Loved waking up in the morning to the rural sound of cows and sheep from the neighbouring farm. The view from the cottage is wonderful, very relaxing to sit on the patio taking it all in. The resident alpacas are so friendly and being able to feed them was a highlight. Our hosts were lovely, making us feel at home right away and gave us recommendations for places to eat when we met up with family. The cottage is well appointed too, we felt we had everything we needed for our stay. It has a big comfy bed..a big plus.
We cannot wait until we can return for another stay.
Nothing..we found it a perfect spot.

Isolated location. Peaceful. Easy access to local facilities and all Yorkshire Dales within easy reach. Perfect location.
Hosts night benefit from tweaking the ‘ How things work’ folder for a couple of little challenges we had upon our arrival.
Both hob and TV Freesat would not function .. until spoke to our hosts .. seems that the TV cabinet door needs to be left open and cooking hob needs to be unlocked.

Wonderful, peaceful location with stunning views from the property. Quality accommodation and Trevor and Jules have a great eye for detail. Very comfortable bed and a thoughtful welcome pack which included artisan bread, homemade jam and flapjacks, eggs from their chickens, milk, butter, tea and coffee. Lovely to sit watching the wild rabbits, chickens, cattle and the characterful alpacas. Walks from the doorstep and loads of OS maps and walk ideas available in the cottage which suited us perfectly. Great communication with Jules throughout. Would definitely recommend a meal at the Craven Arms pub at Appletreewick and Cocoa Joe's if you love quality chocolate. We would stay again. 10/10.

Easy to follow instructions provided by the hosts. Hosts were both lovely, helpful and very friendly. Gorgeous alpacas who appreciated a few chopped carrots. Ducks, chickens, sheep all keeping us company. Just a fabulous place.

We really enjoyed the peace and quiet The End Place provided us. We went here for a minimoon after our wedding for some time alone in the countryside and this gave us exactly what we wanted. Being able to feed the alpaca's, sheep, chickens and ducks was great fun too!
The facilities served us very well, it was clean and comfortable with a good shower, the hosts were very friendly too.
We would recommend staying here for a nice peaceful break away.

The location is stunning and tranquil and covid safe. Our friendly hosts had sent full instructions requesting we phone on our arrival at the gate. The End Place has its own entrance and is very private attached to the barn on the end and has a key safe in the wall. The arrivals and departure file was very clear and it explained all the facilities and contactless check in and check out procedures. Laminated walking maps are provided. We were allowed to feed the alpacas with carrots and we enjoyed the sheep, chickens, and ducks too. Beautiful fresh eggs. The wildlife scene is amazing to watch from the glass wall - rabbits, hares, stoats, birds, roe deer, bats and clear starry night skies. The perfect romantic retreat.

We absolutely love this place! The attention to detail was perfect and the lovely hosts really thought about everything! Jules and Trevor are so lovely and complete naturals at hosting guests. From the wonderful homemade hamper of goodies on arrival to saying our goodbyes, we thoroughly fell in love with this place and have already booked to go back next year! We loved having breakfast out on the terrace, especially when the chickens and the charismatic ducks came to say good morning! It was wonderful to watch all of the animals and hear the vast range of local birds too! An absolute treat to hear the curlews every morning. We absolutely adored the sheep and alpacas. They are so friendly and funny to watch. The bed was super comfy and the whole place is really cosy. We felt like we had had a retreat when we left. We are already counting down the days until our next visit.
Nothing!

The End Place is a classic 1904 barn, typical of the locality - that warm honey coloured stone. Inside it is finished to an excellent contemporary style being spacious and tasteful. The view out of the 'landscape' window is a delight with expansive views east over a surprisingly changing vista - all curtesy of the light. The property is warm showing attention to insulation (over 1000 feet in North Yorkshire) a good move! The floors and staircase are a master stroke.
The temperature of the hot water could have been hotter.
