Comfortable but skip the breakfast

The rooms are quite nice and comfortable.

The breakfast is terrible. Coleslaw sandwiches one morning and then salad and biscuts the next? No one eats this for breakfast. We tried to order an omelet but it never came. Also hot water is not reliable.

Excellent location. Clean. At USD 29 / EUR 26 per night, it looks like a good value.

The location is excellent; Jawalakhel seems one of the nicest neighborhoods in Lalitpur district, far from city noise yet within walking distance to many amenities (groceries, cafes, banks, pharmacies, and mall). Reasonable distance by taxi to the main Kathmandu university, Tribhuvan. The rooms are modest size, yet they share a spacious common seating area that significantly expands their utility. Room service was satisfactory most of the time, and if they forgot something, they were standing by to replenish it. Standard breakfast (sandwiches, eggs, fruit, and fresh juice) occasionally was enriched with local dishes such as paratha which was a nice touch.

A refrigerator would be a nice touch. To me it is more important than TV. If not possible in every room, there may be a shared one in the common living area. Hot water was limited on cloudy days, which are most days during monsoon season, as apparently it comes from solar heater.

Quiet and peaceful stay.

24hrs security. Situated in a quiet area. Complementary breakfast. Attentive and friendly staff. Accessibility of transportation. Near to coffee shops, convenience store and restaurants.

They only serve breakfast. They don't have lunch or dinner.

Its the best place to stay in the area but could be so much better if staff catered to the guest

The facilities are really nice. Quiet, and clean. Location is great.

The staff are not very accommodating. Breakfast cannot be before 8 and parking not available even though there is space. I've stayed there 4 times and every time is different. Need to work on consistency. Coffee is not always available.

Best Stay in KTM

This is my favorite guest house in KTM. Rooms are very comfortable, area feels secure & breakfast in excellent.

Not the best

I paid for 2 nights and I only got to stay 1 night because of a personal errand. The owner did not give any discounts and instead got me to pay for not so expensive food and even 1 extra water bottle. When I asked he brought up different charges.

Definitely recommend

Great value for money. Generous breakfast (I stayed for a week and it was different every morning), lovely staff, clean and secure. I work online so a comfortable room is important - the air con in my room was strong, there was enough space for me to set up my computer and it was quiet with no distractions. For when I wanted to relax, the TV had many channels too. The area is nice - quiet and relaxed with a number of cafes nearby. I definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a stay in the area, and I actually will be returning in a few weeks. Looking forward to it!

The property is situated in a very convenient location. The rooms were clean and well maintained. The staffs were really helpful and accommodating. They also served a generous complimentary breakfast every morning with large fruit bowls, fresh fruit juice, tea/coffee and a new dish every morning which was such a pleasant surprise! We had a wonderful stay at this retreat, will definitely come back in future!
