Clean, comfortable room.
Pleasant staff, especially the waitress on Saturday evening. Although the breakfast was extra, it was very good.
The room was cold when we arrived & took a long time to warm up due to the underfloor heating.

Warm welcome , room excellent

Good size room, excellent food and good location.
Only thing was an uncomfortable bed. Staff were kind enough to give us extra duvet to lay on.

The nearest town, Masham, was very nice for places to eat and drink and had some interesting shops, pubs and cafes.
There was also some stunning countryside, places of interest and historical sites within a short drive/long walk/cycle.
Didn't start great. Check in took about an hour, as the staff had no knowledge of the booking, the manager claimed to have no knowledge of the booking, but then said that he'd seen in my email that I had a dog and was disabled. Had to wait on hold for about 20 minutes while booking.com begged with the manager to allow me to stay. Not a very nice experience at all.
Didn't get a very disabled friendly room. Just standard bath with shower in. Managed, loved the bath (because I haven't had one for so long), but it really wasn't ideal or indeed safe for me.
No disabled parking by room and actually had to park round front of pub on last night.
Was in room closest to back of the pub meaning that from 3pm but usually earlier, there'd be people gathered chatting outside the cardboard-thin door of my room which you could literally see daylight through. The noise from this plus the fact that the room above had wooden floors meant it really wasn't a very peaceful escape.

Ice cream was expensive for quality and quantity.

Lovely location - chilled back vibe - nice big bed
Food was lovely when it finally arrived - luckily we aren’t people who time things but it was over 50 mins of waiting
it was busy … but was told at 6:30 pm that they were running out of fish and chips …. The restaurant had only been open an hour?? if that ….
Menu limited … really do need to offer more options
The room allegedly had under floor heating
it didn’t kick in until 11 pm - meaning we woke up in a sauna
Prices of drinks replicated a posh wine bar in Leeds
Charging me a £1 for a splash of Diet Coke in my mixer. I mean come on …. (It’s was out of a bottle of Pepsi which in itself cost a quid or more from the supermarket)
I get that dogs should be allowed in local pubs - but allowing them to sit on chairs - crazy
Both me and my partner are allergic and could barely breathe
lovely little place but over priced for minimal options at both main meal and breakfast
overpriced drinks and food
long wait
useless heating system

Stayed here before and will stay again. Rooms basic but with everything you need. Very clean with large comfortable bed.
Village location, so very quiet with extensive stunning views over open country.
Hotel manager was very friendly and helpful. Food excellent with large portions.
No unnecessary frills just a good honest country hotel.
Only slight drawback location 2 miles from town but not really a problem

Pretty village in a lovely part of the county. Homely, lively bar and a good pint of Black Sheep. The staff we met did their best, and the steak and ale pie was good.
The room we stayed in was really overpriced - a 'superior' room for 200 quid if you include the extra we paid for breakfast. The rooms are in a rather dreary annex at the back of the pub, overlooking a caravan park. There is a great view but the way the rooms are arranged you can't really see it. Rather than being oddly large, there is nothing 'superior' about the room: bog standard fittings, no plugs near the bed, no little touches or treats and not even a bar of soap in the bathroom - just a dispenser of nasty blue handwash. Worst of all, some kind of noisy pump kept kicking in all night somewhere in the building and kept us awake.

Lovely family and pet friendly venue in a beautiful location. staff were very accommodating and made us feel very welcome. we had trouble with a pervious venue regarding having a child under 1 however this was not an issue and made us feel very comfortable.
Feel that the cleanliness of the room could be improved. There was a lot of spiders (obviously this can not be helped) but this then meant a lot of cobwebs which looked liked they had been there awhile considering the amount there was. We had also been out our second day to a wedding and when returning our bed had been made but not definitely not changed (also not an issue as only stayed two nights) however there was stuff all over the bed that we had to shake off and glasses and cutlery from the night before not removed. Outside our room was also storage cupboards which meant staff coming very loudly to collect stuff which did disturb our 2 month old a little and made me and my husband jump a few times. We still had a very lovely stay and the staff were lovely. (Can not comment on breakfast as we did this off the premises with the wedding party)
