This beautiful updated home has 2 bedrooms and 2 baths with a large Living/Dining and Kitchen area for entertaining. The kitchen has top of the line stainless steel appliances with Quartz Countertops. The Dining area features comfortable seating with room for 8. the home sleeps 4 in beds.
This property is not handicap accessible.
The back yard is your own Oasis, with privacy fence with large heated inground pool. Close distance to many restaurants and stores. I mile to beach.

This property is located in a nice neighborhood. We enjoyed the pool. We did not give a 5 star review because of issues with the air conditioner not keeping up with cooling the house in afternoons/evenings. Also had an issue with ants in the kitchen. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay.

This property was great. The kitchen and bathrooms were updated and all the bedrooms had flat screen tvs. The pool was amazing and private. The property was nicer than the pictures showed on VRBO. We wish the kitchen was a little better stocked with cooking utensils, but that is only because we did a lot of cooking. Also, a little book with instructions would have been helpful (like the plumbing in 2 bathrooms were opposite with the hot and cold water).

The host monitors everything you do. Patio chairs are broken, railing on balcony is missing spindles making it dangers for young children, the just charged me $200 for a broken cabinet draw that required 4 screws installed. The issues with the house revolve strictly around the host and the lack of maintenance on the property, until they can charge a renter for the repairs.

The property met our needs extremely well. My wife is a cleanaholic and put her passion to work. I absolutely loved the pool area and its privacy from the neighbors.

We had a great stay! Location and neighborhood was great! Very private but close to stores and grocery shopping. A few little things with the house, issues with no hot water in the downstairs shower was a bit inconvenient, but overall we loved the house and it worked very well for my family of 5 and 2 other adult family members! More beach chairs, umbrellas would be great! There were some old ones, not many functional chairs for large groups. The pool was great and my kids swam every minute they could!

We had an amazing stay at this home. It has all you need in a perfect location. My daughter lived in the pool the whole time. Neighborhood is beautiful and close to grocery and dockside, which is a bar and food on the water. Would 10/10 recommend this property!

Nice, quiet neighborhood, peaceful and relaxing. Property is clean and well stocked (linens, soap, toilet paper, etc). It’s a great location in that you can easily travel up and down the Keys within an hour or so either way. Great pool area and privacy. Owner is quick to respond to messages.

In the description it states that you can bring 2 dogs to the house for a fee. Before booking, I sent the owner a message stating that we had 4 non shedding dogs that were quiet and housebroken and asked if we could still book the house. The response I received was an invitation to stay, with the bill for the first installment. I had another question for the owner and for some reason this question was sent through a different thread. She again sent me the bill for the first installment and then later the second one which were all paid for.
After traveling from New York (2 days) to come to the Keys, I woke up our first morning there to two messages from the owner stating that I had 3 dogs on the property and that I didn’t ask or pay for. We actually had four dogs. She stated that if I didn’t pay for them immediately we would have to leave the property. Very threatening.. I had no problem paying for the dogs and did so immediately. The issue I have is that when I showed her the screenshots of the conversation asking if we could bring them she continued to be rude and said that she obviously didn’t read that message. Yet she sent me a bill in that same thread?? I realized that she sent a bill in both threads and I paid for the property in the second thread which did not have the charge for the dogs. This was an oversight on both of our parts. I apologized and I paid immediately once I realized the mistake. We were in no way trying to “sneak” our dogs onto the property without paying. I would have left a great review had she been a little nicer about the whole situation. However, her continued defensive attitude made the whole experience crummy. We have been traveling to Florida for over 10 years and stayed at different properties and have never been treated so poorly. The other reviews of people stating that she is threatening and watching you on the cameras are true. Also all of the comments about things that need updating such as the lock on the sliding glass door, the need for more than one lounge chair at the pool and the exposed wiring around the pool still need to be addressed. Our group is pretty easy to please. I am not just leaving a “hateful” review like she stated about another person’s review. Nor are we trying to get any money back. I just wanted to leave an honest review of our experience. I also have screenshots of our interactions in case she tries to claim that I am just being “hateful”.

This house is amazing!! We loved the beautiful yard and pool. It was very clean, so close to Publix, Winn Dixie, dinning and all the shops. A very short ride to the beach!! It was just perfect.

Very nice home in a nice safe neighborhood. The private back yard and pool are like a secluded little paradise. Very easy check in and out. It was hard to leave.

A really wonderful house to holiday in. The kitchen is beautifully laid out with a large gas hob, a very large fridge freezer and even what we call a sludge gulper (insinkerator). No kettle though and as we are British, boiling water on the hob all day was annoying. There’s a pleasant lounge and 3 nice bedrooms and bathrooms.
Misleading in that it doesn’t mention that the stairs between the 2 floors are outside. We were 2 couples so wanted to use the king and the queen bed, not the twin beds. This meant 1 couple had to go outside to get to their bedroom. Once down in our room we noticed that there were no wardrobes or even draws to put our clothes in. There was a closet but it was full of linens and towels so we had to live out of our suitcases. The security of the downstairs room was novel. The door was locked on the outside by a bike padlock and once inside we had a plank of wood to stop the sliding door from opening. Odd but it worked.
The pool area is lovely with plenty of chairs and a barbecue. There is also a large garden storage box filled with pool toys, floats and even a couple of folding chairs. Very useful.

Had a great stay there over Christmas week 2022.....Everything was ably described in website description and worked fine. I'd recommend some attention to downstairs apartment exterior door lock and new internal burner/flavorizer bars for the gas grill.. It was a great week sending time with family over the holidays, being on Marathon, in the middle keys made for convenient drives (about 1 hour) to both hang out in Key West and Scuba Dive in the Marine Santuary off Key Largo....snorkeling closeby in Bahai Honda SP was great too.

Home is nice but downstairs AC did not work for first 2 days of our stay, and pool pump had a bearing that was going out so crazy loud and could not really use either space. All corrected now. Also had dirty dishes in dishwaher when we arrived.
Now that all fixes are in may stay again.

A late review as we visited family after we left Marathon and then came home to life BUT....... we LOVED the property and had a great stay! Communicating with Ginny was easy and she was always prompt to reply. The house was wonderful as it had everything we needed and the location was perfect! The POOL was AWESOME! We appreciated having our 2 small pups with us too! They enjoyed exploring the beautiful tropical yard and chasing lizards! This comfortable home made for a fantastic relaxing getaway and we hope to return someday!!

Family stay for wedding in Big Pine.
Neighborhood was very nice and quiet. Only one mile to Publix. Pool was awesome!! Everything was clean. All appliances were new/newer. Linens and towels could use replaced. But wouldn’t stop us from staying again. Our family of 8 adults had a great time at Ginny and Toms place!!

Great location when visiting the keys!
Loved the house and the pool. Would have liked more than one chaise lounge around the pool, but we made it work. Don’t forget to visit the little bar at the marina up the street! Very friendly! Loved Bahia Honda State Park, beautiful beach.

Great Stay!
We loved this property! It fit our needs perfectly. It would be nice if the downstairs apartment had a dresser for clothes and not just the water heater closet. Other than that the property is well maintained. The pool is amazing to have especially after long beach mornings. The kitchen is well equipped and our kids loved the bench seating at the table. Property manager is pretty good at getting back to you in a timely manner. Location is key with this property as well. It’s close to Sombrero beach and the Publix. We will be booking future vacations here!

The bedroom downstairs needs a bureau because there is no place to put your clothes & toiletries. We bought coffee mugs because there was no big coffee cups. Also more kit utensils would be helpful.The pool was very nice.

Wonderful trip
We had a lil hick up to start, the frig upstairs in the main part wasn’t working, but the homeowner worked as fast as they could and got us a brand new one with in a few days,( it happens, no worries!!) the house, location and amenities were fabulous!! I highly recommend this home!! We were truly central to everything!!!

Perfect for our stay, especially the pool
We had a great time and found the home to be everything we needed. After reading through past reviews, we thought there might be a few disappointments but there definitely were not. We’re flexible people so we were willing to roll with whatever we found when we got there. We found the place to be clean with plenty of towels and linens (including dish towels). All the appliances worked well. The downstairs humidifier and a/c units kept the downstairs perfectly comfortable and smell free. We absolutely loved the pool and the outside furniture and grill. Sombrero Beach is nearby and is as good of a beach as you can find in the Keys. We highly recommend visiting the Crane Point Nature Center across the street and Island Fish Company for dinner out. And Sweet Savannah’s for ice cream.

Nice place, but needs attention
Much as we enjoyed our stay at the house, there are items that require fixing:
There are 3 outlets in the back (2 on the balcony, 1 near pool patio), all of which lack SAFE outlet covers
There’s also some old wiring around the rear pool deck that should be removed (dangerous ? don't know)
Nearly all lawn furniture out back is dilapidated and needs to be replaced.
The pool fountain doesn’t seem to work.
Light in refrigerator needs to be repaired/replaced.
There are no dedicated kitchen dishrags.
The hot water in the downstairs shower needs attention (can’t get a good flow… perhaps mixer is installed wrong)
The plastic bracket which holds the handheld shower downstairs is broken.
Queen sheets downstairs need to be replaced (ragged and too small for thick mattress).
The lock on the back door needs to be fixed.
Neither of the upstairs screen doors are operable.
That said we enjoyed our stay. The place just needs some TLC.

Not what we paid for!
The owner doesn't communicate well, she is very threatening and doesn't communicate unless she thinks you are wrecking her place. We traveled from Minnesota and since the property said it had a working washer and dryer we packed lighter and planned to do laundry. We got there on a Sunday and went to wash clothes on Wednesday and discovered the dryer didn't work. When I contacted the owner she said "oh yeah the dryer quick working last Friday". She never once let us know, we could have packed differently if she had. There was only one wash cloth in a 3 bedroom house for up to 8 people, only a couple towels for showering, no hand towels, no wash clothes for dishes etc. When we got there the key was supposed to be in lock box, lock box was open and not working properly. The entry door for the bottom had the lock broken and appeared to be broken into. Owner didn't know about this until I told her. Door had been scratched many times from people trying to lock the door so it had been broken for a long time. One day my daughter was trying to get the air conditioning unit in her room in basement to work and accidently adjusted the temp to 65 degrees. There were no notes in the basement on the wall or anywhere on what temp owner wanted the air conditioner set at. Instead she texted me threatening me I would lose my damage deposit if we didn't turn the temp back to 72. The sheets were stained, old and had fuzz balls all over them. When you pay for a place like this its very frustrating to get poorer quality linens then you have at home. The owner skimps on a lot of things but thinks since it looks good on the photo's its a castle. The house and pool are great, don't expect to get much more other then an owner who will threaten you. We still had a great time even though the owner is very angry, doesn't communicate and makes threats to take your damage deposit. We did not cause any damage and we left the place like we found it. Stuff in the refrigerators and freezers that had not been thrown away from the previous guests. There was a little hand broom in the closet that you would have had to get on your hands and knees to sweep the floor. I have rented a lot of VRBO properties this was the poorest one I have stayed at. It is a beautiful property but don't expect much else.
