About this house rental
A well situated townhome located in the Irish seaside community of Balbriggan, County Dublin. With easy access to transportation to all corners of Ireland, this 2 bedroom, 1 bath lovely townhome sleeps 4 and has all of the comforts of home. The townhome is nestled in a quaint fishing village which has nearby historical sites dating back to the 14th century. The name of the town in Irish is either Baile Bricin, meaning Town of the Small Trout, or Baile Brigin, meaning Town of the Small Hills. Balbriggan was originally a small fishing village where King William of Orange and his army set up their camp after the Battle of the Boyne in 1690. In 1920 the town was burned and looted by the 'Black and Tans' after a Royal Irish Constable was murdered during the 1916-21 War of Independence.

The property was beautiful, location was perfect, train was perfect. Visited many towns, Dudlin, Malahide, Skerries, Bray, Howth and Balbriggan, what can I say. People are lovely, friendly and so kind. I wish Tom and I stayed longer. We saw a comedy show at the Lark, It's across the street. We ate at the La-La many times, best seafood chowder I ever ate, it's across the street. I truly could go on forever. Thanks Pamela, Tom and Alice from New Jersey

We really enjoyed the accommodations, the house is comfortable, the parking is gated and secure, and the location is just around the corner from restaurants, pharmacies, groceries, coffee, and the pubs. You’ve got to try the Lala restaurant just across the street, lovely people and spectacular food. We would definitely stay here again.

My husband's family live in Balbriggan, so it was great to find a house close to where they live. We found the heaters very confusing as they would come on for a short while and then turn off and was unable to turn them on manually. The house is close to the centre of town and it was easy to walk to the local hotels and restaurants. It was also great to have off street parking as the street has parking meters.

Our house in Balbriggan didn't disappoint it was very comfortable and cosy, supplied with everything you could possibly need for a pleasant stay.

A great place to come home to after spending time touring the country. Very quick and easy to walk to the efficient train system, ocean, restaurants and grocery.
We stayed with our 2 older teen boys and it was perfect, in a lovely part of town, off the Main Street. We felt completely safe walking at any time of the day or night.
The home is clean, tidy and efficient. 5 stars in every area and it had everything we needed to make our stay wonderful, fully stocked kitchen, extra linens, etc.
There are some items to consider packing or buying prior to arrival that the home does not offer, which state-side VRBO's will usually have. This is not a complaint, just some knowledge to help other travelers. Consider bringing/buying a hair dryer, hand soap, shampoo, body wash, dishwasher detergent, pen/pencil & note paper. Also, depending on your length of stay, and how often you cook meals, you will likely need to buy extra paper towel/napkins & toilet paper. We had 4 people, staying for nearly a week and needed to restock.
We will rent this home again, if we get the opportunity to go back to Ireland. We have zero complaints and only praise.

What a wonderful location! Such a quant town with so much to offer. The town house is adorable, comfortable, clean and easy to access. Wonderful accommodations, the owner makes everything so easy! Friendly, helpful neighbors, close to everything, such a hidden gem of a town, we cant wait to go back! Thank you, We truly appreciated everything.

Lovely and comfortable home
I booked this house for my mother who was visiting me in Balbriggan. We both loved the place that was very nice and homely. It's very well equipped with pretty much anything one might need during a holiday. Communication with Pam was easy and pleasant, she was very helpful when I had an issue with the booking process. I highly recommend this property and host!

Perfect location and comfortable house
Pamela’s house is perfectly located for everything in Balbriggan and access to beach, and train on Dublin-Belfast line. Well equipped and, clean and comfortable. The WiFi service is very efficient which was perfect for my remote working. Would highly recommend the property and Pamela who is very responsive and happy to answer all queries quickly.

The property was as described. Very lovely home. It was a home away from home! Everything was very convenient from groceries, transportation, to just walking the town. And the neighbors where very friendly. I would request this home again in a future visit.

Gemütlich und nahe an Dublin Airport
Dieses typisches irisches Reihehaus ist nett eingerichtet und sehr gemütlich. Durch die Lage nahe am Dubliner Flughafen ist es leicht über die M1 zu erreichen, wobei für den Streckenabschnitt vom Flughafen keine Maut anfällt. Auch die Innenstadt von Dublin ist mautfrei zu erreichen, sofern man die richtige Ausfahrt am Knoten mit der M50 nimmt.
Das Bad ist modernisiert worden und im restlichen Haus kann man sich auch sehr wohl fühlen.
In der Nähe ist Skerries, ein kleines Fischerdorf. Die Halbinsel Howth mit seinem Fischerei- und Yachthafen und bekannt für die Fish und Chips (Beschoff's) und natürlich andere Fischspezialitäten.
In der Nähe liegen die schönen Schlösser Ardgillan und auch Malahide.
Auf jeden Fall zu empfehlen. Die Abwicklung mit der Agentur HomeAway und der Besitzerin hat auch problemlos geklappt. Pam schätzt es ihre Gäste per E-M@il kennenzulernen, wenn auch durch die Entferung kein direkter persönlicher Kontakt gegeben war.

Loved my stay in Balbriggan
This was my first experience with a service like VRBO and it was an excellent experience. Pam was very helpful with providing local information about things to do, how to get to Dublin, and history of the area. Great little town with very pleasant residents and nice places to eat, all within walking distance. We had the time of our lives in Ireland. This was a perfect pick for a perfect stay.

Comfortable and Convenient
The townhouse was very clean and comfortable. Pam was very attentive and communicative about our reservation and answered questions quickly. Balbriggan is not a tourist town, and that made it more charming. It was a very convenient location to get to the attractions in the Boyne Valley, to Drogheda, and to Dublin. It also appears to be close enough to Belfast for a day trip...maybe next time.
The bed in the master bedroom was extremely comfortable. THe living area is small but comfy, while the kitchen is big and roomy. It had everything we needed for the cooking that we did.

Very nice town house
We - mother and two Teenagers - stayed there for our summer holidays. We enjoyed it so much! We found everything we needed to cook our meals and to feel at home. The explanation and description of the facilities were very well arranged. We found everything according to the description.
The communication with Pam via email was friendly and uncomplicated.

This two bedroom, one bathroom house is full equipped with a nice kitchen and a comfy living area. It is located in Balbriggan which is a pleasant town. The house is close to a grocery store and is located just a few steps from the train that takes you right into the heart of Dublin.

Great size home, close to the rail station 10 min walk. Extremely well stocked, everything you need is in the house. It's a 5 min walk to the beach.

Very nice place
Very nice place. We stayed there for ten days over the New Year's holidays. House is great for both couples and families alike.
Location is perfect and it's very easy to get to Dublin by train or bus (35 min). Stations are less than ten minutes walk from the house. Belfast is only 2 hours away by train.
There is private parking behind the house, and if you rent a car you can visit lots of places along the coast or inland.
House is very clean and well decorated. Heating was on when we arrived (I forgot to thank Pam for that).
Kitchen is equipped with everything you need and the whole house gives you a feeling of being home away from home.
Quiet neighborhood and nice neighbors. There are a couple of good restaurants in Balbriggan and you can have a nice walk along the coast.
Booking a place has never been easier because Pam responded quickly and gave us a ton of information about town, transportation and nearby amenities . She was always available for questions during our stay.
We had a really nice vacation and were very lucky to have just one rainy day.

Family Wedding
We were travelling to Ireland to attend a family wedding and this property meet our needs perfectly. The location was excellent for us as we were close to family members as well as Dublin city where the weeding took place. The townhouse was clean, fully equipped, and very comfortable. Restaurants, grocery stores, pubs, train station, & beaches were all within a few minutes walk. The neighbors were helpful as well and checked on us to ensure everything was okay during our stay. We had a wonderful trip and would definitely recommend this property!

Girls Trip :)
My friend and I take a girls trip every year and Ireland was our choice this time. We wanted to stay somewhere that would give us the small town feel and really get a sense of Irish living, but we also wanted to be close enough to all the wonderful sights/things Ireland has to offer :) this place was perfect! We stayed for one week and the weather was amazing, we are from Arizona (USA) so it was nice to escape the heat in July. The town house is super adorable and has everything you need. Pam is very helpful and wonderful, she gave us all the information we needed to make our first international trip as easy as possible :) While we were there we toured many castles and explored many towns that are a very close commute. We used all forms of transportation bus, taxi, train, etc. Balbriggan is a great place for those who want a slower paced relaxing vacation. But if you want to travel to the fast paced city it is available with a short commute via public transportation. We also traveled north to Belfast by train and did a tour at the titanic museum, which was very cool and I highly recommend. It did take up one whole day with travel time and the tour itself, but it was well worth it! There are so many other things we would love to have seen/done but you definitely need more then one week to accomplish all the great things Ireland has to offer. Hopefully we will get to go back to Ireland someday, and if we do then we will probably stay in Balbriggan again or close to it because we loved the area so much! Thank you Pam for all your help, your place in Balbriggan is an adorable, convenient, comfortable home away from home :) we loved everything about it!

Great place for a family!
We traveled to Balbriggan to visit my mother-in-law and rented this place so we could have our own space. We had our 6 year-old and 4-month old with us. It was quiet and well-located. We walked to the beach every day. We were within walking distance of groceries and restaurants. There was everything in the house that we could have possibly needed. It was clean and the beds were comfortable. The owner and caretakers were helpful and made sure we had everything we needed. If you are looking for a typical Irish meal, the Sunday dinner at the Bracken Hotel is great.

Cosy and superbly equipped holiday home
A home from home feel about the house as soon as we walked in, very cosy and very well equipped. We have two small children and stayed for five nights and found the house an excellent base to tour around the local area by car, and also used the train to go into Dublin city one day. Great location for young family with excellent (free) playgounds at Ardgillan Castle and Newbridge House and Farm. Dublin Zoo a great day out also.

Great vacation getaway
This cottage exceeded my expectations. The property was clean and well maintained. The beds were comfortable and the water pressure was excellent. It had all the amenities you might need or enjoy. Very close to the beach and the train station. Thirty minutes to downtown Dublin by express train. The house was within walking distance of pubs and coffee shops. I enjoyed the peace and quiet it offered particularly at night.
The owner is most helpful and accomodating. I would highly recommend this listing and would recommend it to family and friends.

Charming and convenient.
It was wonderful to stay in a town that was not full of tourists and to get a real feel for living in Ireland. The townhouse is very well equipped and charming. Not only were we close to the ocean but the train to Dublin (a short ride) was a short walk. Pam was an incredibly helpful hostess. We loved it.
