The host was amazing.
He offer towels and soap once you arrived.
And he is willing to help you with accommodation at a full season or arrange something for you.
And he try to give you the information you need.
The reason I booked the hostel is because of the host.

Great place to stay if you're on a budget and Moses the owner will take care of you.He advised me on a lot of things to do and how to save your money 💰 Thanks Moses.
People were smoking in the bedroom

Close to the center, very clean, free coffee and water, terrace outside for smoking. But most of all, the kindness of Moises, the owner, which make you feel completely at home and it’s always available for sharing useful advices regarding Oaxaca. I strongly recommend it!

Very helpful host and a really cozy hostel. En suite kitchen. A good location about a 15 minute walk to the center of town and 5 minutes from combis to take you to Monte Alban for a good price. Wifi in the rooms was strong, and the lockers are very big.
No issues at all.

One of the best hosts I have encountered - Moises was very friendly and attentive, he provided all the information I needed, showed guests around the city - excellent hospitality! With the information given, I was able to visit Monte Alban and El Tule (the tree) by myself.
It’s a non party hostel and located a bit out of the centre, that’s why I liked it even more. Hot showers, equipped kitchen, clean and safe. Definitely recommended!

Trotamundo is run by the greatest guy ever. This man took so much time out of his own day to make sure that I was experiencing the city to the fullest. He genuinely cared and treated me like a friend. The first night I was there, he had us all try mezcal on the terrace and it was amazing. His insider info made it an absolute pleasure to be in Oaxaca and I got to see so much beyond the regular touristy stuff. I can't recommend the hostel and Moises enough!

Great host and great value, would stay again!
This hostel is still getting established and it would be nice to see some small improvements like art on the walls, reading lamps and outlets at each bed, etc. Still had a great stay here!

The place is very clean, the bed was comfortable.
All equipments needed for cooking were there.
The person working there was very amicable and made me feel at home. He also provided me with numerous useful tips about the city. Thank you again.
The place is about 10min walk from the center, and very quiet.

The owner is an amazing guy....just stay there because of him...very helpful and fluent in English,he also took us for a private trip outside the popular places and then even dropped us off at Mount Alban...
the place is clean, very quiet, because it's not in the city centre, good location to the bus station too...also great local coffee :)

Moses is the nicest host ever. Speaks English, has lots of info about places to see, very accommodating. There are sturdy lockers, a kitchen, coffee and he can provide more utensils if you need them. 10 min walk from the center, next to a big supermarket. Mosquito nets. I shared the room with a German girl who was very quiet and polite so I slept like a baby.
Totally recommended. Que Dios te bendiga, Moses.
Whoever puts anything bad in this section is negative:))

The owner, as everyone says, is one of the most professional and attentive hosts I've ever had. His family was having party in the afternoon, and he invited me and any guest at hostel to come eat and hang out. How cool is that? I didn't love that if someone wants coffee at 7am and your sleeping, it's made in the same room, but the beds are comfy and everything else was rad. Thank you for hosting me !

Moses was very kind and informative. He kindly let us leave our bags when we went out for the day. The is water provided, a kitchen, a nice outside space to sit and small garden. The bed was comfortable.

Excellent host, offered good suggestions on what to do while in Oaxaca and booked a couple of tours for me at a lower price than what others in the group had paid.
The location is good, 10-15min from the Zocalo and there's an Oxxo and a supermarket close by.
On the last day, I had a tour that lasted until 6pm and I was allowed to leave by bag behind, as well as use the facilities when I returned.
Overall a great experience.
Nothing.

Super friendly, helpful host. Nice atmosphere.
It is a few block outside of the center, not the nicest streets to walk in the evening.

I booked a dorm but there was no space and stayed in a privat room with do additional costs.
Internet, but that problem goes for whole Oaxaca

I have a problem giving rating this one 6.0, as I liked the place and the host. And I guess that not in the high season it's great. However...
I paid more than 1.000 mxn for 1 night at the shared room. This is way too much, even if there is dia de muertos and all hostels are booked. I paid less for 2 nights having a room only for myself in the same city, 2 days ealier.
6.0
Very simple hostel stay, with the basic comforts available. Ok with location as long as you don't mind a 20 minute walk to the city! The host was really nice and accommodating, always helped, picked up the phone and was available to help.
If you like a quiet place, I would not recommend this. The shared room has 15 beds, and the kitchen is in the middle of it, which makes it very noisy and sometimes smelly, if people are cooking or having dinner...right in the middle of the room.
6.0
Flexible checkout and willing to accomodate a few blocks from centro.
EVEN IF YOUR THINGS ARE IN A PRIVATE ROOM LOCK THEM UP. Be *very* careful what you share with him including photo identification. Not sure what he does with it.
The owner was very nice to my face however, I got a *very* bad check in my spirit about him. I left to check my bus ticket and he entered into my room and went through my things "cleaning" yet nothing was cleaned. I don't recommend traveling here alone there is a very eerie feeling from each interaction with him. Look past how he treats you and check his spirit or even look into his eyes. For the spiritually intelligent and discerning, there are OTHER PLACES! A creep of a classifiaction yet to be revealed.
I arrived and each advance, I retreated 3 steps, he either cannot read human social cues or did not care.

The attention of the owner is fantastic - he went out of his way to ensure the most comfortable stay, and the surrounding areas.
Very comfy bed.
Good location for walking to the Centro, and even for walking to Monte Alban (took about 50 mins), and supermarket.
Superb raspado stall just down the road.
The internet could be more consistent.

The owner of the place is fantastic. He is very interested in his guests and their travels, it felt definitely more like "Couchsurfing" then "Hotel" here.
Their was free water + free coffee (one of the best i ever had - and i live in Colombia...).
For me the location was perfect, 10 Minutes by foot outside the touristy old town, very good and cheap restaurants and Mezcalerias nearby!
I guess, if the rooms are full of people in main/high season, it would be pretty noisy, the rooms are separated just by thin "walls".
10.0
The owner is super nice, there is cleaning regularly,, the garden area is very nice too and it's super clean.
You have free water and the beds are very comfy too.
The price is too cheap I think. So just go there and have a good time.
It's like a 15 min walk to the center but it's not too bad you can either walk or take a taxi
