This newer vacation condo is part of the Compass Pointe Club in Wells, Maine (45 Post Road, unit #16; east side of Route 1), just steps from the Ogunquit town line. You are only minutes from all of Maine's southern coast activities. Make your family memories here!
So that all of our guests have an enjoyable stay, we have a property manager on call, as well as Compass Pointe's site manager.
This condo is located in one of the duplex buildings, providing ample space and comfort. The condo features hardwood floors throughout. A beautiful eat-in kitchen, with granite counter tops and stainless steel appliances is fully equipped for your cooking needs - just bring the lobster!
Relax in the sunroom appointed with nautical décor. The full-size, pullout coach sleeps two. Enjoy cable television, watch a movie on the Blu-ray, play a board game, work a puzzle -or simply spend time with a good book. The sunroom leads to the deck (the condo is on the third level-top floor) which overlooks the fabulous Compass Pointe swimming pool.
Two comfortable bedrooms will complete your stay. We recently replaced the mattresses and box springs. One bedroom has a queen bed, the other full size; each bedroom features cable television, dressers for storage and large closets. The full bathroom is complete with a shower and tub, granite counter-top and plenty of storage. The additional one-half bath makes mornings much less stressful.
Yes, we have WI-FI, air conditioning and a grill. The condo unit comes with two designated parking spots (one exterior adjacent to the building; the second is in the garage).
Enjoy the amenities of Compass Pointe Club:
The clubhouse features a fitness room and large gathering room. Ping pong and the large screen TV will occupy the kids on rainy days. When the beaches are crowded and the ocean water is chilly, the temperature of the pool is just right. There is a shallow end for the little ones. (The pool is open Memorial Day weekend through mid-September and is heated!). A short trail on the Compass Pointe property leads to a kayak launch onto the Ogunquit River.
Enjoy the sites: we are less than one mile (walk, drive or trolley) to Footbridge Beach (Ogunquit) and Moody Beach (Moody/Wells) and a few minutes drive to Ogunquit Beach and Wells Beach. Enjoy mini-golf? We're a half mile away from Wonder Mountain featuring mini-golf, go-carts and an arcade.
The Trolley, which travels north to Wells, Kennebunk, and Kennebunkport and south to Ogunquit, York and Kittery, stops right across the street.
Avid bikers? Bring your bikes and store in the private garage.
There are several restaurants and seafood shacks within walking distance on Route One. We're a four minute drive to the lively Village of Ogunquit and eight minutes from Perkins Cove. Many enjoy the summer walk to the village shops and restaurants.

Unit was accurately described, clean and well maintained. We liked how close it was to downtown Ogunquit, restaurants and other activities we had planned. Would definitely recommend.

This was our first time not staying within walking distance to Footbridge Beach and had no issues. We drove to the beach, no issues with parking, and my kids loved coming back to the pool. Very clean and provides linen and towels. We will back.

Only negative point was the cleanliness of the propery that could improve a little (food on tve kitchen floor, underneath the table, when we arrived). But very positive overall.

This is a nice property but some of the info provided should be clearer. The listing clearly stated linens are not provided. We brought our own (which needed to be purchased specifically for this trip as we don't have beds the sizes of those in this unit) The day before arrival I received a message asking if we wanted linens to be provided. I did not respond as I had already purchased them and it wasn't clear if there would be an extra charge to use the ones offered. When we arrived the linens were waiting in the unit. I went to extra expense and it would have been nice to know that I didn't need to especially since they are nothing I need for my own home. It also wasn't communicated what needed to be done with regard to washing or even if the beds needed to be stripped before leaving. I also wish that I had known how bad the traffic gets going in to Ogunquit. I would likely have stayed closer if I had known. We sat in a lot of traffic going in and out of town, even though it isn't that far. The unit itself was nice and the pool was great even though the water was VERY cold. Just need to clear up your communication on what is and is not provided and the check-out expectations.

We arrived at 20h00, it was real hot (90 deg) no air conditioned working. The toilet of the main restroom wasn't working and even its wall valve wasn't working either.
The next morning , we had a very good day light. It was very dirty, so we decided to split the cleaning projetc to all of our 4 persones in order to live a good stay.
So in conclusion, we are very very disapointed about the quality overall, and very very surprised about the reviews. That really remove any credibility ti teh reviews..

My husband and I stayed here over Labor Day weekend and we really enjoyed this condo. The location is ideal with restaurants and beach access all within 5-15 min of the unit. The unit itself had everything we could possibly need for our stay, all we needed were some grocery essentials and we were all set. We will definitely stay here again.

The process was seamless from checking in to checking out. Unit was great everything you need was there and the location was top notch. Easy access to everything. We had a great week and a half in Wells at this property. The property was clean, check in was so easy, and the unit was well furnished with everything needed. The only complaint is that we had various struggles to get the TV to work. At first it was due to old remote batteries and after that we were unsure of the issue. The property manager James was responsive and great as he had to come out to the property on his day off we we locked ourselves out. Would definitely stay again!

Mixed bag
We've stayed in many vacation rentals from Boston (right before this) to Florida, Europe, Oregon and many places in between. While generally speaking the property is fine, the details are a bit lacking/subpar. It's hard to get a great review from us when all three of the beds were bad. They weren't average, they were bad. My wife and I had a bed that creaked and groaned something terrible. And it was soft in a cheap way. The same could be said for the 2nd bedroom. And then the pullout was either badly worn or also cheap. The same could be said for other areas of the rental - we were given sheets, pillow cases, and hand towels, but none of them were put on/hung. There was no bar soap. And in the fitness room, no weight over 10 lbs. There's also a deck but no furniture is allowed. The kitchen is new, the layout fine, it's just not a very memorable place.

We liked the property very much and will look to book again next year. Disappointed that there was no grill. And weren’t able to bring one on property. I had brought a cooler of hand cut steaks, chicken and kebabs. That are now in my freezer. Having to spend more on food than budgeted. Great additions To the unit would be More comfortable patio furniture, and the kitchen having a teakettle. But all in all great unit, good location good price good communication

This condo is in a great location. You can easily access many beaches, restaurants, etc. The pool is perfect for kids. The listing was accurate - everything was as advertised. The bed and pillows could have been better quality but otherwise this place has all the comforts of home. We’d definitely return to this place.
