Breakfast was good
Location good as we could walk to a lot of the central attractions
Spa / sauna area was dirty
Breakfast seamed to be understaffed
Included tours were not really tours, but transport to the locations

One of the finest hotels in Kathmandu blending tradition and modern architecture. It is located at a 2 minute walk to Durbar Marg, which has various brands shops on both sides, small malls, cafes and restaurants. All major sightseeing locations are either 15 minutes walk away or 15-20 minutes drive.
The property has a huge garden, artificial lake, tennis courts and excellent conference facilities.
Staff is friendly and helpful, and makes extra efforts to make guests feel at home. The service at breakfast could be improved, though.
The hotel has a warm and welcoming vibe to it.
I would definitely stay here again on my next trip to Kathmandu.

Beautiful garden, good restaurant and spa.
Not so good organized: when we came they said we must pay at once, although we had already paid in advance , this should not happen in a 5 star hotel, and they did not answer our questions we had sent them in advance. AND the outside of the window was full birdshit and had not been washed for the last 10 years.

Very nice hotel. Comfortable rooms but a little hot and stuffy. Breakfast was a little underwhelming but compared to other hotels in Kathmandu this place is excellent

Quiet location. Nice quiet grounds and good breakfast.
Away from the action in Thamel.

Currency conversion was very difficult. Indian small notes of Rs 200/- or 500/- was not
Exchangeable making the trip from India difficult . The Hotel should do something about it. I had first to convert INR to NPR and then make payment leading to exchange charges paid in the market. 😩

This is a lovely 5 star hotel. very comfortable rooms (although somewhat small), two great restaurants. Most of the staff really lovely.
the hotel was great when quiet, but was extremely busy over the Easter weekend. Had to wait for a table at breakfast, and reception staff seemed a bit hassled!

Great location with beautiful gardens. Unfortunately the rooms (and bathrooms in particular) are more old and in need of complete renovation than faded glamour. Bathrooms on par with 2 star facilities found on mountain treks.
The WiFi is very patchy and unreliable. Stayed in two other Kathmandu hotels during trip with perfect WiFi.

Hotel is outdated and need a lot of fixing

Power (multi)plug at workdesk, incl usb connector for cell-phone recharging. Roaming wlan, for not having reconnecting all the time.
