Breakfast was ok but nothing special
The shower didn't work, no hot water. There was a lot of noise from other rooms and outside the building including a bunch of drunks at 4 30am.

Location was great, only a 10 min walk into the centre. The check in man was lovely and stayed up late for us as our train arrived past check in time.
Maybe a bit better shower pressure.

Room was clean, beds comfy and location perfect. Receptionist was very helpful. Managed to get me some ice for my foot after I injured myself at the fair and allowed us a late check out.
The breakfast was a little underwhelming at one piece of each option. There was also a confusion with our order as partner didn't want mushrooms on their fry up but I did. Both plates came out with no mushrooms.

The location was handy
The retreat has an overwhelming smell of blocked drains. It was so offensive that my father in law was unable to stay in his allocated room and chose to drive home as the smell was so strong he would have been unable to sleep. There was also construction work going on next door, and a step outside the front door which was a danger, and another guest tripped over it whilst we were there.

Breakfast was substantial with a good limited buffet-station.

Good location. Close to the city center and the seaside.
First of all the fire alarm rang around midnight and no one turned up to check why the fire alarm rang and if everybody was safe. As this building is a separate one than their main building, owners had no idea about the fire alarm. When we came back to our room after waiting outside for the alarm to stop, we saw a massive spider on the room curtain. Clearly the room needs deep cleaning. Considering we paid such a high price, we expected better experience.

Everything was comfortable and clean, and the staff were available/ helpful. The bed was great
Tomato with the cooked breakfast

Staff were really lovely and breakfast was great
walking 7 flights of stairs for a cigerette or anything else!!!

The staff at the canteen were very friendly and good breakfast
Family room can do with a microwave at least, the bathroom sink taps were very hard to wash hands etc as the taps were far too short enabling us to get our hands quite under the taps.

Breakfast was very good on the two days we stayed. Cooked breakfast was as you would expect. Was offered a selection of hot drinks not just tea or coffee
Nothing I can think of

It wasn't far the Plymouth Hoe. Clean and bright room.
It felt a little like student accommodation, the house was quite loud and no staff on site to talk to. Breakfast felt a little chaotic.

it was ok
no Wi-Fi, poor customer service, separate buildings etc

staff were very friendly and helpful
paid for 3 rooms with bathrooms but on arrival one of the rooms had a shared bathroom, we did not say anything about this as we had already arrived very late and decided we would allow our friends to share our bathroom but had we have been staying longer it would have been very disappointing for a room that cost £100 a night!

Very good location, near the habour and the park, close to the tourist area. Every places within 20 minute walk.
Room in good size and clean.
Staffs are friendly and helpful. Also provided city map and guidance for tourist
Breakfast are good with various choice.
The lock for the room need a bit of work to open it. But overall, it is fine.

Breakfast was great
The shower was a bit too small and the knob to turn off the shower was stiff.
On my second day someone entered my room to clean the beds but left the door ajar.

Hi to all you travellers out there thinking of coming to Plymouth. I original booked to stay in the retreat but when arriving at the Kynance b&b/hotel was given an upgrade. Well what can I say upgrade it was. They were so accommodating it was to good to b true. Well so I thought. I was wrong. Matt and Jenny the owners turned my head completely. I've stayed in 4&5 star hotels all over this country but nothing like this. Not one single thing asked of them was not provided. Waiting and all the other staff Oxy,Lyn,Jordan, John and so many more seem to work in sinc. Breakfast 5*. After reading this you probably think I was somehow put up too giving a good review. Sorry NO. I chose to. The hoe is beautiful. So much more to this b&b/hotel. My last few words. Just enjoy the Kynance citadel rd Plymouth and come away with the memories I have.
Enjoy.
Nothing. How can I give any negative I cant.

Really friendly manager, really helpful. Upgraded to en suite at no extra charge. Comfortable room. Excellent price.
Vegi breakfast is just the meat breakfast with the meat removed. Same price, no additions for the removed food.
