About this house rental

Welcome to Moody Maine! Our newly constructed, 1400 sq. ft, open floor plan house is waiting for you to make your vacation memories. Perfect for families or couples with a desirable location on the beach side of route 1. It is a very quiet neighborhood with a half mile walk to Moody Beach. It is just a 3/4 mile walk to Ogunquit Beach.

Also just a five minute walk and hop on the trolley to Ogunquit , Wells Beach, or up to Kennebunk. (Trolleys are seasonal) It is great for kids to ride bikes, skateboards. roller blades or just walking.

There is a 1/4 mile walk to your choice of 4 restaurants

1- New England House- Sports Bar and pub with maine seafood menu
2- Spinakers- Dine in or take out a large seafood and more
3- Browns Clam Shanty- Dine in or take out with a large menu of seafood and more
4- Lee Franks- Hamburg and Hot dog resteraunt

The House has ice cold central AC as well as a propane fire place in the living room

The first floor is an open kitchen dining and living room area. Features granite countertops, spacious island, 55 in TV with WIFI, cathedral ceilings, 2 bedrooms with queen sizes beds and a full bathroom. It also has a washer & dryer.

The 2nd floor is the master suite with 2 queen size beds and full bathroom. There is also a loft with a living area complete with a love seat.

Outside it features a front deck, great for relaxing, a side space complete with gas grill, a complete outdoor shower and a meditation garden area.

There is parking for 2 to 3 vehichles. It generally fits 3 or 4 no problem.

*Linens are provided to use if needed and are stacked on the beds. Towels and wash cloths are provided and are the renters responsibility to wash and get in the dryer before leaving*

Ideal place for family get away. Clean and full of needed amenities. Great location and excellent hosts who were very accommodating. Nice to have them close by. Walking distance to best beach in Maine. Note that closest beach access was limited in space however 1/2 mile more to a public beach with ample space and public restrooms! Awesome for walks and running!!

There was not enough seating for family to eat together. Some people had to eat outside on the chairs on the porch. It did not accommodate other family members who were staying at seaglass.

The house was as advertised, very welcoming and clean. Plenty of space for everyone and in a good location. Half mile walk to Moody beach access at the end of Bourne Ave which made for any easy walk. The setup of the house works well with kids as they can have their own space upstairs. House is located in a nice quiet neighborhood. Recommend for anyone looking to stay in the Wells area.

Easy check in, clean, had everything that we needed. Plenty of space for us, with a 23 yo daughter and 21 yo son and friend. Nice to have washer and dryer. Peaceful neighborhood. Thank you for a nice neighborhood.

A mini reunion for 5 friends. The accommodations were wonderful and suited us just fine. The house was clean and had everything we needed for our comfort and enjoyment. The location is perfect! One minor suggestion would be to have hooks for towels in the upstairs bathroom. Other than that, we would definitely consider this rental for a return trip. We enjoyed our long weekend at this lovely home. Experienced snow on the beach for the first time! What a treat to warm up by the fireplace afterward! Loved the loft sitting area and open living space, and was impressed with how quiet the house was for us that like to go to bed early...we were able to sleep even with the night owls in our group carrying on a conversation downstairs. Our family enjoyed a fun weekend ringing in 2024 at this lovely house. Located a short walk to Moody Beach and very close to the main road, it’s the best of both worlds. You can take a peaceful walk to the ocean or get a coffee at Dunkin in minutes. The house was well stocked for cooking meals. The space was clean upon arrival. Four queen beds is tough to find and perfect for a family with adult children who have outgrown the bunk bed situation. Great stay.

Four 60+ year-old college friends, having a small reunion. This is a lovely setting and location, despite. chilly/wet weather. Kitchen and entire house seem "new." Living room comfortably seats 5, but could do 7. Kitchen/eating area can manage 6, but also plenty of standing room. Kitchen is well stocked with utensils, etc. and good quality coffee machines of a variety of ilks (drip, Keurig, espresso). Full-sized fridge. Three bedrooms, four double beds, and two sleep-able couches (admittedly in full view, not tucked away). You could walk the road through the marsh to the beach, but it would be a 15-minute or so walk. Beach is fantastic. Lots of closed businesses in November at this summer resort area, but the beach and Cliff Walk are walkable all the time. A few good options for food if you don't feel like cooking. We enjoyed Brickyard Hollow pizza. Host was immediately responsive before and after our stay, and very helpful. Can really see how this would be a superior location in the summer months. Glad we came, had a fantastic time!

The home was spacious and clean. Host was accommodating, notifying us that the house was ready earlier than designated check-in and allowed us to leave our car parked in the yard for a bit after check-out so that we could walk down and enjoy another stroll on the beach prior to leaving town.

A nice house in a small and quiet neighborhood. All is as advertised in the listing. Great front porch for morning coffee. The location is very good. Shops and restaurants on Post Road are an easy walk, and the grocery store is a short drive. The walk to Moody Beach is also easily managed. However, as Moody Beach is private, you can only walk along this beach. You will have to drive to one of the nearby public beaches if you plan to set up for the day. Check-in was simple. Shawn reached out to let us know the house was ready early, which was much appreciated.

A big thanks to Shawn for hosting us this summer. The house was just as we expected. The location is great to walk, bike or drive to the beach. We frequented North Beach and the main OGT beach. If you arrive later than 10 am on the weekend to North Beach, I recommend dropping off and biking back. The beaches had hourly or a daily rates. Daily was 30 for North Beach and 40 for OGT. The neighborhood was quiet and the landscaping was beautiful. We were very sad to leave.

We loved our stay! The weather cooperated for the most part and it was great having a beach that was close to get to. We also got some great walking in as well- the house was plenty roomy and was in a perfect location between Ogunquit and Kennebunkport. Shawn was easy to reach with any question we had. Will definitely want to stay again!
