The property was as advertised and in great condition. Location is good, walkable to pubs and restaurants, grocery store, the waterfront and more. Peter, the owners representative was pleasant and very responsive anytime we had a question.

Delightful stay in this home which was exactly as described in the listing. Great location, not far from all the action of the Galway city center.

My husband, kids and I loved our time in Galway ay the Coach House. It was clean, spacious and short walk to Galway center. :)

Three Americans (one family) in for a few days of exploration in Galway and Clare. Wonderful location. Quiet and removed from downtown yet only 5-10 minute walk to the heart of the city. Clean property. Wonderful and kind property owner.

Such a fun space with living area, kitchen & plenty of bedrooms and bathroom space for all of us (5 ). Kitchen could be better stocked with some basics (salt, pepper, oil) but good set up for a small group. Excellent location with tasty pub, restaurant, cafe options within walking distance. Off street parking was perfect - finding the place was a bit tricky but once you understand, it's great. Thank you to "Peter" who met us and was very helpful & responsive via text. Will totally stay here again if/when we are back in Galway!

This place was great and the listing is very accurate, no surprises. Very modern and very clean. Communication with host was no problem. The location suited our needs perfectly. Walking distance to downtown and beach. We would most definitely stay here again.

Wonderful location! The house is perfect for a family, group of friends, a few couples. Lots of space, everything you need, in a great neighborhood. We were able to walk to the market for our food and easily walk downtown for our fun. Zero complaints.
Thanks for hosting us …we want to come back asap.

We had a great stay at the Coach house. The one big thing that needs to be improved is the check-in process. Even with very detailed instructions, it was very difficult to find the property, the keys, and to know where to park. I would hate to try and find this place in the dark. Photos of where you turn to get into property, which is behind buildings, down a narrow lane would be helpful. Overall, photos would help, we think. Thank you for the opportunity to comment! It is a very nice property.

My husband and I stayed at the Coach House with my mother in law for six nights. We found it to be conveniently located and well appointed. We could walk to the Tesco, the Latin Quarter, the bus stop, and the West End with ease. Enjoyed many evenings of live music at The Crane Bar and found a lovely coffee shop, Barista Bus, just down the road. Piotr was so friendly and accommodating. Enjoyed the bottle of wine, crackers, and Irish cheese that welcomed us. Fell in love with Ireland and hope to return soon!

Great location and a great place to stay. A 2/3-minute walk to grocery store and 2/3-minute walk to several great restaurants and pubs. Parking is available for those with a car but not necessary because the location is ideal for walking to all of the Galway attractions. We were comfortable with 5 adults and could have had 1-2 more adults with ease. I highly recommend this place. We will return soon.

Despite a minor issue with the check in process that was resolved fairly quickly, we enjoyed our stay at this Townhouse. Good location for access to central Galway with bars and restaurants within five minutes' walk. The fact that there is also parking is a bonus if travelling by car.
Property is well maintained and ideal for a family or group of friends staying in Galway

We were in Galway without a car, but we found The Coach House to be in a great location. Just minutes from groceries and the city centre, it was perfect for our family. The beds were extraordinarily comfortable, and the heated floors, modern appliances, and attentive hosts made our stay extremely relaxing.

Great location. Owner made sure we checked in. We were running late to check in - her property manager,Peter, came back to check on us. Would definitely stay here again.

Cathy was a great host and the house was lovely. Plenty of room for 8 people and great location for Galway city.

Stayed with 4 adults and 2 children. The coach house is wonderful! Size, location, parking, owner, and hospitality are all top notch. I would highly recommend for groups or families. Walking distance to anything in Galway with shops, grocery, parks, pubs, restaurants, and anything else within minutes. Thank you for a wonderful vacation!

A wonderful location and a beautiful house to stay in. The only criticism would be the 'extra' little charges which are not called out specifically at the beginning. Car parking charges and 'voluntary' surcharges should be included in the total price.

We had six of us traveling and decided on the Coach House which was incredible. There was room for everyone and plenty of bathrooms. Washer and dryer was also great to have as we traveled light. Cathy was a delight to deal with and takes pride in her home. She supplied us with food on our arrival which after traveling all day was fantastic. The house may be a bit hard to find as we are use to everything being on a street but just do a street view google and you will find it easily. It is a 5-8 minute walk to the center of all the fun yet quiet in the evening. I would not hesitate to use the coach house again and I highly recommend it to everyone.

Our stay at the Coach House was very enjoyable. Great location for walking to Galway City Centre. Property was as advertised. Very clean, spacious and lots of amenities. The welcome basket is an especially nice touch. Would certainly recommend it for a stay in Galway. Cathy was prompt in responding to any inquiries and was genuinely interested in us having an enjoyable stay.

The location was great & the house was very well equipped & clean! There were 7 in our family. My adult granddaughter broke her foot 2 days before our trip so being able open up the couch in the dining room for her to sleep on & having the half bath close made it easier & more comfortable for her.
Our rental van broke down on the way from Dublin thus causing our arrival to be after dark. Cathy’s directions to the coach house were perfect..no problem there, however, we had a 9 passenger van which was quite the challenge getting thru the narrow driveway...good navigator & driver made it thru with only 1 minor scrape to the mirror. After that we just parked on the street like many other people & there seemed not to be an issue.
The gift of food essentials..fruit, breakfast items, coffee, milk ,juice & cookies were thoughtful, helpful & greatly appreciated. A suggestion to add to those wonderful items would be a jug of bottled water😊 Everyone was parched after the very long trip.
The house was very well equipped but we couldn’t quite figure out the heat and were cold a couple of days. One day the heat was actually off but someone did come to fix it and we were fine after that.
Another suggestion would be to add a few more over the door hooks for the bathrooms (especially the upstairs one with shower) & 2 of the bedrooms.
The location was great..a nice store, & pharmacy within a few minutes walk. There were places to eat & shop also within a short walking distance but those were not quite close enough with a broken foot so we did short drives there..
We loved Galway and enjoyed our stay at the coach house. Thank you.

The place was in a terrific location - close to everything but quiet. The house was well equipped, clean and the basket of food appreciated. The house did have an odor that may just be the must from damp weather, although it seemed more than that. For some of us that odor caused a mild allergic reaction. We never heard from the manager which would have been nice. But we didn't really needed them, so no harm no foul.

We knew the Coach House was going to be nice from the pictures and you can never go wrong in Galway. It was incredible. We have been to Galway 4 times in the last 10 years. This trip was for a wedding so we didn't want to stay with family members. My financee, two sisters and I really loved the Coach House. We all had so much space. My financee found the VRBO on line from our desks in San Diego. All we told her was Galway and make it central. It was exactly that. 3 minute walk to Kai, 3 and a half to The Crane, maybe 10 to Monroe's. We walked to my uncle's house in Coogan Park. We walked to every corner of Eirye Square. 2 of the nights we stayed in and enjoyed the Coach House. Incredibly clean, warm, fireplace, dishes, hair blow dryers for the girls, skylights, incredible bedding (I slept in every day-window open listening to some rain), heated floors to walk across, gift basket, blankets everywhere, bags for the grocery store, I really could go on an on. Full kitchen so lovely. We walked to grocery store two short blocks away.
Liz was so nice to us. She welcomed us, accepted our phone calls with questions about town, and really reminded me of Irish hospitality.

This is a fabulous place. Liz is a wonderful and very entertaining lady. The Coach house is immaculate and everything from the bedrooms/baths and kitchen is just like home. We (6 of us) stayed for just over3 weeks mid-Sept to mid-Oct. 2013. I love to do the cooking, so we prepared most of our meals here. The kitchen has everything one needs. Even a very well stocked spice cabinet. There is a good grocery store within five minutes, so no trouble finding food supplies. It's a lovely walk to the city, just over the river Corrib. We took tours to The Cliffs of Moher, the Aran Islands and Connemara. Spectacular scenery. Galway is a gem of a city. Virtually everything within walking distance. The pubs are wonderful, there is a farmer's market in town on the week-end. Lot's of fresh vegetables, arts and crafts. I cannot say enough, and we cannot wait to return. Sla'inte.

Perfect spot for 1-10 pp. We spent a week here (10 pp in our family) & it was a great central location. Walking distance to all Galway has to offer & to public transportation for venturing off. The accommodations were complete & relaxing. We would (& have) highly recommend The Coach House & the Silver Teal apts for a visit to Ireland! Thank you Cathy & Liz! Our parents had a most memorable 50th anniversary trip (as did we)!

We loved staying here, the owner has put so much thought in design and comfort, I really appreciated this. All of her recommendations for dining were excellent, Kai being my favorite. Day trips to Clifden and Aran Islands and golf (even Ballybunion!) were fun and easy, and of course coming home to the cozy coach house was so nice. thank you!

We recently stayed in the Coach House, a lovely three-bedroom property hidden behind the Crescent. The Coach House was very nice, and very well appointed, with three nice bedrooms, a sitting or TV room, a kitchen with dining area, two full baths and two half baths (make sure Liz shows you how the flush the toilet in the half bath in the entry - it's tricky), and a laundry area. The property was quite spacious. Everything you would want in a vacation rental - and more - was provided for us. I've stayed in VRBO properties all over the US, and I've never had a welcome basket of food provided for me. The welcome basket was extremely helpful and saved us from having to go shopping right away, as well as being full of yummy items. All the appliances (such as the washer/dryer) worked well. The location was good, only about a city block away from a grocery store, and about a ten minute walk into the start of the downtown area. It was about a 20-25 minute walk to the main square and the bus that takes you to the Aran Islands. It was a five minute walk to the nearest playground if you're traveling with kids. It was a bit difficult for taxi drivers to find, as Devon Place is really just a driveway. If you direct your taxi driver to Number 1, the Crescent, you'll be pretty close and then you go down a driveway around the back to the Coach House. We would definitely stay here again.

I was here to direct a play at the Galway Arts Festival and we had a number of relatives joining us, so the size of the apartments was key. Our son and his wife took an apartment across the way, and we took the house. In all there were 10 of us and the house and apartment were perfect for our needs. A nice walk to Galway City and wonderfully appointed rooms, I will definitely go back if we are fortunate enough to come back. The hosts were most accommodating and helpful. WE LOVE GALWAY!

We were a party of six staying at the Coach House for a few days during the Galway Oyster Festival. The location was conveniently near to the city but difficult to find down a very narrow passage. It was a well equipped house, spotlessly clean and the basket of groceries and fruit on arrival was much appreciated.
We chose the house because it was described as having three double bedrooms and three bathrooms which would have been ideal for six people. However there were no bathrooms just two shower rooms, one upstairs and one in the utility room, and a downstairs toilet. We chose not to use the shower room in the utility room because the smell from the large oil tank was overpowering.
The three bedrooms had double beds but only one room had a wardrobe which we all had to share with limited storage space in the linen cupboard. The bedrooms were small particularly the one adjoining the patio area.
The house was described as the only residential unit behind office blocks and flats. The outlook from the house towards the back of these units was grim and did not fit the description of "the lovely old houses in a private lane".
So not we were expecting but thankfully Galway City was as lively as ever and the surrounding countryside was wonderful.

We have traveled extensively using VRBO listings and were delighted with our choice this summer in Ireland. We love feeling at home and the Coach House provided us with everything we could have hoped for in a Galwegian home! Liz and her son Robert made sure we were provided with every comfort possible! They put so much energy into making our time in Galway more enjoyable than we could ever have expected and we can't thank them enough for their warmth and hospitality. It may rain a lot in Ireland but the warmth of our home and the friendship extended to us made everyday a beautiful day! We definitely would recommend this property and the wonderful city of Galway - our three weeks flew by and we are blessed with fantastic memories!

My husband and I rented this unit for 9 days on May, 2012 ans we would/will return for certain. The Coach House is bright, very clean and comfortable, well equipped and very well situated for access to the vibrant and inviting downtown Galway area. All conveniences and many extras are supplied and the owner was very responsive and accessible when questions arose. I would recommend to friends and family and hope to get back again ourselves before too long. Thanks for everything, Liz!.. We loved our time with you.
UNDER NICKNAME.... below... the application did not permit me to revise so it now reads, in error, Loved Dublin.. It should read Loved Galway.. or left blank.. please fix this

Seven friends and I recently stayed at the Cresent in Galway. The house was amazing, finished to a very high standard with under floor heating – had everything you need to just arrive and settle in. It is in a great location – approximately 7 minute walk to city centre and had a supermarket round the corner.
The welcome basket meant we had plenty provisions in for breakfast in the morning including cereals, snacks, fruit, milk, rashers and sausages! The rooms were bright and clean – the property had ample space to sleep the 8 people. There was also a terrace area with a BBQ if we wanted. Liz was a lovely host and was so welcoming with suggestions of lovely places to walk, dine, etc. Overall I’d highly recommend this house as a place to stay!
