks for letting us rent your home to stay in.

Location was near everything. Owner was easy to contact Overall good
Property wasn’t as clean as I would like and street had a lot of debris on it ( no fault of owner. It was neighbors )

We (the pup and I) were traveling home from TX and this was a perfect location to so that trip. Only non positive mention I have is the street. Not great for walking the dog as there was lots of trash on both sides of the neighbors sidewalk making the walk icky to say the least. But other than that easy access to highways, resources and a great place to stay.
4.8
The property was perfect for us. It was convenient to everything and well maintained. Being able to bring our dog and having a fenced yard made our stay even better. We appreciated the thoughtfulness of the host to provide a case of water upon our arrival. We will definitely stay there again when we are back in Memphis.

House was modernized inside and open plan. Very clean. Nice stained concrete floors for pets. Rooms good size. Easy access to I-40 East. Close to Memphis Zoo. Only cons with driveway parking on gravel by fence (paved would be better); no grass in fenced backyard for pets and limited grass in front yard for pets. Main multilane street in front of house was noisy and nearby train whistling. Workers on house on street showed up in front of rental at 6am with diesel engines going (nothing an owner can control).

We are so glad we picked this location for our overnight stop in Memphis. Beautiful place! Owners are close by and are easy to reach. We loved the recommended restaurants & places to see. A 10/10!

The home was very clean and we appreciated the coffee supplies and snacks provided. The house is located near a busy road and traffic can be loud. The mattress on the bottom bunk in the front bedroom is very soft. It’s a good rental for bringing your dog.
4.8
The house was clean and comfortable. Not too far from Beale Street or the river and about 15 minutes to Graceland. Easy to get an Uber. Enjoyed our stay. We felt safe in the house, but I wasn’t comfortable walking around the neighborhood. But we drove everywhere so it wasn’t a problem.
4.8
Very nice place and easy to get to. I would say the only problem I had was the neighbor starting up his loud truck in the middle of the night but that is not their fault. We will definitely use then again if we go back to Memphis. Thanks to the gracious host.

Cozy house
We stopped here for one night on our way to the beach. The house was just as described and very clean. We had plenty of room for our family of seven. It was very close to the Memphis Botanic Garden that we visited. We would have stayed here again on our way back if it would have been available.
