About this cottage rental
Seymour Cottage is a cosy Victorian cottage centrally located in the picturesque Norfolk Broads village of Horning and is just across the road from the river. Features include entrance hall, bathroom, open plan lounge/kitchen, 2 double bedrooms, TV, CD Player, DVD player, electric storage heating, front courtyard garden, secluded upstairs patio, use of small private staithe on the river, private car parking. COTTAGE SWAPS CONSIDERED.
What can I do here?: The three main attractions are the Norfolk Broads (rivers and lakes) with rural countryside, the historic cathedral city of Norwich and the wonderful sandy Norfolk Coastline including the bustling seaside resorts of Cromer and Great Yarmouth. All this is less than 30 minutes drive from the cottage.
What are the Norfolk Broads?: The Norfolk Broads are a unique combination of slow meandering rivers with beautiful lakes (locally known as Broads). The river banks include thatched cottages with immaculate lawns (and gardens), reed beds (used for roof thatching) and many pretty staithes (a local word for a place to moor your boat). The best way to enjoy this wonderful National Park is either on-foot or by boat. Boats can be either hired (by the hour or day) or take an organised trip - Norfolk boats are either motor cruisers or traditional wooden sailing yachts.

Lovely holiday generally very clean and neat and tidy.
Cushions/pillows could do with a change as they are bit old/stained but generally the cottage and location were lovely and i would definitley stay again

Seymour cottage was so much nicer than we thought it would be. Super cozy and warm. It was perfect for our 4 night break seeing family at Christmas.
Very clean. Very well equipped. Just right.

Lovely cottage, great location to visit the Broads and Norwich. Easy to communicate with the host.

We love the Norfolk Broads and have already had a boating holiday this year so fancied something different. So we booked Seymour Cottage. Its a lovely cosy little cottage with everything you could possibly want or need. It doesn't have a riverside view but is straight opposite the pub which is on the river. Fabulous stay and would recommend.

We were NOT impressed with the lack of checking that all equipment worked. Fridge damaged..Micro-wave not working. Batteries "flat" in remote controls. Window loose on its hinges etc.
4.7
Spotlessly clean, comfortable, excellent location. Arrangement of bathroom & outside seating area awkward positions but would return immediately!

Renting was really easy, good communications and easy access

Delightful stay in Seymour Cottage, Horning
Seymour Cottage has a lovely cosy feel. It is in beautiful condition and is well appointed. Also, our bed was very comfortable.
The central position in Horning puts it within very short walking distance (5 minutes or so) of two great pub/resteraunts and a couple of lovely cafes.
We really enjoyed our stay.

lovely holiday, well appointed cotty
had a great holiday, plenty to do with several pubs, excellent fish restaurant, canoe cycle and boat hire all within walking distance. also very nice walks from cottage.patio lovely place to relax.wifi good.only negatives- boatyard obscures most of river view and some noise from 7.30am, smoke alarm very sensitive and went off even with toaster. on positive side parking ok for one medium size car, and fridge had small freezer compartment so could make ice cubes!
4.7
The cottage had everything we needed for a short stay. Clean, well equipped and in a fabulous location. Horning has everything, riverside pubs, restaurants and lots of other shops. So, even though it has everything it is still a nice quiet small village.

We had a very comfortable stay at Seymour Cottage. The cottage had everything we could possibly want and was spotlessly clean. The information Ruth sent us was very helpful and it was so nice to have information on trips out and where to eat. We would definitely recommend Seymour Cottage to friends.

Cottage was nice, but would have liked a nicer outlook than facing a boat yard
Was all I could get at short notice due to my previous chosen cottage being sold by owner.Had a lovely holiday though.

Pleasant
The process was efficient and the host sent lots of useful information. The little upstairs courtyard was great for morning coffee and the cottage is very well situated. It is thoughtfully equipped, cosy and comfortable. We had a good time!

Nice cottage in a great location
We used the cottage as a base whilst property hunting. Nice and clean, and feels bigger than it actually is.
4.7
... as a base when visiting family nearby over our Christmas break. Despite the dreary December weather, the cottage was warm and welcoming and had everything we required. Ruth provided us with lots of useful information and was available if we had any problems (we didn't).

Great location
Lovely little cottage located in Central Horning. Parked a large van just fine on the driveway and enjoyed a relaxed weekend fishing and exploring the broads by boat. Only downside is setting the smoke alarm off in the main living area whenever oven was turned on! All in all a lovely weekend using this little cottage as a great base!

A characterful cottage in the centre of Horning
A cosy cottage in the centre of Horning, ideally located for touring the Broads and the beautiful countryside of Norfolk.
Well equipped with all the basics needed for a couples stay.
Parking is a little tight but once you get used to reversing in it does work.

The Hobbit House
A lovely little house that we named the Hobbit House. It had everything we needed. In a great location. No complaints at all.

Excellent location
This cottage is very quaint , small and compact and although there’s a terrace off the rear bedroom it lacks seating area with any kind of view , we had a few minor issues regarding the bins not being emptied prior to our arrival and a few cleanliness issues but the owner was prompt to message me back and tried to resolve this

Seymour Cottage
Lovely little cottage spotlessly clean, very comfortable bed, had to contact the owner with a minor problem easy to get in touch with and very helpful, ideal location with just a short walk to the amenities, thoroughly enjoyed our week's holiday would definitely recommend.

Noisy early starts from boat yard opposite including Saturday and Sundays. Bathroom downstairs not ideal. Kitchen adequate and well equipped. Outside decking area partly overgrown with brambles so not very useable.

Lovely little cottage which had everything we needed. Perfectly located for boat hire 10 min walk away, Chinese takeaway 2 min walk and village centre 5mins away. We had lovely meals at the Swan Inn and Bure River Cottage restaurant. Cosy warm cottage, shower good and powerful too. Great communication with the owner Ruth too. Would have loved a washing machine/tumble dryer for our towels but not sure where it would go and we managed fine for the week. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Comfortable accommodation
Very pleasant week in the lovely village of Horning. The property is as described, and has everything for a week's stay available, including wifi which wasn't available when we booked.
The upstairs patio is a suntrap, and the communication with Ruth, the owner, was always prompt and friendly.
Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
